If Luke didn’t reach his full potential, he came dang close. The fact that Sidious refused to reveal himself until Luke was gone probably says a lot about how powerful Luke became. Also, Snoke (Sidious, by extension) tells Kylo Ren in a comic that, if he had Luke instead of Ben at his side, the galaxy would’ve been his a long time ago. The galaxy never came under complete control of the Sith while Vader and Kylo were around, meaning Luke eventually became the most powerful Skywalker.

How about the articles that have come out in the last few months, noting Kathleen Kennedy's mismanagement of SW, Disney losing money on SW, and how KK would be happy if Jon Favreau took her place once she "decides" to retire? Hahaha, sure, KK! How about the Star Wars day official poster, where they had everything from the OT characters, to the Prequels, even the Clone Wars...but what's this? No ST stuff??? Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but I wanted your opinion on this. In Clone Wars, the witch Mother Talzin attempted to absorb the Living Force from Dagoyan Masters and Queen Julia to become more powerful than any Jedi or Sith. If she succeeded, do you think she would have been as powerful as Luke's full potential? Granted there is no evidence to support this so I am just looking for your professional opinion.
Awesome video as always! I would love to think Luke did in fact reach his full potential as he was connected to the Force for 25 years before his Jedi Temple was destroyed (5 or 6 years before The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi), where during that time he was searching for knowledge about the Jedi and the Force, trained to become a Jedi Master like he did in Legends. I really hope Lucasfilm does explore that because there could be a lot of great stories during that period.
@@Protocol36 well that’s good. It’s just a rumor so far, but it’s a believable one. Disney has a lot of shows planned, including a few during the Mando time period like Boba, Ahsoka, Mando, and Rangers of the New Republic. Additionally Favreau and Filoni have teased a cinematic crossover for all the shows, the YT channel Star Wars Theory seems to think it’ll be like Endgame, with Ezra appearing as well, and everyone facing Thrawn. I, of course, have my thoughts on this matter, but they don’t really matter. Anyway, it may be just a rumor, but Disney is known to lie. They edit MCU trailers to hide stuff, and Mark Hamill hid his entire year on set for Mando2. Of course, there are a few challenges to a Luke show, namely Luke being kinda op to the Empire and Mark Hamill being old, but I think those things are solvable. For one, Mark Hamill has already approved of Sebastian Stan (actor for Winter Soldier) being cast as young Luke, saying that he is Sebastian’s “father” as a joke about how similar they look. And it won’t be hard since Sebastian already works for Disney, of course, the time frame may be a bit wack since he also has to focus on Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Also there’s the problem of who would be the main challenge in a Luke show with Luke being so op. Some have suggested a Palpatine clone, which isn’t impossible (Snoke and Palpatine from Rise of Skywalker) are both clones after all, and there is basis, as Luke fights a full power Palpatine Clone in legends and wins, and we know Disney draws inspiration from Legends, such as Kylo Ren basically being Jacen Solo or Darth Caedus. Some people have also posited with the main villain of a Luke show being Abeloth, the Mother. Though I actually don’t support that idea since Abeloth is too powerful and seems like a crossover endgame villain, otherwise it would be like Ironman taking on Thanos by himself. I personally think that Abeloth won’t show up at all, because such a powerful galactic force would be felt for decades to centuries, yet no mention of such a being occurred in the sequels, so either Abeloth doesn’t exist or maybe it becomes a feat by Luke mind wiping the galaxy with the force to make everyone forget about Abeloth, though that’s too much speculation. Personally I think Luke finding students, training them, ultimately meeting Ben Solo, etc is challenge enough, and it isn’t like the empire is entirely gone (ie. Thrawn). But this is all speculation, but I think a Luke show is very possible. The fans want it, actors want it, Favreau and Filoni don’t seem against it, and the recent Pablo Hidalgo scandal has really made fans more powerful in the grand scheme of how Disney will operate.
So does that settle the debates? Full potential Luke is a lot than Palpatine, full potential Anakin is stated to be stronger than Yoda and Sidious, so full potential Anakin has to be stronger than full potential Luke, unless you assume the discrepancy between FP Luke and Palpatine is on the same level as Yoda. Because in legends, I’m still on the hype train where Grandmaster Luke is as strong as FP Anakin could possibly be, even if Anakin hadn’t received any damage from Obiwan, going off the statement where they say Luke inherited the ENTIRE force potential from his father, making him have just as much midiclorians as Anakin should. But the question remains at, how does Canon Luke fit in? So based off this, I’m assuming Canon Grandmaster Luke is stronger than Palpatine and Yoda (not together) but probably still weaker than Full Potential Anakin?
Luke in legends for example is exactly Anakin’s potential in which he beat sidous just a few years after episode 6 before becoming a master And was stated to be more powerful then yoda and sidous

Luke was conflicted on whether or not he should kill Ben, thus distracting him. If you rewatch the fight, Luke is clearly clouded by the dark side of the force, something even Yoda and Palpatine experienced (Yoda was clouded by Palpatine along with the rest of the Jedi, and Palpatine was clouded from seeing Yoda on Dagobah, which is actually the reason Yoda went to hide in Dagobah in the first place). And during that period, when Luke was distracted, Ben pulled the ceiling onto Luke and ran while also burning the temple, which is kind of a feat since Luke survived a building collapsing onto him while being unable to use all of his force connections, and it also suggests that Ben knows he can’t take on Grand Master Luke, which is why he needed to sneak attack him from behind.
