Thank you for all the posts of your sweet duckies.
I lost my babies (Bubble and Squeak) a few months ago. Watching your videos has helped me get through a tough time.
I wanted you to know that you are creating a joyful experience for someone that is almost half a world away.

Your videos make me so happy! I love to see someone who loves animals as much as me and treats them so well! I have 6 chickens and people always find it odd that I care about them as much as you care about your ducks. Keep making lovely videos to cheer people up! :)

I have greenwing teals, cinnamon teals, wood ducks, mandarin ducks, European widgeons, Bicol Teals, and redhead ducks..... I LOVE your set up. We live in a much more rural area, so I have a real job keeping the ducks safe from hawks and coyotes and fisher cats, etc.... We tented their pond with military-grade netting, ran 6 strings of electrified wire around the outside of their fencing, and the nice, new barn is tight and toasty. Your lovely pond and shed have given me some ideas!

Sir, I really want to thank you for sharing these videos. I had a horrible day today but just seeing your videos just cheer me up. It's great to see someone who appreciates animals and love them with all their heart. I wish to be like you someday. Best wishes to you and please continue doing what you do.

Thank you for your kind comments well i bought my first mating pair from a local bird farm that sells chickens parrots budges and also ducks the rest i have either bread myself or i had a very good friend that bred them so the jean pool was well mixed. She has stopped now due to work commitments and i incubate not many these days also due to work. But look in your local paper or if in the UK the "trade it" is a good source for ducks.

Thank you for the very nice comments. As i type i have Max on my lap {on a towel just in case} watching you tube vids hes just sat there very happy to be here. And there is nothing wrong in loving your pets no matter what they are. Those people dont have a bond with anything to do with animals or pets thats why they see it odd looking.I know i get the same here as well. But we know what unconditional love they offer. :~)

Well its simple. Keep them and the run they sleep in clean. Keep there drinking water clean. Keep there food clean and dry.Make sure the sawdust is replaced say every two days or so {or when its starts to smell. And dont be shy to use a bit of disinfectant on the bottom of the run every so often. The bottom line is to keep em clean. That way you can enjoy healthy birds and they will reward you with loads of fun. :)

@boombella Thanks for the nice comments.
The vid is very poor as the other vid cam had to be returned because of a fault on it so i had to use my old vid cam and its not very good quality as you can see.I have a replacment now so back to better quality vids. Also it would of helped if i had set the cam to outdoors so the ducks would not looked so washed out.
Trouble is i keep hearing "All the ducks are awimming in water tra la la la la" heheheh love it
    Steve.

Hi thank you for the nice comments. The cage you see is the duck run that allows the ducks to be safe when im not there and it allows them inside there home when they want to,Its warm and snug in winter or cool in the summer.
I have no dogs just ducks Koi fish a rabbit.A tank full of tropical fish and a budgie.
It takes about 45 mins every day to clean and dissinfect the duck runs the rabbit is my daughters but we clean him. the Koi and tropical fish and the budgie are cleaned and fed by me.

Wow, I'm used to mallards which fully feather in about 6-8 weeks.

  • @baldfatgit1
    @baldfatgit1  11 ปีที่แล้ว

They sure are Koi fish is what they are.The pond is heated so even in the deepest of winter the pond is at a minium temp of 15c {steams like hell} so i feed the fish growth food all year round. The brown Koi died not so long ago due to old age i weighed him and he was just over 24lbs. Thats alot of fish "About 14 bags of chips i recon" :)

A Call duck is a type of small duck that follows in the style of the mallard duck A runner duck stands more upright than a Call duck and a Call duck is a little noisier than other ducks hence why they call them Call ducks, :~)
