In the last 2 months that I’ve been watching your videos I’ve seen massive improvements in my training. I’ve modified my back training to implement some of your techniques and some of the tips I’ve picked up from Fouad’s videos. I’ve been training for years and have never felt my lats like I have in the last 2 months. Feeling humbled as I’ve had to drop the weight right down but I’d rather grow than move weight. Keep the videos coming, I’m learning little ways to improve my training from each video. Thanks from Australia 🇦🇺
Waited for this video to drop so I can hit back today. Listening to Mike has seriously changed my mindset and techniques during workouts. Appreciate the content boss🔥
Couldn’t agree more! This man has transformed my training. I have never felt the mind muscle connection as much as I do now. It’s crazy to think how much your chin/head and chest positioning change how much you feel things
People in your gym are lucky to have someone like you who can help and explain them the proper movement of the body while working out, feeling and contracting the muscles. The rest of us would have to learn the tips from the videos like this. Please keep up with that you are doing, we are learning a lot for bodybuilding from you 💪
You have a really incredible way of explaining things. Thank you for doing what you do, you have helped me create mind muscle connections all around my body and its helped me make progress again.
@@MikeVanWyck The sure do Mike all your coaching cues always help along the way. Weather it be rethinking the whole exercise or a slight adjustment to position your knowledge isn't wasted here.
Thank you for another great informative video. You've completely changed my perspective in movement. Efficiency , no over tensing , leverage , full range of motion. Paying close attention to chest and head position in any exercise , utilizing head and chest position to have better leverage to move and feel the muscle better. Rewatching all your content after a period of time training I often learn new things I didn't catch on the first time. Really grateful for all the content your posting , your tips and teaching really changed my life!
There is a not-entirely subtle and really pleasant difference between the Mike personality in this video and the ones from this year I have watched a handful or two of since finding you. I really like the energy of this video, they way you're speaking, and this teaching style. Your greatness comes through in all the new shit obviously too. Just an unexpectedly different vibe here and I like it.
After watching Charles Glass for a few years I need to say, this is the best info about training muscles and structure workout: blended and find out your own style and what's work for you, that's it.
It's Tuesday and my next back day is on Thursday, I'm already feeling how it will improve. The biggest take away from me wasn't the stretch, or the shoulders, but the position of the chest pad. I'd place it on the same height as my armpits, but I've noticed you prefer nipple line, for that lower lat, which I'm missing dearly, so obvious yet it has taken me 3 years to learn, ⚡
Such a great amount of insight. Thank you! I'm 65-and my interest in watching is creating/or even finding the right muscle connection just to stay in good skeletal health (plus your snarky comments)- and yes, make the punks think twice. I take some from you and some from others, like you say, to search for what works for me. I'm finding more and more from you is working. Again, thanks. Good health to you.!
Excellent video and tutorial on back training and the mechanics involved sometimes the smallest tweaks make the biggest difference in your development. Keep ‘em coming Mike some of the best content on TH-cam today.
So much knowledge here thank you so much for your time and generosity. Your videos have helped me mentally take the next step in my own training and development, definitely need more like minded guys like yourself in the industry.
Yeah, definitely going to be incorporating some of this stuff today at the gym. Mike's triceps workouts have genuinely changed the look of my arms for the better, he's truly given me a different way of thinking of and planning workouts.
Happy New Year Big Mike! Hope you have a safe, healthy, and very happy new year 🎆 Thank you for all your awesome videos. Please keep them coming. Your knowledge and way of communicating is absolutely top notch. It is a privilege to be able to watch your videos and learn from you. In person would be ideal, lol, but this is still a huge help. I have corrected a lot of mistakes I was doing. I feel every body part so much more, and now I know what the mind muscle connection is. And everything you show, it feels so much safer too. I am able to do exercises and movements I couldn’t before. I can’t thank you enough. You truly have taught me so much. Thank you. 🙏
Mag Grips are amazing. I bought a few to bring to the gym for back day and tricep days. They make a world of a difference compared to what you would normally use at the gym. Nice routine. You should consider doing a series of workouts from your perspective. Now that the summer is coming up. Because you know everyone will be looking for new routines.
Un parallel level of information. Little things that make the huge difference. No wonder i was not growing for the amount of weight im pulling. Thank you wycked wycked. appreciate much your help.
How many different exercises and supersets do you do? I’m not sure how you structure your workout for the week and how many sets/reps you do. How long are your breaks between sets?
Just discovered your videos and I like what I see and what I hear. Much better than other trainers who preach about how great they are and forget what the video is about. Lol
Hey Mike. What would be the best training split for a natural guy going to gym about 5 days a week. SHould I train every body part 2 times per week or do it once and destroy it completely? Thanks in advance
I’ve said this before but my goal body is Mikes current form. After I put on 80lbs+ of muscle with ease(especially following this “easy button” channel), how am I going to get 8 inches taller and a lot more rad?? 🤔
Bro ….. that single leg up row is gold !Keeps the angle forward , so when you pull thru and in shortened position it’s a MUCH deeper contraction ! Eliminates over arching that normally happens when you have two feet up ! Absolutely no swinging and constant tension thru entire ROM ! Doing this way has been a game changer 👊
Your form is dope, seen big improvements in my physique and also feel much better in my shoulders since i started following your tips. Your tips for especially chest and back have been great for med. Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for all the knowledge! Highly appreciated from Germany :) If you don’t mind I would appreciate your thoughts on some exercises for the back. Barbell Row T-Bar Row You are really experienced so I would appreciate your opinion on why you would not put them into a basic back workout. Maybe those exercises won’t hit the lat effectively or too much lower back stability needed? Thank you for your time
Hey Mike, great videos. I have a question. So I've recently started back working out after a ten year break, for about 5 weeks now. Some muscle groups are responding well while others are being very difficult. I'll do chest for two hours, with what I think is decent form, lots of drop sets, and even very slow heavy negative reps (although not spotter assisted) and I still wake up not sore at all. Or sometimes my pec minors will be a tiny bit sore. I'm still only able to do the same weight in the same range and my chest has grown, but very little. Any advice on how I can get through this slump? I'm working so hard and trying so many things and nothing seems to work. If I am making progress it's very small and very slow. Thanks and keep up the great work my dude Also, I'm 32 with no injuries or health issues. I'm taking in plenty of protein, lots of calories, 33% calories from all healthy fats, taking plenty of supplemental vitamins, minerals, aminos, creatine, etc.
I hit thumbs up before the video even starts rolling because it's always great content! Following your tips I feel my back more than ever before, thanks for that, and when are those t-shirts coming out Mike? I gotta be the first one in my gym rocking one 🤣

*Wyck’s 3-Angle Warm-Up:
1a) Overhand mid-back cable row
1b) Underhand lower-lat cable row
1c) Neutral cable lat pulldown
(^ higher reps? less proximal to failure?)
2a) Seated Neutral/Supinated Row (heavy)
2b) Unilateral Neutral/Supinated Pulldown (open up outer lat)
3a) Unilateral Standing Low Row (or Dumbell Row)
3b) Unilateral High Row Pulldown (squeezing 'down into spine')
I’m assuming these movement groups are performed in alternating sets?
I think it’s supersets.
