I'm glad someone made a video about the custom tridents. I've watched enough Ace Race VODs to realize that the tridents didn't work as well in the water and that people should hover on the surface and wait for the autofire to get the best boost, but I really liked seeing all the mechanics being broken down into detail. Also, I didn't comment, but I really liked your Sands of Time videos.
I think the chickens were the issue during Pride24 and not the tridents but people thought it was the tridents. Lots of people kept bumping on chickens i think
Yo, just watched your MCC tridents video, it’s so good, love your stuff. I was just wondering where the massive group of MCC nerds that put together the graphs of Ace Race times (where you showed how players were getting such big leads and stuff). Because I WANNA JOIN lol please
12:00 "which gives players trouble if they try to use the trident as if it was vanilla" isn't really true; the trident not launching you if you're above water is a vanilla thing. Though it would be nice if you could launch your trident even if you're above water; I know Block Wars does that and I'm a bit surprised MCC doesn't.
You can use auto-fire to your advantage here by holding right click so that even if you're out of the water at the expected launch point, your trident will still be charged until you're back in the water where auto-fire launches you. "Acting like it's vanilla" means that they release right click when they want to launch, which forces them to do a whole new charge if they weren't in water.
Update: Tridents no longer automatically launch, and all Ace Race mechanics are now client-side to prevent ping issues.
I saw your comment on that update video 🤣
this was a worthwhile early morning watch before my first mcc. thank you goat - very very useful information

Love the editing in this video! Makes everything so clear to follow and the graphics did a great job at visualizing the trident mechanics. Great work!

Someone send this quality content to Purpled lol
new mirrorwing vid omg
I have no idea if this is the same for bedrock and I’m praying it is because I plan to sweat ace race for the event
Only time will tell, but I'd expect normal tridents for the bedrock event since there won't be any other players to collide with
@@Mirrorwing am back, there is no tridents
🔥
