Trooper's Report: On 8/18/2024, at approximately 3:13pm, I received a call from Arkansas State Police Troop J dispatch that they were informed by Arkansas State Police Troop H dispatch that several people have called in a reckless driver that was driving speeds over 100mph and weaving in and out of traffic on Interstate 40. Troop H dispatch advised Troop J dispatch that they did not have any available Troopers. Troop J dispatch advised that the callers stated it was a silver Lexus with California tags, eastbound on Interstate 40 at the 24 mile marker. Upon approaching the 51 mile marker, I observed a silver Lexus passenger car at a high rate of speed eastbound on Interstate 40. I activated my front opposite direction radar and clocked the vehicle in at 116mph in a 75mph zone. I activated my emergency lights and siren and pursued the reckless driver. In an attempt to catch up to the reckless driver, I reached speeds of 134mph. I observed the reckless driver weaving in and out of traffic and pass vehicles on the right shoulder of Interstate 40. I advised Troop J dispatch to let the Clarksville Police Department know as well as the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. Clarksville Police Officer Chris Haynes assisted in pursuit of the reckless driver at the 58 mile marker eastbound on Interstate 40. Because I was pursuing in an low profile vehicle (LPV), Arkansas State Police Trooper Trey Fales became the primary unit of the pursuit, at the 59 mile marker - he was in a fully marked patrol unit. As Trooper Fales began to merge onto Interstate 40 from the right shoulder, with his emergency lights and siren activated, the reckless driver attempted to pass two vehicles and a tractor trailer in the grassy median. The reckless driver struck the cable barriers in the median, causing damage to his vehicle and the cable barriers. The reckless driver continued eastbound on Interstate 40 at a high rate of speed. I reached speeds of 134mph while pursing the reckless driver. Upon approaching the 64 eastbound exit ramp on Interstate 40, the reckless driver aggressively swerved to the right, quickly merging onto the 64 eastbound exit ramp. The reckless driver then aggressively swerved to the left, merging back onto Interstate 40 and continuing eastbound on Interstate 40 at a high rate of speed. I observed the reckless driver pass a vehicle at a high rate of speed in the grassy median on the north side of the eastbound lanes on Interstate 40. The reckless driver continued to weave in and out of traffic. Upon approaching the 67 eastbound exit ramp, I observed the reckless driver aggressively swerve to the right, toward the 67 exit ramp and then swerve to the left. The reckless driver lost control of his vehicle entered the grassy median. The vehicle then overturned approximately 15 times before impacting the cable barriers in the median and crossing the westbound lanes. The vehicle then came to final rest upside down, on the north side of Interstate 40. I entered the median and exited my patrol unit and ran toward the scene of the crash. I observed the vehicle upside down in a ditch. I attempted to locate the driver by crawling underneath the vehicle but I was unsuccessful. Trooper Fales and Officer Haynes arrived on scene and attempted to locate the driver. I located the driver, later identified as Kendall Jouett, approximately 30 yards east of the upside down vehicle. I attempted to talk with Jouett but he was unresponsive. Jouett also had severe leg injuries he sustained from being ejected from his vehicle. First responders and EMS arrived on scene and called for a helicopter to transport Jouett. AirEvac (149) transported Jouett to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville Arkansas, where he is currently being held and is in stable condition. These officers are outstanding from 2 different agencies they did not treat the person badly they cared more about his life than handcuff. They really cared. To many times you see officers handcuffing instead of rendering immediate aid. And many times you cannot properly give life saving aid with a person hands behind their back. Even though the driver was a reckless fool, the troopers seemed to genuinely concerned for his well being once they discovered him lying s far from the crash.
I admire LEOs who can pursue felonious suspects who threaten their lives one minute and then immediately become caregivers and lifesavers the next minute. On multiple levels, it is the correct and advantageous thing to do, but I marvel how a gaggle of officers, from multiple agencies, immediately change gears and do the right thing. Bravo!

But I passed this excellent hospital every day to and from work. Kudos to all staff at WR; their work is renown and Fayetteville is fortunate to have it.
Well, these emergency vehicles are moving at around 130 or so mph for starters. That’s 190 feet per second, BTW. Now, let’s say that most drivers prefer to look out the FRONT windshield rather than their back window or mirrors most of the time and only check their mirrors every 2-3 seconds…..Well, ~4-600’ ago that police car was behind a tractor trailer, 2 pickups and a Camry. Then a car blew past you at 130ish mph & while you were cussing at it & thinking about calling the police on them ….BOOM!!! The police are right behind you!

