    My mum works 12 hour shifts in the UK. She comes home scared and she doesn’t even want to come near us cause they aren’t doing any testing. Big up all the hardworking Nurses across the world. You guys are risking your safety to protect our countries. We love you

      Cure is orders magnitude more expensive than prevention. What caused this is cheap, fast, plentiful air travel. It caused this virus to travel all over the world almost instantaneously with no time to prepare. We don't need more medical resources, we need to stop making travel so cheap that people do it constantly with ease.

      They’re getting them, like almost 3 weeks ahead of preliminary schedule, which had them at 4-5 weeks before they received Any supplies, and now they are receiving a naval medical ship packed with supplies.       I'm from Argentina and my friend who is a nurse cries everyday but not because of Coronavirus itself, which is just raising and hopefully will flatten soon due the total quarantine we are in, she cries because her coworkers who are dealing with Covid cases don't have the equipment and more than one is getting sick and the government is not testing like they should, so we basically will never know who has or had it.

    I'm an ICU nurse, too. We have got to get our minds right in order to get through this. These patients are so, so sick. Some will die. It's terrible, but put your head down, focus your attention and put your emotions aside. We will make it through this.

    What this pandemic has starkly shown is, the real heroes aren’t celebrities with their silly singing stunts and self indulgence, not politicians...but people in the medical field, shop/retail workers, builders, teachers (can’t name em all! 😁) and so on. These are the ones that hold things together.
    I hope this nurse doesn’t get too discouraged and wish her all the luck in the world.

    When "this" has calmed down, I hope that all of the medical staff including EMS all over the world receive mental heatlh treatment. They are going to need it. I can't imagine what they are going through. Please people take this seriously. Don't go to the hospital unless it is absolutely dire. I would rather take my chances at home than in the hospital right now. My heart goes out to those who have to go to the hospital for ailments other than COVID 19.

      They deserve a lot more than that. There should be an international healthcare worker day for them. In Ireland (And I believe some other countries) everyone stood outside at 8pm on Thursday night and clapped for a minute for all the healthcare workers. The world should do this for everyone.

      Stop hoarding. This thing is twice as contagious than ebola. The only way to stop the spreading is social disancing, wash hands, confinement. Until we find a viable treatment. They are working on it.
      A 16 year old French girl died 3 days in France. I'm French.
      Remember you are a potential carrier yet having no symptoms but a vector to spreading this thing.

One way to combat the anxiety is to not listen the the news all the time, know enough to keep yourself informed, but don't overload your head with this scary information. I am a respiratory therapist and it’s so frustrating how we get absolutely NO acknowledgement...when we are the ones managing all these COVID patients on ventilators, doing the testing, breathing treatments, etc...we are literally at the frontline of all this but it’s only doctors and nurses who get credit. We are all a team so THANK YOU! 😊

    Omg, I am a nurse myself but I've been unemployed because the adult day care center I worked at closed temporarily due to COVID.... I am home with my little one who is out of school as well.... I just wanted to say that this video really breaks my heart... I mean, you cannot watch this without crying...without feeling some type of way... It makes me feel like I wish I could split myself into a million pieces to be everywhere all at once, helping everybody! Nurses are taught to work as a strong unit, a team and this seeing this woman's pain is just too much to bear... I hope & pray many will listen, will go the extra mile & distance to do what is right and what they can to get through this together.

    I'm so sorry! While we're sheltering in place in the comfort of our homes and still finding things to complain about, there are people out there in the front-line risking their lives and working to the point of exhaustion.

Or vice versa the other family who still let their kids visiting other people home cuz they are bored. I'm soooo angry of this ignorance.

    Imagine all those truck drivers driving for 16 hours a day with no access to washrooms trying to get supply’s to stores and hospitals with no PPE or hand sanitizer and then you cutting them off with less than 6 hours of sleep

Their hardass and ignorant mentality's are gonna swarm the hospital with more patients and potential deaths, which makes work harder for doctors and nurses who's fighting the virus on their daily lives.

