    This is the first place I’ve actually been able to find descriptions of the weapon variants. The UNSC ones have them thanks to the FOB menu but the ones taken from targets in game can be really annoying to try and figure out what makes them different. Not sure why 343 didn’t put even a couple of bullet points with each one just to let people know what makes them different but it seems like an oversight.

      I mean... how is it hard to tell? Each of the banished weapons is extremely easy to tell. It also tells you exactly what it does...

    The Sun beam was my “aight I just wanna end this quickly” gun.
    The only drawback was the low ammo, but that thing melts on any difficulty.

    You should've mentioned that when using the Duelist Energy Sword, your slide distance is increased dramatically, makes it super fun to use

    I slept on the normal sentinel beam until late in the campaign. Only when I realized it was pretty good did I notice the arcane version was phenomenal.

      yeah the normal one was really useful in the later missions. Ammo was abundant and actually just felt a little better than any of the human precision weapons against the sentinels.

      I just drive around with a van full of those guys carrying sentinel beams for the beacon missions lol they melted the tanks

    On a second note, I REALLY wished the Plasma Pistol variant was like the one in H5 that creates a BLACK HOLE when charged. That stuff was awesome.

    I wish they went the opposite route with the commando. Made the rate of fire slower or made it single fire and increase the mag size with maybe a slight boost to damage output. Easy A tier.

      @@Ghost1170 It’s weaker but it has more of a zoom, the beam is instantaneous, and it does slightly more damage per bullet. So it’s good for long range sniping, not short/medium

      I can't imagine they're very good at range though. I have the Arcane Sentinel Beam unlocked in my Legendary playthrough but I pretty much exclusively give them Volatile Skewers

      they're extremely good with the Skewer variant too, since they are able to arc the shot like a mortar (which is something the player can't really do)

    As soon as I realized how OP the arcane sentinel beam is, that's the only thing I give to the Marines when loading them into the razor now. It's just an instant delete button on every enemy 😂

      You see after like 80 hours of multiplayer i dont get the hype behind it, I try so hard to lile it but I'd rather take almost any other gun

    The worst part of the variants in the campaign is the ammo exclusivity. I can understand why maybe the variant pistol might use different bullets than the standard pistol but... The needler variant? Does the duelist sword use different size batteries than the standard energy sword?
    I dunno, pisses me off. I figure it's fine for MP balance but makes very little sense for campaign

      In fact this makes some variants totally unplayable especially when playing Legendary. The BR variant is cool but the low ammo is a deal breaker. Same with other weapons.

      @@lorebirb idk, I held my variant BR all through the end phase of the campaign on legendary. There were one or two spots where I ran out of ammo for it for a little while, but it wasn't that bad.

      The BR and Sidekick are the only viable variants because of the kinetic ammo stations. I hate how stingy the game is for the rest of the weapons, i wish they change it because I have so much fun and then all of a sudden it's it's out.

    Bit late to the party but something I feel the need to mention is with the Scatterbound Heatwave the "Pellets" actually have a much greater magnetism towards enemy players, meaning you can miss your shots but still hit them, place the weapon in atleast S imo

    Some minor additions for the record:
    The S7 flexfire also has **slightly** reduced accuracy.
    The calcine disruptor (in my testing) will actually disable all vehicles in one shot, it just takes a couple seconds of letting the tazer err... taze lol.
    The rapidfire pulse carbine also has increased projectile speed and tracking.
    The duelist energy sword increases lunge range and jump height substantially. It also increases swing speed which means you'll always win *duels* with normal swords
    The unbound plasma pistol has substantially increased charged projectile speed and tracking, and the regular shots seem to do much more damage. But it quickly loses these perks at range.
    The rushdown gravity hammer increases jump height and damage substantially (I don't know if its intended, but it does a LOT more damage in my campaign testing. Also seems to have increased knockback? Like it'll send a warthog through slipspace).
    The pinpoint needler also has substantially increased fire rate and projectile speed.
    The diminisher of hope (in my testing) had a much greater area and much less fall-off than a normal hammer, however it did the same damage for me vs vehicles and bosses.

