Young shooters are likely to frown if there's enthusiasm for the warm commentary of a nostalgic-looking wooden airrifle with open sights. Hopefully as they get older they will understand that you never forget your first love despite maybe a first bumbling kiss.
I ordered this gun today. $297.73 inc tax and $12 shipping I wanted this over swarm magnum because I don't want the magazine fidgety reload $20 for extra magazines. This rifle seems to have the same power, fiber optic sights, recoil rail for the scope, beautiful looking and old school feel along with new school tech. Nice review 👍
I bought one of these today to upgrade from my nearly 15 year old gamo whisper csi camo. Super stoked to sight it in and take it hunting. Should be a pretty good upgrade to what I have been using. Gas ram! Woot
I have the gamo hunter extreme se and I have had a lot of fun over the years putting well over 3000 rounds through it killing a lot of targets shooting threw 3/4 plywood with my .177 but now I've noticed that the inner barrel is broken because I looked into the barrel of my rifle to see a break about 2" in
You know what they should have done with the Gen 3 I Gamo swarm Magnum they should make the cheek rest adjustable and leave the open sides alone and turn the stock into a pistol grip a open pistol grip
This or a gamo gr 22 magnum? Both claim 1300fps i am trying to decide between the 2. The gr22 comes with a scope and sling for 200 or the hunter extreme pro for 230 naked
Rick, You really need to at least read the specs before you get in front of the camera. I wanted to watch the review because I am actually interested in the gun. I ended up watching the whole thing hoping that there would be something new and worthwhile to consider. I was wrong. Don't waste my time. You could have just started out saying that the fpe was approximately 26 fpe and there were open sights but no Swarm mechanism. So basically it is a dressed up Fusion. The Swarm Magnum gen 2 had more. The Swarm Magnum gen 3I was a flop because it lacked the iron sights. A Hunter Extreme Swarm in .22 would be great if it had much higher fpe. Give us a Swarm version which is capable of holding heavier, longer slugs and has a 30 to 40 fpe and recoil reducing rail and a wooden stock with an adjustable wooden cheek comb. Now that would be something worth buying. Don't include the cheaper quality non adjustable objective scopes with duplex reticle and we want etched articles with mil dots. We want something with more power to take bigger game and shoot farther distances. We want the iron sights, so that when we get it out of the box we can shoot and adjust them so that we have a backup for when the scope fails. Give us a better recoil reducing rail that actually works and doesn't destroy our scopes. We want the magazine feed system. Gamo needs to treat us with a little more respect. We are not dummies. Don't dress up an older version of the Fusion in a wooden stock and try to fool us so that you can get rid of old stocks or inventory. Lipstick on a pig won't work. If you want our money, earn it.
Gamo barrels are on point regardless. Unfortunately they have to cut costs anyway possible to keep up with American owned companies that spend all their money on marketing and sell garbage. Dupe a crowd into buying some crap then market their next line of garbage as the next best thing. Gamo makes accurate barrels we just have to know which ones we want. Like you, you’re a rare breed. You know it’sa dressed up fusion so if you want to make a gun to suite what you’re after then you can do it, I’m the same way. If Gamo were to put out some expensive 600+ dollar guns I’m not sure all the snobs would go for it. I have a CFR that’ll shoot right there with the hw97 and tx200 with its lw barrel. Just tuned it up. Power is less but accuracy isn’t.
The original Hunter extreme was made in England with a hammer Forged BSA barrel. That hunter extreme logo ment something special now they slap it on anything and everything 😒

I really like it, minus the suppressor, gas ram and way to powerful. About 18 FPE and no ugly suppressor and I would send Gamo my money 🤑🙂👍.

Overpriced by about $100, junk trigger, Gamo requires a FFL to buy parts for your rifle.
