Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord 2023 - Finding Murphy's Ghost (and other hacks)

This is my third video about this game, and this time I show off how to get to Murphy's Ghost, and how to review party members while at Camp in the Dungeon, along with the trick of healing up without spending gold, and using a Bishop to identify loot so that it can be sold at Boltac's for a profit.

Don't forget to dilto/morlis him! Once at level 8 and have dalto, you should be using the elevator to level 4 anyway

Literally happened to me first time out. All 28's and 29's, on my way out of the dungeon after my first run I fought 8 monsters. Wiped. 😂

I had to go 22 rounds to beat him with lvl 4s and 5s. The creeping coins were better xp.

Do you mean the "Identify Item 9" bug? No, they decided not to implement that, even though Andrew Greenberg and Robert Woodhead declared it to be a regular feature back in the 80's when it was reported to them. The guys at Digital Eclipse said that the bug was caused by an out-of-range memory error in the Apple II hardware, and that computers nowadays don't have that hardware and the bug doesn't occur in modern PCs--and they're not going to write it in.

As for the Earth Giants, I haven't gotten that far down in the dungeon yet, so I don't know.

Its also diffucult to remove dead party members. Ive been stuck on this screen quite a few minutes. I reported it on steam.

I am crying for promoting my fighters to lord and samurai as all the bonus stats had gone and I starts with basic race stats which sux lol....The game ate away my 29pts of bonus roll ~~

Just found out "the bug" isn't implemented. That's really lame and I guess you just saved me $30.

Yeah, the developers acknowledged that "the bug" was caused by a hardware error in the Apple II chipset and not the game's code, so they decided not to write it into their version of the game.
