Please let me know if this (very detailed) video tutorial was useful? Have you learned any new tips or tricks? I hope it's not boring even if you are not new to mosaic crochet ❤❤❤
Amazing crochet skills. I’ve been crocheting for 60 years, and I’m absolutely amazed at your skill. Thank you . I’m never too old to learn something new !!
I have made mosaic blankets before but I see how you do your first sc and last sc is a much better way to add the double border. I did recently learn about the long tail foundation start. I haven't even finished watching the video and wanted to comment on your better techniques. Thank you for sharing. I am saving this video so I can try these with my next mosaic crochet.
In my many years of crochet, I have never heard of the long-tail foundation chain in crochet. I love the way the edge looks. And, of course, the blanket is truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
You can do it! Please let me know if you still find some places unclear, so l will do my best to add extra information into my other video tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
This is great. I’ve never seen a long tail foundation chain before. Thank you for your wonderful teaching tutorial. And the pattern is beautiful. 🙋🏼♀️💜🇨🇦
Hi. I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful tutorial. This is the first time I work on the front side only technique. This was not my first attempt at mosaic crochet but this was very different. I absolutely love the way you made the foundation row. That was new too but so easy and lovely as well. God bless you.
Thank you for the great video, it was easy to follow and I love that you had the diagram at the top of each row. I wrote down each row as I finished easy for me to make the repeats. and thank you for the foundation stitch I have never seen it and it makes starting the project so easy. I should have started it with one size larger hook to make it looser, next time I will know.
Thank you for the pattern and the detailed explanations that we have never found so clearly explained anywhere else. I have done a lot of mosaic crochet but from now on, with this tutorial, I know that the finishes will be much more professional. You are very generous and a great teacher! ❤
Very grateful to learn how to do the beginning and end single crochets. Also very grateful to learn how not to pull up the low. er stitches. Thank you so much 😊
Absolutely beautiful! Your edge stitch is a game changer for me. What a difference it will make when making the border. Thank you. Your mosaic projects are all gorgeous.
Hello Beba. I love all your patterns but the centre out style is my preference so I can avoid all the ends and cutting the yarn after each row. Your long tail cast on works amazingly well! Was working on your illusions blanket this morning. It’s so big that it takes an hour to complete one row. Have a dozen or so rows left to do. Thanks for all you do. If you ever decide to convert this to the center out style, I will add it to my list 😃 best wishes to you ❤❤❤
You are very kind! Appreciate a lot! I absolutely love center-out patterns myself ❤️❤️❤️ I am not sure this one can be easily converted to center-out, but l have some center-out patterns ideas, so more video tutorials will come ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely perfect as usual!! I have learned so much watching all your tutorials!! Big thank you to you!! For beginners there are lots of beautiful patterns you can buy on Ravelry and the patterns are very easy to follow! Happy Crocheting and a Merry Christmas to all! 🥰🧶🎄🦌☃️❄️❤️
I love your videos, of course it is very useful, in special your tips and the pattern that you show at the top. Thank you very much. I see you from Chile. Hugs
I am somewhat new to mosaic crochet. I have started your mosaic Aura motifs, I am up to #54 and I figure I need at least 70 motifs to complete a throw. I have been eager to learn a blanket pattern and just wanted a break on my Motif Aura and do this tutorial with you. I chose to just do two repeats as you are doing on this tutorial. Your demonstration for the foundation chain was another critical lesson for me. Furthering my crochet skills. I think the recommendation from some of your other followers to do a "2 repeat" sample of each of your beautiful patterns BEFORE actually starting a complete project is very good advice. I truly appreciate your taking the time to create this tutorial where you highlight some of the key features to keep in mind as one goes through all the rows. I do have one question, on row 15, on the next to last stitch, a note came up reading "front loop double crochet" but you actually did a front loop single crochet. That confused me, but since I am only doing a sample, I just continued what you were showing us. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us and offering all your beautiful mosaic crochet patterns. I won't live long enough to even do a fraction of them. I am almost 72 years old and have only been crocheting for about 4 years after being a commercial truck driver for 36 years. I am single and live out in the country with my 7 French Bulldogs and 2 Great Pyrenees who guard my chickens and Peafowl from cayotes and raccoons here in Oregon, USA.
Appreciate a lot your feedback! I am happy to share my knowledge! On row 15 I said it wrong (got confused, sorry!) - the last stitch after all repeats has to be back loop single crochet
Hi Beba I am new to mosaic crochet, your tutorial and tips are amazing. I have a project that I am about to start and watching your video I learned a lot and feel confident that I will succeed on my first mosaic blanket. Is it possible to have a tutorial video done for the double border please? I have watched a few videos but none uses the V stitch as the base for the borders. I would really appreciate your help or suggestion of a tutorial video for the border. Thanks
I’m actually making this blanket now! Started it two weeks ago. I am thoroughly enjoying making it. Once you get into the rhythm of it, it gets easier. Great tutorial, thank you so much. ❤
-Thank you so much for this video. I was trying to learn mosaic crochet and was about to give up even though I have crocheted for a close to 50 years. I am a perfectionist and couldn’t make my stitches even in this particular technique. You have helped me so much! Thank you again for taking your time to help!
