    Worked out great following this tutorial. My tractor is running like new now.

    Don’t even bother trying to rebuild one of these carbs. The kit costs half as much as the carb and you don’t get much with it that is any use to you. For another $50 you can get the entire carb. Expensive lesson learned.

    I forgot to take a picture of the throttle spring, can y'all send me one? I don't know how to hook it up and my engine is running very rough without it

      Use the engine model number to find the parts list diagram for the engine and look up that part. If you can't find the engine model number, let us know the model number of your mower and we'll help you find the part. We can find the engine model that the mower likely uses and help you look up the part. Here's a link for our Sears PartsDirect website that you can use to look up and order parts: www.searspartsdirect.com/

    Have a craftsman riding lawnmower. It stalls when i let off clutch. I changed gas filter but that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas what's wrong?

      If the engine dies every time you let off the clutch, check the seat switch as shown in this video: www.searspartsdirect.com/diy/article/riding-lawn-mower-engine-dies-when-you-release-the-brake-video

    I replaced my carburetor hoping it would fix my throttle problem. My throttle still cause the engine to cut out instead of speeding up. So I can't move my throttle past the mid position.

      Let us know the model number of your mower and the model number of the engine. We'll try to help you with some troubleshooting tips once we receive that information.

    whats the little steel elbow that goes from the carb to the fuel line? Mine broke and I am having issues finding one to replace

    • @searspartsdirect
      @searspartsdirect  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the carburetor shown in the video, that steel elbow isn’t available as a separate replacement part from the entire carburetor. You’ll have to order a new carburetor if the carburetor on your engine is the same as the one in the video. Here’s a link for a replacement carburetor: www.searspartsdirect.com/part-number/591736/0071/500.html If you have a different type of carburetor, let us know the model number of your lawn tractor and we’ll see if the steel elbow is available as a separate replacement part.

    So nothing on how to test the linkage is working as planned before reattaching. Reassemblke whole machine in toto before checking the linkage works. Which was why I wasted 3 minutes watching this. Not the only one from comments below. If you are attaching / detaching linked ite,s you should always check they work as planned before encasing in the rest of the stuff

      agree. I saw a Briggs and Stratton video that explained it and showed it better. following this video, when I got everything back together it stayed and one speed even if I moved the throttle lever up and down.

    Will this carburetor fit the t2300??

      John, the person who can answer that for you is on vacation and will be back Tuesday. Sorry for the wait.

      The carburetor shown in this video is part number 594601. Craftsman T2300 riding mowers typically have a Briggs & Stratton engine model 33R877 002-G1 that uses carburetor part 591736. Here's a link for that part: www.searspartsdirect.com/product/2eg450ldi1-0071-500/id-591736 . Check the owner's manual for your T2300 riding mower to make sure that you find the right carburetor. The owner's manual typically has a parts list for the engine. If you don't find a parts list in the owner's manual for your riding mower and you need help finding the carburetor, let us know the model number of your T2300 riding mower. You'll find the model number tag under the seat for most T2300 riding mowers.

    Anyone forgetting that this doesn't solve anything until you adjust it. Can't get it adjusted

    Why all the nonsense about disconnecting the battery which has nothing to do with tuning the carburettor?

    • @benl4707
      @benl4707 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a safety precaution rule. Minor in this situation. This is another but major: disconnect ignition coil from spark plug when taking off blade for a push lawn mower.