      The scatterbound heatwave's pellets also are homing once they have rebounded off of a surface

    I just started the point of no return Command Spire on legendary, with the arcane beam in my back pocket for the bosses, mostly relying on the Striker. I nearly brought the Breacher, but changed my mind. The Striker melts in campaign, believe me.

      funny I never actually used the striker. And I found the normal BR to be a better option since you still 1 shot unshielded enemies and you can carry like twice the ammo that the breacher can.

      @@joshyaash yeah, I was reading comments about the Striker so gave it a go. Most of the open world stuff on legendary was done with the Breacher, and I was even making notes of the locations of kinetic ammo caches I hadnt used up. The linear levels, though, provide so much kinetic ammo it doesnt really matter. The Striker just seems better than the Breacher to me

    I wanna add something about the longshot ar, from some testing I did in campaign. It can get headshots, which was kinda surprising cuz it was already good.

    Bruh, you forgot to mention or didn't know that the better energy sword (forgot the name) has double the lunge range of a normal sword and the rush down gravity hammer has the same aoe as the Diminisher of Hope. Also the Pursuit Hydra can lock on from way more lock on range. Also the better heat wave shotgun has stupidly insane tracking on projectiles once they bounce, so you shoot the floor at an opponents feet and all projectiles will hit them nearly 100% of the time and it two hits, so definitely in the S tier. Also the better needle can lock onto and attack two targets at once.

      I love the scatterbound heatwave. In campaign it's a lot of fun to just delete parts of vehicles, or other scenery/cover items.
      The calcine disruptor is one of my go to weapons in campaign, but man I wish it had more ammo. It takes down elite brutes so fast.

    I think if I got to choose a loadout for Fiesta I'd go with the Arcane and probably the Flexfire

    haha I tested some weapons with the marines myself and I was pretty sure the Arcane Beam was going to the top tier. It is legit broken on the campaign and even more so with the AI, they never run out of ammo and they actually have pretty good aim and they fire it all the time. Makes some encounters super easy.

    Pretty good list, personally I would only change a few weapons rank because of how I play and use them.
    It would've been a better video if you told people where they can find each of the Variants in the Campaign but over-all.....Nice One !!

    The Duelist energy sword and the Rushdown hammer both make you run and jump significantly faster/higher.
    Also the Calcine Disruptor gets an SSS tier rating from me simply because it causes grunt backpacks to violently explode about 95% of the time, launching them about 40 feet into the air.

    I love the Volitiale Skewer in Campaign. It was my go to weapon for hunting HTVs, especially because I played the campaign immediately on legendary. What especially was good for me was I got the weapon very early on, and didn't even mean to. I am so glad I did though. If you're on legendary and intend on completion, get the Skewer Asap

    Tracker is S in your hands, SSS with marines. You can just sit back and watch 5 rockets home in on any enemy you’re fighting. I used a razorback full of tracker marines and wiped out like 5 mini bosses before one marine died on Heroic.

    The Diminisher of Hope also seems to have a slightly longer but more powerful bash animation for when you don’t want to use energy.
    Also the only opponent I have seen survive a swing is The Harbinger but it staggers her, not sure if thats a mechanic exclusive to her. But she was one of the easiest boss fights in the game when I just went to an inlet and let her box herself in near me.

    this is my oversimplified descriptions for the weapon varients (if you want more just ask)
    arcane sentinel beam: the power of the sun in the palm of my hand
    flexfire sniper: budget DMR
    calcine disruptor: hipity hoppity your life go stopity
    longshot AR: I only used one bullet and my gun FLEW out of my hand then back in, I held the trigger and didn't move at all

    The Breacher variant solves the issue i have with the BR, and thats its fire rate. it just feels unaturally clunky that i just cant get a proper handle on it. The Commando in single fire feels better then the default BR

It stuns most enemies on almost every other shot - which you can basically spam - and the charged shotgun is visually cool and helpful with enemy shields, if a bit underwhelming in damage for being a plasma shotgun. But it wreaks havoc as a close quarters weapon.