@@kraiemmedaziz6956actually he's telling the truth. Lots of people survive a terrific crash because they were intoxicated. Probably so because these individuals are so relaxed and don't tense up.
@@kraiemmedaziz6956Do you ever notice that a drunk is usually the one who survives massive accidents they cause? It's because the body doesn't tense up, thus allowing the connective tissues to give way enough that the bones, muscles and other tissues aren't badly damaged.
"Leaving the scene of an accident"
You know that ASP is badass when they charge you with leaving the scene of an accident...after you've been ejected from the vehicle. Lol
I suspect that the charge actually comes from when he struck the cable barrier while doing an illegal pass earlier, but it's still amusing.
He hit numerous other cars.
Maximum lack of empathy for the rest of the world. Yet you can hear the sincere empathy in the officer’s voice “ hang in there buddy”
THAT'S why we love ASP: they got mad driving skills AND a sense of humor
😅
must be hillarious seeing a dude doing 130 and ASP 250 yards behind the guy flying by. pretty sure most people think "that dude is ffuuuuuuucked...."
Yah but so is the cop!
That was my thought...Cali don't watch ASP enough because that tiny little fake out got nothing on ASP😂
This trooper has nerves of steel. Bravo to him!
That breathe gargle near the end was wild. Sounded gooey.
I'd hate to be EMS at that scene.
@@bobjenkins6098 nah, those are the good calls that we'd prefer over the "i fell down three days ago and bruised my knee so I needed to call you at 2am".

ASP need body cameras
THANK YOU! That’s my comment on every video!
they have them
@@johnstark4723 Then why do they only show dash cam POV’s?
@@margaretmathis4775 Because that's all they want to release. I have seen them on foot.

I love that word Yeet. I've only ever heard Americans use it and it cracks me up every time. It's just so descriptive. I'm a Brit and I'm trying to introduce it into my vocabulary 😊😅
“Currently being held and in stable condition” damn, damn he’s gonna be a burden on the taxpayers now
Why do good people die in simple accidents and this POS survives?
I see they charged him with leaving the scene of an accident - Mmm, tough crowd lol
I'm guessing that if none of the officers actually saw the ejection, the charge is in case the suspect actually walked or ran from his vehicle before collapsing.
He probably side swiped somebody along the way, and of course, didn’t stop. That would be leaving the scene.
@@TeamFish15 Indeed - it was intended to be humorous lol
@@GHOOGLEMALE gotcha😁
Waste of tax dollars.
As are the judges that let these MORONS off to begin with.

Usual suspect out doing felonies
at least with these ones there is no children involved 👍
Men? Men commit way more felonies.
That driver put citizens lives in danger. Hopefully he will be behind bars for decades.
I think he's done for. 😬
These officers are outstanding from 2 different agencies they did not treat the person badly they cared more about his life than handcuff. They really cared. To many times you see officers handcuffing instead of rendering immediate aid. And many times you cannot properly give life saving aid with a person hands behind their back. Seriously gentlemen from a Marine job well done.
He got ejected like an old Vanilla Ice cassette tape out of a 1988 Corsica.
Pew pew
I forgot about those cars
Very good analogy, though it could be the Chambers Bros "Time" on an 8-track from a '64 Econoline.
That's cold, man.
1990 to be exact.
There'll be some dummies blaming the cops when the person was already driving recklessly.
Only you’re wanting to say that for clout. Clearly people called in, and the pursuit wouldn’t have changed how he was driving, from what I heard on the call.
Who knew ASP had a Jedi Knight in their ranks. The force is strong in this one.
No seat belt ticket ? WTF !!!
No, but they did charge him with Leaving the scene of an accident. Charges are listed
@@whistleblower1238that was for the first accident when he struck the cable barrier earlier.
Bad guys don't wear seat belts so they can get out quick and run off.
Probably side swiped somebody along the way, and of course, he didn’t stop. That would be leaving the scene of an accident.
Illegal parking too!
Very polite and respectful other drivers on that freeway! Most are moving over and giving the officer clear road. Awesome!
Even though the driver was a reckless fool, the troopers seemed to genuinely concerned for his well being once they discovered him lying s far from the crash.
That is what is called............Professional.

Glad no innocent civilians were injured. God bless our law enforcement officers stay safe 🙏🇺🇲
The car said ' Enough of this S--- im done...
For people that flee and cause a wreck, they should be responsible for their own medical bills. That means have fun paying for that copter ride.
When will people on this planet learn how to get out of the left lane.
Bravo!
These left lane campers 🙄👎
Yep it honestly should be a felony for reckless driving
Man! that was like a crazy Easter hunt for a busted up body. 🤔😂
And he landed right in front the second cruiser, the camera showed exactly where he was.
This is the exactly "I can't breathe" sounds like.
Darn, he lived.
His Moaning was very annoying. The Cops should have told him to SHUT UP.
That's cold. But made me laugh....
@@zen1647 He could have killed or injured a whole lot of innocent motorists. I have no remorse for Criminals
Thanks to people like this, the ER nurses will always have jobs.
I am of the mind that first responders should not be called for criminals such as these.
They have a duty of care regardless of who it is - cop, innocent civilian, innocent passenger who got caught in the mix, or alleged perpetrator.
At least not hurry , in case they are due a lunch break
Until it’s someone you know
or at least take their sweet ass time getting there.
That gurgling noise near the end sounds like someone finishing a slurpee.
That audio was chilling. Not a ton of sympathy for the driver, but still.
Yep. What makes it all more chilling is that the sounds could have been made by an innocent citizen the suspect hit.
I have no empathy, no sympathy for the driver they knew what they were doing and what could possibly happen.
2/10. Nailed the dismount, didn’t stick the landing.

