  • How to work (a slightly modified version of) the Italian cast on for brioche stitch in the round. This produces a neat, stretchy edge that runs neatly into brioche stitch.

Excellent tutorial Lily! I prefer the Alternating, Long-tail 1x1 rib (aka Italian) cast-on to the too-often - IMHO - recommended Tubular (also aka Italian CO). So your tutorial hit resonated well for me. I'm starting a beret for a lady friend, and was looking for your exact video to kick-off the project. :) think that I'll try casting on straights, then transfer the lot to bamboo DPNs, hoping for more cling to min. the twisting. Then transfer the lot to ML! Love your Lancashire accent, as I have some remote connections in W. Yorkshire. Thanks again!!

Thank you very much! So glad it was helpful :) Hope the beret went well, I'm sure it will be much appreciated, stretchy cast on and all!

    Много болтовни, толку мало.
Нить и спицы по-толще. Болтовня вообще не нужна. Действия как в замедленной съемке - и у Вас будет миллион подписчиков!!!