Hello, no, it is not boring at all ! I enjoyed watching all along before throwing myself into it !!! Thank you very much. I have fallen in LOVE with mosaïc crochet that I discovered thanks to Tinna Thorudottir and a video of Annoo crochet as well. I have watched some of your other videos but there was some details that escaped my understanding.. I like very much this present video and I understood everything so I will dive into it ! Merci. From Paris France with love ❤
Love this video it helps a lot. ❤ I have this pattern. So time to get making it😊. I really learn a lot from your video's even though I've been crocheting 50 year's. The mosaic it's been 3 year's. I hope you continue to teach us all much more.❤❤❤
@belvarhoades5732 thanks a lot! Hope you find this video tutorial useful! ❤️❤️❤️ But please let me know is something is still unclear, and l will do my best to add more details in my other video tutorial ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you very much ❤️❤️❤️
I'm making this beautiful blanket at the moment. Making the foundation row, i just used 2 balls of yarn. Then you don't have to worry about whether the tail is long enough. 😊Thank you so much for this pattern.😍😍
❤❤❤ Love this!!! Already have the yarn. I just needed this beautiful pattern!! Thanks for the tips. I am always open to learning something new to improve my skills ❤❤❤
I love love love your videos and I’ve made several of your afghans. I’m interested in learning how you do your slip knot. Yours looks very secure. I’m not happy with how I’m currently doing mine. Ty. Love your videos always so detailed!!!!!!
Appreciate a lot! It's not the first time people are asking me about the slipknot. I have never thought that mine is special, so l will have this in my mind when making my next video tutorial ♥️
J adore j adore ❤😊 Ça paraît tellement simple et c'est très régulier...votre fil a l air doux et soyeux... J ai 2 couleurs qui attendent. Je vais me lancer... Merci ❤😊 Quel travail à chaque fois.bravo.merciiiiii🎉❤
Appreciate a lot! Happy to hear that! Here it is my older video tutorial DOUBLE BORDER, EASY START. THREE MAGIC STEPS th-cam.com/video/mctYBKni1P0/w-d-xo.html And l showed how to work a double border in this video tutorial as well th-cam.com/video/azSFDJRCYiw/w-d-xo.html
Beba I love your beautiful mosaic crochet blankets. I would like to make one, but I had/couldn’t following this pattern. It was confusing for me. I would like if you could teach about reading the patterns? I tried counting along with you on this pattern but I was always off the count. Thank you ❤😊
Thank you very much. I would really advise using stitch markers to mark the first stitch of every pattern repeat. If l walk through too fast, you can pause the video or edit the speed of the video or you can write down the 20 stitches pattern repeat for yourself and continue from your notes. Count count count...
Have been watching your tutorials for a long time. I think it’s time to jump in and try mosaic style patterns. You are very good in explaining the DOs and DON’Ts. It helps a great deal. Thank you. ❤❤. Q? How much #4 cotton yarn approximately is needed for the two colors?

Yes yes yes! I never thought of using the waistcoat stitch for the first and last stitch of the row. I love how that looks! ♥️
@LennyLefebvre-qb6qx thank you very much! Happy to hear that! ❤️❤️❤️

Ik vind het een heel erg mooi patroon, en heel goed voorgedaan. Wat voor rand kan je hier omheen maken?
Appreciate a lot! Happy that you like! My go-to border is a moss stitch. Always looks great! ❤️❤️❤️
may i ask what to do with the flap behind the double crochets
You don't have to do anything with it ❤️❤️❤️
I bought this elegant pattern. For now, I made only a multiple of 3 (20x3)+3=63. I will make a placemat.
Thank you very much! It's a great idea to start with something small! ♥️
Thank you very much! It's a great idea to start with something small! ♥️
I’m confused why adding 3 stitches instead of just 2? Love the centred sc at beginning and end of row. Will make adding the border so much easier.
+3 stitches are: 1 border (edge) stitch -the first stitch on every row, 1 stitch after all pattern repeats before the last edge stitch (this stitch usually is for the pattern balance and symetry) and 1 stitch - the last stitch on every row (edge stitch)
It looks like you have white, dark blue and a lighter color in your finished blanket shown?
Also, did you use a finer gauge yarn in that blanket?
@sandrastevens2793 you can find all the details about the yarn l used here, in the pattern description www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hide-and-seek-4