    It would be nice if the plasma pistol variant stopped vehicles but the cooling takes longer it also would be cool if on the mini boss descriptions it talked about what the weapons did and cortana could tell you

    This video is super old but i wish i could show you some things, the heatwave for example should be way higher. Just shoot on horizontal on the ground in front of someone and it will two tap everyone with no aim required, across the map aswell. Also some other weapons i dont think you were using correctly or well (commando, flexfire, disruptor, etc) that I could have helped you understand. good video though

    I found the breacher br super early on ky first legendary play through. Kept it the whole game literally, who doesnt want jackals down in 1 hand burst and legendary elites to feel like a halo reach heroic. Also the volatile skewer is comically strong. Nothin like skewer ammo at every fob early in tye game

    Not sure if this is because of balance changes or what but I find the Purging Shock rifle to arc between more enemies and almost always stun them (even if the dude I shot was 2 enemies away).

    I’m sorry but what game mode is this? I played Halo Infinite for a couple of hours some days ago, but I can’t seem to remember several of these weapons performing as shown in the video… Also it seems as you can choose your own kit almost in this game mode, and what’s overshield?

    Dude the RapidFire Carbine is insane in campaign. If you give a whole squad of marines this gun and put them on a razor back they will melt all enemies in your path

    Duelist energy sword and rush down hammer also increase jump height. The duelist energy sword is faster, but less high than the hammer, and vice versa for the hammer

    You forgot one small detail about the pinpoint needler, it can lock on to multiple targets and each needles fired will track down the locked on enemies in a cycled fashion, it's stupid cool

    How did you manage to create a custom game with the weapon varients? And even moreso, I can't figure out how to have random weapon spawns in a custom game either

      Open a custom game match on fiesta, then edit the gametype to include weapon pads and power weapon pads. The weapon variants will randomly spawn on these pads. This doesn't seem to work on any other mode aside from fiesta.

    A few things that are wrong or not mentioned
    The regular hydra does more damage when not locking on making it have a 2 shot kill potential instead of 4 the variant averages these numbers making it 3 for both
    The pinpoint needles can lock onto multiple targets and can kill in 8 shot due to the convergence (when they explode)
    The gravity hammer variant always does insta-kill despite having the same damage radius

    Some don't realise how good that heatwave varient is, if you're aiming at people directly with it then you're using it wrong if you aim at the ground near anyone the rebound shot will always reflect towards the enemy even does a bit more dmg too

    I don't think you know this because you didn't mention it, but the Scatterbound Heatwave can even track your target if you purposely ricochet it off the ground near your target, which is completely undodgable because of how fast the projectiles fly as you already said. This makes the weapon an easily guaranteed 2 shot kill which should put it in SS Tier at least.

    Scatterbound heatwave is an absolute unit against sheilded jackals. Literally disintegrates their sheild and them in one shot.
    Great otherwise too but that's my favorite use for it

    Biggest problem with the Impact commando is that it has Bloom on first shot
    meaning that even if you single fire it there's no guarantee it will actually hit where you are aiming .
    Of they removed the bloom on the first shot(which is extremely stupid) It would actually be a very good upgrade vs the normal commando (Since you could pace your shots to eliminate bloom and turn it into a high capacity CQB DMR with the ability to go full auto)
    Actually just give me the normal commando but with a higher capacity mag and it would be golden

    You forgot to mention the ridiculous increase in ballistic drop that the modified Skewer has.
    I've actually lined up shots on 4v4 maps and hit the ground feet infront of my target because of it.

      Meta is slang for a well known competitive strategy. The variants are unlocked in campaign through killing the high value targets, and for multiplayer are only available in custom games

    5 marines in a Razorback with the volatile skewer can one shot chieftains and easily take down phantoms, hunters, and pretty much anything that crosses their path. Also since it’s a sniper they’ll sometimes target enemies extremely far away and turn into a mobile mortar. They are also extremely accurate if you slow down to let them fire and even if you don’t they will still hit most targets or at least blow up kill weaker ones with the explosion. Honestly for their utility, range, sheer damage, and ludicrous rate of fire, I think the volatile skewer outperforms the arcane sentinel beam when it comes to arming a squad of marines backing you up.
