I watched 4-5 other videos on this cast on, but THIS is the one that "clicked". Clear, methodical and REPETITIVE, which was the best for me to learn it. Thanks for posting!
Looks so simple but makes a big difference. I go one step further & on 2nd dark row & pick up light colored bar & brk (or brp - forget at the moment) it along with the stitch/tuck loop. 3 strands. The light colored "bar" at the bottom is what Im picking up. There is also a dark bar, but its smaller & less obvious imo. . Makes it tidier, imo.
Thank you - I watched several other videos and could not get it. You explained the cast-on in a clear and concise way and I finally got it!!
That's amazing, I'm so glad it finally made sense. Thanks!

Thanks so much Abby!
Brilliant, thanks :) I learned this cast-on at a workshop yesterday, but couldn't remember how to do the thumb back loop.

When you are counting these stitches do you count each color individually or do you count the 2 colors together as one stitch?
This doesn't mention sliding off the slip knot and had me doing this WRONG for more than an hour.
That second needle jiggling in the background drove me crazy. Couldn’t watch.
