    So beautiful and simple Cecil.
    Before I ask my question, I wanna suggest that you organize an online course Cecil. The work of our hands should bless us financially.
    Question: Can you kindly tell how much percentage each product measures to enable a person do it in any batch of her choice? Thanks
    Aloe vera Gel % ?
    Grapeseed Oil %
    Niacinamide %
    Thanks again so much.

    Thank you. 🙏 Will have to see if I can find Niacinamide over here in Scandinavia where I am right now. I still have 2 darkish spots on my right cheek that I'm really fighting to at least lighten. Am tired of using makeup to make them invisible. Yes, I'm vain... LOL Hey, I'm almost 62 and want to stay 25! 😉
    Much Love and Blessings to you my friend. ❤️

      Dear, it is always a pleasure to read from you. I hope you are well and safe.
      Hopefully you can get rid of those 2 dark spots🤗
      I think I have not used ,make up for over three years now, I sometimes feel tempted though🙃 But because my skin is so sensitive, I just flirt with the idea and it stays that way.. It is almost like window shopping 😂
      Sending you love and Blessings from Switzerland!

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Vitamin E is not a preservative, it an anti oxidant. The shelf life of the cream depends on the shelf of your aloe vera gel, the oil you use and the niacinamide. Still adding vitamin E will not harm the product.

    I tried this recipe today but it's comes out very oily on skin I used jojoba oil instead of grapeseed oil I mixed it for 10 minutes but it seperate half oil then I seperate the oil and mix it , it comes like a cream consistency but it's to much oily on skin.... So if someone is going to try please use half amount of the oil it will comes a cream like consistency but it's very very very oily... And not skin observing... If you wanna try then you can but you will spend your money on the ingredients and then it's comes not well then you will be upset... By the way Cecil thanks for your recipe I always learn something with my mistakes so tysm Cecil....

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dear, I am sorry to hear this, you know that grapeseed oil has a different structure to jojoba oil, right?
      Jojoba oil is made up of a series of natural liquid wax esters.
      Unlike other vegetable oils, jojoba does not contain tryglycerides, which makes it structurally different. In fact, it is not really an oil, but a mixture of liquid wax esters with long chains of unsaturated fatty acids.
      Next time you try the recipe, use half the amount of oil and add the percentage of aloe vera gel.

    • @osieg
      @osieg ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooohhh I’m making it right now and it was separating and I was getting nervous. So I mixed again and it didn’t separate. Thank you so much!!! I love learning from you. ❤

    This won’t stay together. It will eventually separate. The pH of niacinamide needs to be at minimum 5.8 but better to end at a pH of 6 unless your using a specific niacinamide meant for lower pH.

      @@avocadotoast0113 Yes aloe vera gel is water soluble but when processed and sold in shops, the gum added to the aloe vera gel (Carbomer, xanthan gum etc) gelling agent and thickener) makes it possible to create a recipe like the one I did. Question, If this is a bleaching cream (dark spot removal) how can you use this for wrinkles and a night cream when this agent is to remove or help fade dark spots? If you use it for fine lines and as a night cream, you will have unnecessary light pigmentation spots on your face. Shouldn't this be applied to "only" dark spots? Can you help me understand your regimen because it's a little confusing.

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Because the cream is too thick. Keeping a pH strip into such a thick cream will may give a false result. The rate of mixing is always 2 g of cream with 8 g distilled water.

      It can be used on all skin types. The cream dies not need any preservative. If all your ingredients have a shelf life of a year, including the oil you decide to use, with this method, you should be able to store your cream for a year

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is purchased aloe vera gel, you can simply mix it with any oil of your choice and you have a cream. You do not need to add a preservative because the store-bought aloe vera gel already contains a preservative. The shelf life of the cream depends on the expiry date of the aloe vera gel you bought and your oil.
      However, if you use fresh aloe vera gel, you will need a preservative and an emulsifier.

    Hello, I tried to make this and the gel and oil kept separating. I watched the video and followed your instructions. I didn't use lily of the valley gel, I use another brand aloe vera gel, was it because of the gel and it may of been too cold? and not room temperature before adding the next ingredient?

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dear, sorry to hear that you did not succeed.
      Firstly, it is important to have your aloe vera gel at room temperature.
      With so many brands of aloe vera gel out there, comes the problem of different textures and different ingredients.
      If you wish to try the recipe again, (which I hope you do 😊) after you measure your aloe vera gel, add the other ingredients bit by bit, mix till you get a smooth consistency, then add again and mix..... Continue this process till you get the desired thickness and consistency. If you do this, you may realise that you will not use the same quantity of oil like me...
      Will be very happy to hear from you again for feedback.
