I like this trick! It's very clean and direct. You could perform this without the double-backer gaff, using an indifferent card. It wouldn't be quite as clean but could be done with a borrowed deck.

You can actually see the 10 of clubs when he rifles through the deck . But it’s still a great tutorial from 2 amazing magicians .

My favorite sandwich is two slices of bread, some thin sliced smoked ham, cheese, and mayo. Oh, and some dijon mustard.
One piece of diffusion or even a shower curtain in front of the light and you’ll have much better, softer light hitting your face. Just a suggestion. Great video guys. You rock.

I do a variation of this where I perform a sandwich effect without a double backer, reveal how I did it, then say "but if I could really do magic, it would look like this" then do the double backer method

Holy shit, that slight is so convincing....
Ive been trying to perfect the double lift for years... And just cant get it... Any advice besides "practice" because all ive been doing is practice and still just cant get it... And all of ur tutorials have double lifts...

That "whoo"" transition at 1:17 is one of the funnier things I've seen. Not sure if it was made to be intentionally funny. If so...genius.
Then again at 2:20. He was gonna edit in a snap transition but went straight to the trick. Is this intentional? I'm honestly belly laughing.

It’s a great trick performed flawlessly, but it kind of goes against everything Alex preaches, namely, keeping all movements natural. For the switch you have to keep the deck in your hand while revealing the card. That is not a natural action. Holding the deck while using that hand to grab a card is a tip-off that something not normal is happening.
thanks for the comment - I agree with you, however the overall move itself of using your pinky to make the card vanish I think is great. The effect itself was just to outline something you can do with it - whether its a good use of it or not is for each to decide.
fair point. If done standing though, there is somewhat more motivation for keeping the deck in your hand, since you're not sitting at a table

So you can technically do this without the special deck because you never show the other side anyways all you need is one random card but awesome trick none the less
u need this special card because when u show the queens u are showing one back of double back card and when u spread the three cards u show the other back of double back card. Idk if i was clearly but u need the double back card
A lot of decks outside of the standard bicycle ones come with double backs, almost every deck I have has come with one
@@moses9647 yes but you still dont need them to perform the trick is all I'm saying. Its better to make an illusion as real as possible so that way it takes less from the trick.
@@sabxdarktimes2229 to the other person's point though as it's performed here you do reveal both sides of the double backer which adds to the illusion because it's not an explanation that the average person readily thinks of. I'm sure there's a way to do it with a regular card but it might not be as effective
