Ron, you're100 % correct. I love my crew cab, and my 5ft bed. And yes, i find it easier to trailer my 12ft Vessel. I can rinse everything, keep all my hull accessories stored, and back it into my garge. I have plenty of launch spots. Without using a ramp. Thanks for sharing. 💯 😎🛶
Hey Ron good video, I love the new truck! Your overhead drone video of Walter Boardman and Old Dixie makes me miss Ormond Beach and the Halifax Plantation scene. Take care.
Hey thanks!! I have exact same kayak. Color and everything. I’m going to copy you. Found the same trailer. Are the leak-packs clamped? I might remove a leaf to soften the bounce. Hobie frowns on bunks; any issues w hull cracks? Thanks.
Nice setup. I like the retractable ratchet straps. We converted a Jon boat trailer for out Hobie PA17T. We're pretty much limited to boat launches due to the weight of the kayak (250 lbs before people and gear), so the trailer was a necessity. I'm guessing you setup is good for saltwater as well since it's aluminum and stainless steel.
it is strapped down to the tubes that spring up and down on the aluminum strips but the kayak itself doesn't "bounce". It's like it's sitting on shock absorbers but it's so light that it does move up and down if that makes sense.
@@KayakFishingAddict thanks for responding and that’s very encouraging! I have a Kaku Zulu on the way and I’m heading to Alabama tomorrow to pick up a jet ski trailer for it. The Zulu is 12’ 7”….its going to work!

Well done. I like how you set up the ratchet straps and eyelets.
It's very convenient.

Glad you enjoyed it Tim.
Nice setup!
Thanks!
Great video! Where can I find those retractable straps?? Those are sweet.

No issues on the bunks for me thus far. No hull cracks. There are no leaf springs on this trailer.
Makes it quick to get in and get out. I park it and load out my yak then back it down the ramp.
Nice.

Wow, that kayak is a beast. Yes, with salt we're always fighting rust so aluminum and stainless assist with that.
Hey, does your kayak bounce while on the trailer and you transport? If so how do you fix that issue.

How long is your kayak?
