There is so much detail in this video it is absolutely top notch. I watched it and I got the basics down. Practiced for two days. Then came back and watched it again. This showed me a bunch of ways to improve my technique. A few more days practice, then one more viewing to see if there’s anything I’m still missing in my technique. Then more practice.
I have to say that I appreciate the way you break everything down and explain the does and don'ts of the effects in a simple and understandable way. Let alone sharing your time and skills. I was watching another video to get someone else's perspective of the basic pass. This joker keep switching around between two different ways of doing it, I've watched it several times with the intention to pay attention to sort out the process and I still don't understand what he is saying! You on the other hand explain one version and then go into explaining the others. Simple, precise and to the point. You a re one hell of a teacher and showman! Smooth as glass. Thank you for all that you do.

Nicely Taught as always Alex. For those interested, The Invisible Turnover Pass is a variation of its predeccessor, The Herrman Pass. When used by gamblers we sometimes refer to it as the Herrman Shift.
Alex, thanks so much for showing this alternative to the turn over pass. I've been a fan of the pass for over 20+ years and I've never felt comfortable using the move in any routine due to the fact that it felt too unnatural. This is an perfect alternative to make it fell really smooth. I love the ambitious card routine and I think I will add this move to it. :)
Hi Alex, I saw you around for a while now but only subscribed a few days ago after actually watching a some videos of yours. I have to say, I really like the way you seem to think a lot... basically you're addressing all the reasons why I dislike certain moves as well and show or give ideas how to do things differently, ending up with something much more in a way that I can very well see myself utilizing. Just like you did again in this video - you took a move, got rid of all the unnecessary stuff originally meant to hide things while it actually draws even more attention to the observant spectator's eye. I really like that! Also, you're quite talented in regards of teaching by covering everything in detail without falling into rambling or repeating yourself any more than needful. Thanks a lot for being a great source of knowledge and for sharing your experience! I hope your channel gets the attention it deserves!
I kinda struggle with a pinky break (amature hour here) so I found it really easy and fluid that you show the cards facing straight then you use the top packet to tap on their card while rotating to the good angle and slightly pushing up with my pinky. This "gives them a better view" of their card and helps get that pinky break. Still feels very natural though.
I really don't understand the thumbs down. The sleight is easy, practically undetectable, and all the details in this video will help you achieve it well. Before this video, at thought i did the turnover pass quite well... but the details of execution given by Alex make it so much smoother and better now. In short : never think you do a move perfectly, you can always perfect it. Thanks Alex !
Yeah I agree with your philosophy on the turnover pass. I only ever use it when casually placing the deck to one side. If you do it with the top packet gripped only at the corners between pointer finger and thumb, the other three fingers provide bulletproof shade. It's slow motion camera-proof...and done on the psychological off-beat as well, it's the perfect control.

In my ACR, I use a cull from a face-up spread for the second phase, on the pretext of showing the participants that their signed card really is buried in the centre. Of course I know the turnover pass, but had never thought to do it in this context. I guess mine just isn't as smooth as yours, so it never occurred to me. Having watched this vid though, I'm seriously considering using the turnover pass instead of the cull if I can master doing it as well as you do. Thanks Alex!

What i love about these lessons is not only that you are showing the movement and steps in depth and so clean but also why you do it that way or the other or even NOT in another way. Also what is great is to hear about the psychology behind the moves. I am with you to only make moves when these makes sense and they are logical. That‘s why i hate the Elmsley Count even it is a great move, but no normal man would like to count the cards like that right :) I am playing around with card for two years now and i am million miles away of what you guys can do, but reading the comments of great moves and lessons when they all saying that this is not possible or to angle sensitive: It is all about learing, training and hard work. I cannot take too much time in my card learnings so i have to live with that and that‘s totally fine and this is also a reason to watch these videos and be impressed what is possible in card magic. Alex, instead of doing the double flip of the 2 halves of the deck which is much too cumbersome for my taste. I simply get them to choose the card they like in the same manner but instead of flipping the bottom half of the deck, I simply get a break above the card and as I square up the deck I use my 3 fingers under the card to pull it under my upper hand which is holding the deck and shielding the card that I am side jogging and then simply push it under the bottom of the deck and then finish squaring up the deck. It is much cleaner and smoother. The possible noise is the only draw back but practice and good patter can solve that.
this is the only pass I do, thanks Alex. I don't have a great pass so it's the move that gives me motivation saying that "hey, i can do a pass". sorry my english is not that good

In his Brick Pass DVD, Alex does a GREAT job teaching the Turnover Pass. Great camera angles. And finger positioning is taught very well. When I finally got it down right, I broke out into a BIG SMILE, and I'm thinking, Ah, Finally!!!

You could also do it faced down to face up and then just spread through the deck to “show that it’s shuffled”, and turn it back over
wow what a beautìul turnover pass!!! I have a cover turnover pass variation that perform a lot for my friends that works pretty well. But it's a bit knacky though
