  • This is my in-depth review and comparison of the new DJI Avata, possibly the best cinematic FPV drone out right now? Let's check out my pros and cons, and view side-by-side comparisons versus GoPro 10, ReelSteady vs Gyroflow, and so much more. Big thanks to DJI for sending me this sample unit. This video is not sponsored, and all thoughts are my own.

    Good comparison of the issues between traditional FPV drones and the Avata. I also liked seeing that a young kid could fly it with the motion controller, get them started early in having fun!

      There's no way I'm giving a kid $1,000 worth of equipment they can crash.
      Also, why do we need kids involved in this hobby?
      We have enough adult morons doing stupid things and causing more regulation as it is.

      A little bit in my opinion. It will just be a supplementary clip. Slow pans, gimballed cam, reveals, some 360 photos, are more enticing if you're really buying a real estate.

      nah... the video is not very nice (cannot be propered coloured, white balance issues, ISO issues...) compared to a naked gopro, an insta 360go or an rx0ii. Reelsteady is still the king for stabilization, rocksteady is way behind and looks even more un natural. Not really usable in a pro/semi pro env.

    • @jeffclassics
      @jeffclassics 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@skubyvision can accomplish but headache on post. Also the beauty of fpv is the thrill, one shot take, and punch in an out objects. So for inside the house it would be much easier to use a normal gimbal camera and the output video is clipped only not one continuous. I'm a fpv pilot as well but reality is not all shots in a pro video ad you can use the drone shot.

    I really appreciate the price comparison with a good FPV drone setup on 9:30. I haven't seen that on any other avata review. Many other reviewers complaint about how expensive the avata is, but if you want to build a decent drone, you might have to pay the same if not more. Also, the avata didn't seem that much louder than the other drone

    • @dangerous8333
      @dangerous8333 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't have to build a drone anymore...
      There are plenty of "bind and fly" quads now that cost less than $300 and are really good.

      @@dangerous8333 let's be real and give dji some credit. No other mfg does things as good as dji. Reliable gps, ease of use, user interface, gymbals, battery management, gps (LOL inav), digital fpv systems.
      Sure these have been done on custom drones, but let's see a custom build with as much features as a dji drone that actually functions to this level.

    I've been considering the Avata and the DJI FPV. I really like the FPV for the higher speed in manual mode. From my understanding, it's 60MPH on the Avata, and 87 MPH on the FPV. Is there a huge difference with the 27MPH difference? I think I've also seen aftermarket motors for the Avata. How big of a difference would those make?

    In your price comparison you have LiPo Batteries: $100+. Right now for $97.14 you can get six 1300mAh 4S on Amazon. So if you add the fly more kit $279 (so you have at least three batteries for the Avata) the Avata ends up being more.

    • @brunomfreitas2
      @brunomfreitas2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And also the controller. You can get another system like radiomaster radio with receiver, and its under 300 dolars.. Avata its a great drone, but fpv drones flys so much better!!

      @@brunomfreitas2 Hi! FPV drones or cinewhoops fly better? I have both, Avata and Protek 35 and the experience is almost the same. Once we start to try freestyle on Avata, then we can see that it's not for that type of flying and we should use 5" fpv for that or so. But comparing Avata with Protek 35 with Gopro i can definitely say that they fly almost the same and it's very difficult to say which one is better. For newbies Avata will be for sure great way to start adventure with FPV. It has some issues like SD card placement, no bundle with traditional controller, slightly more noise that for example Protek 35 and few more, but it's still great way to get info FPV world in my opinion. Speaking about LiPo, charging, storing and so on, Avata simplifies all that and gives me more safety with the batteries they provide. In summary i believe this is great way to develop FPV market and bring more people to this hobby. Cheers and greetings from Poland.

      & he add lipo fire back. DJI doesn't come with one?

      "This will make it easier for more people to get into the hobby".
