THE RADCLIFFE AWARD WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY BASED ON WAVELL'S DEMARCATION PLAN OF 7 FEBRUARY 1947

Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed demonstrates that the Radcliffe Award made public on 17 August 1947 was based, with slight deviations based on Viceroy Lord Wavell's 7 February 1946 Demarcation Plan.
The reason was that the Punjab and Bengal Boundary Commisions could not agree on how to partition Punjab and Bengal. In the event, Radcliffe relied essentially on Wavell's plan based on the Muslim and non-Muslim districts of the provinces being divided. Other factors was taken into consideration in some cases. There is no basis for asserting that Radcliffe was influenced by Mountbatten or Nehru in giving the Award which was final and could not be questioned.

I would have listened to your vlogs, speeches and statements any way due to my interest in the subject but there is an added attraction that brings me to follow you, that being the Mazdoor Kisan Party of 70's to which I believe you briefly were connected. I did send an invitation to you via the fb but there's been no response but never mind I am happy to know that such a bright mind has been a part of the MKP. Thank you once again for addressing the sound; I enjoyed the knowledge that you imparted. Kind Regards

Partition was a tragedy for all Indians - Hindhus, Sikhs and Muslims. But it may be difficult, if not impossible, to put the history's clock to work backwards, anti-clockwise. But then miracles do happen in history also.

All Indians should request PM Modi to confer Bharat Ratna to MA Jinnah. I personally consider him as the World's Greatest Indian. By partitioning India and creating Pakistan, he has done the greatest favour to Hindus. Today our Bharat Mata is a rising superpower and one of the worlds greatest economies. Thanks to Mr Jinnah for saving India from the hands of Jehadis. One may find my words harsh....but.... just imagine United India, you will definately agree with me.

@@Kanishka-d6w you are absolutely right. And even the land was sold on a cheap price to Shah Jehan. There is also a story circulated which was not true that their fingers were cut so that no one can have the same craftsmanship. But you agree with me that Indian tourism is much rewarded by this monument and it has continuously paid dividends. Last year, I had been to Andalusia and Grenada in Spain and the Muslim monuments adds 6 billions dollars every year to Spain’s economy. The idiotic rulers of Pakistan can earn much money by restoration of Hindu and Sikh monuments which can revive most part of their economy with religious tourism from India and abroad.

*1947 Partition should have included complete exchange of Muslim population of New India to Pakistan and Hindus-Sikhs-Jains-Buddhists-Parsees in newly created Pakistan to India. The area given to Pakistan was proportionally more for their population compared to India in which almost 90% Muslim residents in new India CHOSE to stay in India while 95% of Hindus-Sikhs-Jains-Buddhists living in the Pakistan area were FORCED to run to mainland India to save their lives*

In 1857, East India Company proprietor British Army captured and eliminate three big regions, which were known as Mughal Empire, Maratha Empire and Khalsa Empire.By Annexing and then eliminating the geographical boundaries of these three big empires. Then they give new name, identification, flag, army, law, constitution etc etc to occupied region Known as British India. After 80 years, when Voice of Pakistan heard in 1940,Hindu and Sikh also stood for their political rights.
Muslim League WAS demanding independent Pakistan with Muslim majority areas at the precedent of Mughal Muslim empire.Where as Sikhs were Demanding Sikh State on the Precedent of Khalsa Empire. But Hindus under the leadership of Nehru, Ghandhi and Patel etc were does not demanding Maratha Empire share from British Empire. They were demanding Akhund Bharat from Peshawar to Ras Kumari (Indonesia) on basis of Hindu majority. From this point great differences started BETWEEN Three Communities.
Sikhs were living in United Punjab from Mian wali (Pakistan-Punjab) to Shimla (Indian-Punjab) ,but unfortunately, they were not in MAJORITY in any district of United Punjab. It was a super great loss for them. But technically, politically, geographically and historically their vote was considered as veto for shaping new geographical boundaries of Subcontinent.Sikh vote was a turning point in the history of subcontinent if we deeply study the things with open mind.
Both Muslim League AND Congress were super hungry for the Sikh Vote.If Sikh join Muslim League Camp then Pakistan geographical reaches to Delhi near meewat. Meewat was a Muslim majority region in 1947 with 90 percent population they only support Muslim League and Pakistan Scheme. Congress was a super clever party, they read the mind of Muslim league and Jinnah. Then they start making THE minds of Sikh LEADERS like Master Tara Singh and Baldev Singh etc.
When British call all stake holders of British India Empire for presentation of their rights. Muslim,Hindu and Sikh came but surprisingly Qadaini (Non Muslim) ousted sect from Muslim Ummah also came with demand they also need empire from Batala to Rubwah. It was a great conspiracy against Sikhs to call qadiani in partition Jury. On what grounds this ousted sect is coming and creating mischief this answer is still not solved.
British rulers rejected the Sikh and Qadiani reasons and justification for the separate state by saying talk to Hindus and Muslims.Sikh were out of race. Which was a clear cruelty with them. Qadiani had no right for separate state.Shortly, till today the agenda of partition is still incomplete, because Sikh were not given share of 1857 Khalsa Empire.

About Kashmir, the people of Kashmir in all justice should decide their ownsituation themselves rather than other. An internationally knowledgeable person has pointed out that the UN resolutions on Kashmir (plebiscite)are 'binding' according to his study. Please reply .Like your kind mannerism and you are soft spoken.Allah bless Pakistan.

I wonder who is this "internationally knowledgeable person" who has come to such a conclusion. The UN resolutions are placed under chapter 6 of the UN Charter which requires the UN only to facilitate the concerned parties to reach a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Also, there was no 3rd option like an independent Kashmir.
