    I have such respect for Porsche for still building an NA GT3 with a manual. It’s an awesome car. Thank you for doing this video for us!! :)

    Man these things are beautiful. Wait, I just watched your C8 video and realized you look like you're in America. It's a car enthusiasts heaven. Prices aren't too crazy. Gas is cheap enough that most enthusiasts can find a fast car they can afford to fuel up.
    Just watched to realize you are in the States. Hell yeah brother.

    I have a 991.2 GT3 (manual) Nick! I love it. It goes to the track about 12-15 times a year. I also do sunrise drives early Sunday. That's how I use it! You're right I would not want to "daily" the car ... but what a special vehicle. I am highly privileged to possess one for the last 4 years. It's a once in a lifetime purchase that I will probably have for many many more years to come ... maybe even become the hand down to the next generation car.

    I’m in the initial stages of configuring a 911 that I plan on ordering sometime in the near future. I’ve selected Oslo Blue but this shade of blue now has me thinking. It suits the Carrera 4S that I’ve selected quite well, too. Thanks, Nick. Your videos have been quite helpful to me in navigating through the different 911 trims and options.

    Messian Blue is gorgeous on this 3. Congrats to the owner. Glad he went with a leather steering wheel, as too I, and not racetex....looks crap after a bit.
    As for the review, good job. The NA engine is a gem, it makes you smile every drive, the noise if fine. I daily mine with no issues.
    As for the comment on buckets, disagree with your comment. It is a GT car, and IMO buckets are essential. They are not hard at all to get into when you know how (no you didn't do it correctly). If you want comfort, get the 18ways seats, but in a GTS. Lastly, it is a real shame that the US cannot have CS pack.

      @winnieatshunny 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you but I imagine they help the resale value. people buy gt3s for the race car feel, not really to be comfortable. These cars rarely go on the track, but perhaps even less of them get daily driven

      But I have no problem (tbh I don't have it at all these are not my cars) with buckets in GT3RS, but people spec them in GT3 Touring and bascially all 718 GT4/ Spyder...
      And Spyder annoys me most, it is not race car, it is sunday chill car and with no roof you could prolong the period when you can use it with heated seats...

    I have a 991.2 GT3 Touring and find it fine as a street car. However, that may be because I avoided the carbon buckets and built it with 18 way adjustable seats. The buckets were much too uncomfortable to me and difficult to get out of. I don’t track the car but have driven it 1000 miles in one day on a road trip.

    Love the car, of course. I think I would have to be in the mood to drive one since it has a rough suspension over the other 911 models. And, if I had one, it would never see a track.. It would stay in the garage during the week. In the summer of 2022, I purchased a one owner CPO 2018 911 Carrera 4S in Carmine red with only 7700 miles from Porsche of St. Louis. The only other model which I aspire to obtain is a 992.1 turbo S. But, still, the looks of the 992.1 GT2 and GT3's are gorgeous even with the crazy rear spoiler.

  • @TeslaRoadtrips
    @TeslaRoadtrips 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quite an amazing car as it will be the swan song for high rev NA ICE engines imo. I gave up on trying to attain one however. In the fall of 2020 I contacted about 40 dealerships and only about 5 were taking deposits. I ended up with two in my area taking my money, only one seriously. Last december they called me and said the build slot would be mine with a 50k adm if the guy ahead of me didn't call them by monday (he did unfortunately, and ukraine popped off two months later). About 2 months ago the dealer contacted me and said they were giving everyones money back who they couldn't see fulfilling their allocation within a year. In the end, I ended up getting a performance variant tesla, which is obviously a very different kind of car but fulfilling in its own ways and very fast. The buying process being completely on an app and no haggling or ADMs is refreshing. Unfortunately, if you haven't had a history with your porsche dealer there doesn't seem to be a way to get GT products. I think I'm going to be going down the performance EV route in the future as the wheezy, boosted, hybrid ICE future doesn't seem appealing to me.

    Maybe it’s different in the NE but my local dealer still has 40 people on the GT3/ Touring lists and has stopped taking additions. They will likely not be getting anywhere close to 40 more allocations. Probably 12-15 car have already been delivered. And that’s in a somewhat high volume store. Not as much as the bigger names but still.

    Great Vid Nick. Always good information
    BUT
    not sure about the ordering and availability of the gt3 in the U.S, but for sure in europe - a dealer has to offer you one.
    You absolutely cannot just walk into a dealer and place a order.
    In Australia - its almost no chance of even getting an offer unless you are a long term Porsche "client"
    Client meaning - you have spent in excess of $1M au and or have bought your past models from them and then either traded them in for newer models or have had them onsell them.
    As mentioned once before, The U.S porsche set up seems to be very different to how the 911's are made available elsewhere around the world.
    In australia we get extremely limited numbers and wait times are ridiculous.
    ALL 911 future sales and orders are currently closed.
    They are still trying to deliver Jan 2021 orders - with no real timeline.

    As capable in track that the GT3 is, it is like you say, not a road car. I’m more intrigued by the new Carrera T.. Shame the T doesn’t come with the 718 Spyder / Cayman GT4 NA 4.0L engine.. its 414 hp output would put it between Carrera and Carrera S.. and possibly reduce weight in a meaningful way being a lighter engine without the turbos.. just a thought..

    Dear Nick (y), only a girly man finds the GT3 or any other Porsche GT too hard. And by girly, I am not meaning this in the Sabine Schmitz way... LOL! Seriously, "daily" means another thing for every other person anyway. I don't need my car for work as I take my pedelec to commute to the office (7 minutes) . But every weekend and midweek, I. blast to our second home in my 718 Spyder using only backroads. It's glorious. Tonight after work, I passed via a small road crossing a field with orange flowers. That smell made my day even better than it was already! And another thing: you getting in and out of the buckets is plain wrong. Always use one hand on the doorsill to ease your weight in or out.. And finally: mine is Racing Yellow, your favorite! 🙂

    Hi Nick, great video, in your opinion, do you think you can purchase this vehicle straight from the dealer and not pay the exorbitant amount that they’re asking secondhand or have to buy 3 other Porsches? Thanks
