I have go pro 10 and use the rime-warp function often. Its stabilized and auto leveling. I walk trails so I'm always in motion. It's a nearly perfect device for my needs.
Thank you for the video! The option to turn on and to control multiple cameras with a RC is great indeed. I have an Osmo Action 3 and and while it is okay for my needs, it has no remote controller as of now and there is no information if one would ever come out. Some use the RC from Osmo Action 2, but it is not even close to what you have for GP 11.
@behindthebattery You set the spot meter prior to driving. You can further adjust the selective spot meter via EV. If you install gopro labs firmware, you can also program the spot meter with a QR code.
@@behindthebattery So, for the rest of us who like to film, (not for hours, but for 30 to 45 min ),a beautiful route during a road trip is totally useless!!! I'm sure about this, because I tried to film in Norway and shut down at 20min. Meanwhile I could cook a meal on GoPro 11 during overheating. Most of gopro users in yt complain about many issues faced with this action camera. Overheating is not the only one. It would be wise if gopro stuff make a visit to dji factory and learn how to make action cameras without bugs and durable batteries. On the other hand, dji stuff could be tought by gopro how to avoid out of focus issues. Then we could be able to film with the best action camera ever.!!!
Put the Hero 11 on rabbit mode and activate speech. Then you can tell the GoPro to turn on, off, start recording etc...all of that. You said you lost that feature with the 11 but had it with the 8. You still have it with the the 11.
The biggest problem with the newer go pros is that they are overheating and therefore shut down in the middle of recording. They can really just be used for very short clips. Other brands have solved this and have the same stabilisation and video quality
the camera only overheats if you run it on the most demanding resolutions at the highest frame rates (e.g., 5.3k 60 or 4k 120) for long durations of time. If you're using the camera for clips under 5 mins or even under 10 mins, they are fine. It's obviously not a camera that is suited for long talking head videos. and they have modes that you can use to turn off things like the Hypersmooth so that they are less likely to overheat. The overheating issue is largely blown out of proportion by people who like to "test" cameras and not actually use them like a normal consumer would use them.
@@AdventuringWithNalathat's simply false. They overheat and shut down even with lower resolution and frame rates. To say an action camera is not suited for recording times longer than 5-10 minutes is absolutely out of touch with reality, but I understand the logic here since the battery life is horrible on GoPro cameras. I would LOVE for GoPro engineers to address the overheating, battery, and reliablity problems that have been plaguing the last several models. A GoPro Hero 12 that doesn't overheat and lose footage is one that I would happily buy.
@@JaredDoyle76 it’s actually not false. I’ve done plenty of recording at 5.3k 30fps for over 10 minutes recording clips intermittently during activity and never once had an overheating issue.

@3:38 You need to spot meter. Just press on the rear screen until a box appears.
Thanks, but hard to do while driving and then the interior of the car is dark.

Seeing your triple screens, I hope you have a steering wheel somewhere near your desk for some sim racing!
Or a MIDI controller for an awesome DAW setup 😜
I really do have one, but I never play anymore
Im not far behind. I have 2 Dell u24 monitors.
I own all go pros but not the 11 mini yet or bones for the drones. I back go pro all the time but I don’t get no backing from them.
Thank you so much for sharing. So far only you talked about the car mounting which I am interested in. Which suction cup do i get, please? Thanks. Sul
There are many good one. Don't get cheap stuff. Not worth it. I use delkin gecko
@@behindthebattery Thank you so much
Oh ! Do I see one half of a pair of Yamaha NS10M’s behind your screen !! Dude ! 🙌
Yes, I have them since my recording studio days 22 years ago.
@@behindthebattery I bought a set brand new in 1998 but foolishly sold them 10 years later 😫. That white circle in a studio says “pro” 😎👍
Very useful video, Tq
What about the overheating???
I never had a problem with that. Even in a warm car, with the camera in the sun. But I also do not film for hours.

It needs light to be good
True, but better than previous versions and other action cameras

You cannot turn in on via voice command anymore. Hero 8 can do that.

Never had a problem with overheating on the 8 and the 11
He's living in an icy location, he can't related to that 🤣😂

Its a terrible camera that should not be promoted
You must be a China man.