That was definitely agonal breathing, shocker that dude made it.
Agreed. Not a good sound. But there’s no update on him regaining consciousness or impact on brain function
Listen, Kids:
Stay out of trouble;
Don't run from Police;
Wear your seatbelt.
The medical helicopter used to evac this reckless driver ALONE cost between $80,000 and $180,000 depending on its distances and circumstances...
Life flight rides are VERY expensive, I would never want to find myself in one.
RECKLESS LEXUS -
I was out driving one day
When I saw a reckless Lexus
It wasn't reckless of itself
It was the driver there from Texas
It's plate was from California
It was made in Japan
I saw it in Arkansas
Was this a master plan?
Cars come from all over
But this one it was flying!
Flipped the lights and sirens on
Charges he was buying
Took awhile in pursuit
He flew off the road
Ended in a hospital bed
Like his speed foretold.
I’d like YT to explain to me why they would delete this:
“Thank God he was thrown clear of the wreckage.
😂😂😂”
YT is just rude
When I served Jury Duty, there was a guy was on his 9th DWI. He was claiming that he shouldn’t go to prison because he had a family. The irony struck me. He drove drunk not caring if he took someone away from their family, or took out an entire family. He only care about what was going to happen to him.
Make sure he stays in Arkansas for a few years. Sorry, fellow taxpayers ,you caught him, you keep him.
Should have been in jail in Cali. With that rap sheet.
Another note after reading the excellent report. I didn't work at the Washington Regional hospital, but at the smaller hospital connected to a long term care facility. But I passed this excellent hospital every day to and from work. Kudos to all staff at WR; their work is renown and Fayetteville is fortunate to have it.
So goes the saying, "If you drive like hell, you'll get there quicker".
He said "I can pit myself, I don't need you"
😂
Self pitted
That's definitely gunna leave a bruise!
the guy is all smashed up bloody, snorting for air and moaning, and the officer tells him "you're alright". LOL
Homeboy P.I.T himself 😂
Driver endangers everyone’s lives but gets considerate aid.
Reckless Lexus...sounds like a title for a country song.
I get so mad at those Arkansas drivers who live in the passing lane and then refuse to move over for the police. What is the matter with them?
They are a little slow down there
Wtf is wrong with all the drivers who aren't pulling over to the shoulder for emergency vehicles???????
Well, these emergency vehicles are moving at around 130 or so mph for starters. That’s 190 feet per second, BTW. Now, let’s say that most drivers prefer to look out the FRONT windshield rather than their back window or mirrors most of the time and only check their mirrors every 2-3 seconds…..Well, ~4-600’ ago that police car was behind a tractor trailer, 2 pickups and a Camry. Then a car blew past you at 130ish mph & while you were cussing at it & thinking about calling the police on them ….BOOM!!! The police are right behind you!
@@jeffs2809if you are driving with tunnel vision then you shouldn't be driving, period.
If it's problematic for you to glance your eyes at your mirror every few seconds, and if your peripheral vision doesn't work, you shouldn't be driving. Period.
If you can't see flashing lights way in the distance. You shouldn't be driving. Period.
If you can't move out of the way in time it should be felony reckless driving.
@@argonaut_jay I just covered that “glancing in the mirror every 2-3 seconds” part. At ~130mph, it takes only 3 seconds to cover 570 feet. Making innocent bystanders felons for getting caught up in a pursuit is just plain stupid.
@@jeffs2809 so you admit you shouldn't be driving. At least you're honest.
@@argonaut_jay you obviously have reading comprehension issues

Instead of "Can you hear me?", they should ask "Was it worth it?".
They should also charge him with leaving the scene of a crime.
He should have been charged with attempted escape and resisting without violence
I don't see how it could have ended any better. All the officers were OK and all their cars were fine. The felon received some severe injuries to remind him not to run from police and not to use drugs. All in all, he made a nice video for all of us.
7:09 I couldn't help but laugh while the cops were wondering where he went. Not blaming them, that was a long way to be ejected.

The 30 yards he was ejected is longer than any pass play from The Pittsburgh Steelers QBs this preseason!!