    They haven't really trained us to turn off our emotions, I feel your pain. The only way you'll emotionally survive this is to try and not think. Just look after the patients to the best of your knowledge and abilities, more than that you cannot do. This is way beyond our supplies, it's way beyond the number of staff. You can do it though...you're strong and through your strength you will save lives.

      Emotion or not but one thing you gotta do to survive is "don't be stressed". I understand it is easier said than done but stress invokes "cortisol" hormone. And Cortison is one of the biggest culprits that reduces your immunity. WE DON'T WANT TO REDUCE OUR IMMUNITY AT ALL in this crisis, right !? Hence be happy adorable girl, always ! Try to find humor in everything or whatever works best for you!

      Expect the hoarding of 2 weeks ago will come to fruition in a few days. A silent tsunami is about to strike NY and florida soon. People dropping like flies. Italy just reached 10000 mark today. Pretty scary.
      Stay confined. It will lessen the chance to propagate it. We may be carrier not necessarily being sick yet ye may carry it onto someone else.

      Other "not usual" symptoms specially in the first stages (talking from experience here) :
      anosmia (loss of smell or smelling things weird for example your perfume doesnt smell the same) ageusia (loss of taste when your food doesnt taste rigth ) and diarrhea.

      There is no definitive symptoms, one South African showed no signs of fevers or soar throat for 8 days ,until blood test was done.. the incubation period is dependent on per parson .. just stay safe

    My brother is a doctor , and his hospital has been shifted into a corona isolation centre ! I just wish and pray he doesn’t get it , and I hope our family stays safe along with everyone else’s family .... please stay home people and try to take precautions .... one person getting infected affects many lives , AND I PRAY WE GET SOME MEDICINE OR VACCINATION SOON , we should pray to God , this feels like a punishment for all humanity

    I saw 21 COVID19 patients last night in my shift as a Rapid Response Nurse. That’s not including the other patients. It’s crazy they can be walking around the room, playing on their cell phones looking stable but with a fever one minute on room air with a sat 95%. Two hours later you check on them and they are in acute respiratory failure with oxygen saturation’s in the low 80’s on 100% non rebreather needing to be intubated. I get why they are just found dead at home before their families ever know they’re sick. Keep playing people and a large portion of this country is going to die.

    I'm dead after a 12-hour shift (logest I've ever worked) and my job isn't remotely stressful or important. I can't even imagine what it's like to deal with life and death stuff for hours and hours, all the while exposed, and without the resources you need. It's amazing to me they don't all quit en masse.

      He made a statement and I quote "need 30,000 or 40,000 ventilators". He was going to give 400 ventilators to mayor Cuomo which is essentially a slap in the face. Apparently he hasn't gone back to ny in a while because the fact of the matter is it is really scary here. People are hoarding even more because of his delusional message of loosening restrictions and we need to get back to work.

      What a wonderful thing to do. I work in a big hospital in Oslo as a midwife. So luckily I have only had a few infected sick women. But how happy I would be to hear such an orchestra every evening. Knowing it's for us the staff 💓

    Imagine everywhere you look people are very sick, dying and you are their main caretaker looking into their eyes and doing your best, spread so thin you are having to organize patients to the point of giving your time to the ones that you can save. At the same time of people exhausted in every way possible. These patients have no one with them on their death beds and you are it. That would take a toll as it is. I salute the bravery of these people putting their patients lives above their own and their family.

    I know not all people are the same. Some people can handle their emotions and can work under pressure while some can’t work under pressure and basically panic and later have anxieties. I pray for your both physical and mental health lady nurse in the beginning..grant this experience will make you stronger. I have a friend nurse, stayed straight 24 hours in the ICU..she’s young around 24 years old..she is handling 4 patients by herself. According to her by staying positive you not only raise the moral or spirits of your patients but also the people around you. Be strong, this too shall pass.
