You can’t rate the h3 sword on the same tier as the h2 sword. H2 sword had: infinite ammo in multiplayer, much further lunge, sword-fly ability AND you could backpack it as it had no delay when you drew it. H3 sword is frequently overlooked and for good reason. It was good for the first few years of h3 but now everyone knows how to counter it.

Halo 3 was all about that bulltrue medal. Maulers, shotguns, snipers, needlers could all wreck a sword guy charging at you. Plasma grenades can trade 1 for 1 pretty consistently too.

You have to remember though that the ODST weapons had their stats changed for multiplayer. The Silenced Pistol in MP fires slower but has the literal power of a CE magnum. That thing is S-tier in MP.. The Brute Plasma Rifle can also be duel-wielded in Halo 3 MP and combined with the high fire rate it gets, definately puts it higher than the rating you gave it.
I wouldn't call the ODST pistol an S. It's good, but it can't be found on any traditional maps and is only in certain game modes, so pretty much the only possible mode you get it in is fiesta or that one silent mode. In which case it's always an underwhelming weapon to spawn with. Plus it's just objectively worse than the BR, but serves the same role. Great for ODST campaign and firefight, but in MP it just doesn't have the speed and ammo capacity to qualify for an S. At least, in my opinion.

The AR in Halo 3 is actually a really effective tool in campaign. It tears through brute armor even at medium range. A couple short bursts, then you finish him off with a BR headshot. Works great in my legendary runs! Try out the combo on Sierra 117 or Crow's Nest
If your doing a legendary run use pp and br

It doesn’t tear through brute armor tho. Every other weapon does better against brutes.

I remember the halo sentinel beam shredding through brutes in campaign
Absolutely *love* the ODST pistol. Landing headshots with it on grunts, jackals, and brutes once you've broken through their power armor (a good spray from the SMG followed by a lovetap with the butt of your pistol usually does the trick) is so satisfying. Its tight spread also makes it reliable to hit those shots even at long ranges.
The underwhelming damage isn't just for the pistol however, all of the UNSC weapons in Halo 3: ODST do 50% damage compared to their Halo 3 counterparts. So as you can imagine weapons like the Assault Rifle and Shotgun are quite pitiful in their overall performance. They forgot to half the damage on Covenant weapons though, which means picking up the odd Carbine halfway through a mission makes it a cakewalk, even on Legendary. Not their best decision but it definitely helped the suppressed SMG and Pistol shine a little bit more.
Halo infinites sidekick beats out every pistol in halo except CE's magnum.

The base version, extended mag, tactical, CE magnum (which is better then the OG ce magnum), and the whispered truth (burst fire silences magnum)
Tbh I loved the spiker, I was pretty good with it but that’s probably just an individual preference. I did also love the mauler though, I was always good with close quarters weapons

The only time i ever use the Plasma Cannon in H3 is on the Ark for the first pair of hunters. It’s the only time it’s useful
I really think that the Magnum isn't as awful as a lot of people claim it to be. It just lacks a scope for range and is very heavily overshadowed by the Battle Rifle and the Carbine; it has a similar TTK to both, and on its own it's not the worst. On a side note, the Sentinel Beam is a very easy low B-tier, high C-tier in my opinon, at the very least. It shreds in multiplayer and some parts of Campaign, but the absurd energy consumption holds it back greatly.
Agreed. Only thing that holds the magnum back is net code, otherwise its really damn good if you can lead your shots

Pretty sure that besides color the H3 Brute Plasma rifle is almost exactly the same as the H3 normal plasma rifle….
Covenant Pistol and Battle Rifle are easely SSS tier in Halo 3. The charged shot of the Pistol added to how easy it is to find the weapon makes it absolutely broken you can steal any vehicle or remove any energy armor instantly before switching weapons with a BR for an easy two shot on any enemy in legendary difficulty!

The H3 Carbine should be on S along side with the BR they are very evenly matched I watched a video for comparing the 2.

1. Massive disrespect to the Sentinel Beam. That thing absolutely melts people in multiplayer (Although you can rarely use it, only ever appearing in action sack game modes)
2. Both Turret weapons are very useful in campaign due to campaign generally making every gun worth using. The turrets are pretty much great to use for every enemies.

I hope people remember, The CE magnum is the campaign version that was mistakenly ported over to multiplayer by gearbox back in the day. Its a great gun, but it makes many other weapons in CE multiplayer downright useless.
I know this will never get fixed, but a man can only hope.

Maybe your most baffling decision is putting the Halo 3 carbine over the Halo 2 version…….. The Halo 2 version is better in every possible way

Halo 2 sword is way better than halo 3s sword. It's range is insane.
H2 sword had long range but needed follow up hits as well. I always dug the h3 sword far more. The plasma pistol though is up to preference I guess. I never catch the enemy using it on matchmaking and it's only useful int combos with a br or carbine. Pretty trash on its own

Grav Hammer is an A??? We play Halo very differently, I find it almost useless on Legendary, and situational on maps in Multiplayer. It should be a B at best :-D
Also, plasma pistol is easily A for Campaign alone, especially on Legendary… agree it’s meh on Multiplayer

I'm told the Halo 2 and 3 shotguns are poor, and general consensus is that they are, I don't know why I have such luck with them and like them so much.
Halo 3 shotgun. Worse range and fire rate than both the previous shotgun. Gets put on the same tier. Are you fucking high? How the hell do you put the the CE shotgun and halo 3 shotgun on the same tier?

Halo 3 shotgun has all the same stats as the Halo 2 one, except it has longer range. It’s quite literally a complete upgrade, what’re you on about? Lol
@@lilbucky19 Ok maybe I exagerated on that regard. The halo 2 shotgun is probably the worst of the halo shotguns. It just seems to do no damage unless it touches skin.
