After implementing your back training queues and techniques, I realized I haven't been engaging my back properly since I first started training years ago. The information is invaluable and much appreciated!
I‘m 34 now and train since i‘m 15 and i thought i have seen it all. Since i saw the first videos with you and Antoine my whole training style has changed in a positive way.The mind muscle connection and the overall feeling in the target muscle is so much intense. Keep up the good work. Your knowledge is top notch. Damn how great would ist be to train with you…
You’re the truth broski! You’re so straight up and honest, a realist, not sugar coating anything. You’re the only guy I watch and take advice from. Thanks for all the great content 💪🏼👊🏼
Mike i started lowering the weights n learning from zero again how to engage muscles the right way.. no ego lifting shit no more.. tq man.. fan from malaysia
I am so grateful to you for this channel Mike. I'm 53, been lifting with what I thought was "good form" for years. When I hit 50 I thought that's it, I'm done, I will just stay healthy and maintain. Since I started watching and learning from you I have made great progress! Amazing! Wish I'd trained this way years ago, might have saved my joints 😁 Thanks again big man 👍
Been a big help Mike. I have always been kind of tense. But never lifted too heavy. Actually had a great back pump last night just learning how to open up and relax more
I feel like as Mike continues to grow on social media platforms. Not a lot of people will like him because he speaks truth. A lot of people now days can’t handle it. Keep posting Mike!
Best channel I've subscribed to! Just in the few weeks I've been watching, I have picked up little things and made some tweaks to my training and made a huge difference already! Keep the info coming Mike! It's much appreciated!
Took me 11 years to learn doing back like that. Makes me so glad people can just get such detailed information now days and literally save even a decade of time 😁 Thanks for everything kind sir
Love your content brotha 🙏🏽been doing your workout moments. Let me say that I’ve broken the Plato. I feel the workout lot more than before. Once again thank you!
im glad you said that more weight doesn't mean more muscle growth..... so many people are obsessed on thinking that if I go heavier every workout it must mean I'm growing too... I'm about to hurt some peoples feelings when I share this lol bang on again Mike!💪🏻⚒
Overlooked point. People chase a strength number because of the male ego. And usually at the expense of form. And it's amazing its like 90% of my gym does it and 100% of anyone say 25 and younger. The funny one now is to deadlift the concentric portion then totally drop the weight as fast as possible. None have impressive backs.
in regards to "opening your back up", How important or helpful do you think stretching is? I would think stretching over time would help with things like that, keeping your active ROM intact so you can stretch and contract the most efficiently. Do you think it translates to all bodyparts or do you think stretching is more important for certain muscles that tend to knot up or act dysfunctional? Curious to hear your POV on loaded stretches like in DC for example as well. Could touch on static vs dynamic stretching too if you want that, but we sholdnt foget that the movements we do in the gym is stretch under load as well, so that should in theory be maintaining our ROM and functionality
Hey what-up (Big Mike) I don't have any word to say but I'm one of your fan and I'm using my sister phone cause I lost my but anyway watching your videos is the best thing and all around to me your way of working out is number 1one.. Thank You and God Bless You and your family.... Your number 1 ONE and the FACT....💪💪🤙🤙👍👍☝️☝️
Makes so much sense Big Mike! Less weight let’s you engage the muscle more intensely. I’m curious if you have watched Milos train Regan and what your thoughts are on his style of training
Hey big Mike... Would definitely love more content about training arms.... Btw your video on the preacher curl was the fucking real deal... My biceps are sore for the first time in my life today....
Love how the first 5 minutes of this video is “stop learning already! But also I don’t mind learning and making it my own! But stop learning! Too much learning in the gym!”
Its back day today for me, you popped into my recommended feed on rear delts and after watching then applying it in, being able to feel it more. That is important, I appreciate that and keeping it basic, simple is the way, thank you for that. I'd honestly rather learn what's useful for targeting the right areas and I always look for ways to improve, things that are worth keeping in, not keeping in and actually doing it correctly over not, don't want injuries either, again a big thank you for the real knowledge, not the bs.
Thanks for the continued knowledge and gems in training, I’ve learned so much from your videos. I might be the only one interested in this but could do a video on Calf training, asking for my genetically challenged calves 🤣😩
How do we get this knowledge to the younger generation? The kids that are just lifting or starting to see the benefits of weight training. I had a P.E. teacher that took attendance and let us lift. Im 33 and learn something every time I watch your videos! Thanks for the content Mike, keep them coming! Interested to hear what you think about cardio and the different types, fasted, HItt, high intensity or no cardio at all.
Sadly the younger generation seems to care more about video games and streaming than developing the best gift they were given. Aka their bodies My thoughts on cardio are this. It’s very important and should be done in some capacity every day
I saw a couple guys do this at my gym and I thought hmm might try it because well they're built so they must know something I don't. After seeing this, I'll stick to db rows and just work on the tips you've given regarding engaging my lats. Thank you. Video is on point as always. 👊
Whats the best line of pull for pecs/ elbow angle in your opinion. Dont have all the fancy machines you have there. Great tips for back as well, most people dont know how to train lats right.
@@Noughtnowknoteva for example some people say when doing dumbbel press, your elbows shouldnt be 90° to the side because it can increase risk of injury. Some say between 70-45° but I would think that makes it more shoulders less chest.
I implemented your cues for chest training and the DOMS I got was insane. Just one question, what are your thoughts on flat bench for chest training? I have always felt that it's a very triceps dominant movement no matter what elbow or hand position I have. Even though I can activate chest well throughout it always lands up fatiguing my tris way before chest. Thanks for the videos!
@@Noughtnowknoteva yes, however before I've fatigued my chest in let's say a set of 10 reps, my triceps are blown and it prevents me from taking my chest to failure. Should I focus on strength endurance for triceps so they don't fatigue faster than chest?
Can you make a video about incline dumble bench press and the best technique or is it the same technique which you explained in your straight dumbless bench press video
Genuinely Enjoy your content! Something I have not seen you address though is that big heavy compound movements are the bread and butter to getting a decent foundation built especially for younger guys. I feel like you are hyper focused on cables, machines, and really focusing on good muscle contractions which is great for maintaining a physique (especially an aged one). However let’s be clear the vast majority of monsters are the product at getting really good at big compound exercises. Once the mass is attained a lot can be retained through isolation movements that you do a fantastic job on relaying ways to improve.
@@Noughtnowknoteva they bastardize the Yates row and i think it is usually because they are too lazy to bother with a 90 degree row. Not saying that is ideal, but a ton of great golden era dudes built backs on 90 degree old school rows and chin ups lol.
Just mildly curious. If I'm the guy now that consciously tries to just use my chest to lift the weight on the prime incline press machine and it ends up slowing my reps down, am I that technical guy you're talking about? Now that I'm older, it seems to alleviate pain lifting in this manner as opposed to using other muscles to move the muscle on the right line in a steady pace. But do tell me if I'm shooting my progress in the foot by lifting this way.
Great video like always bro! Do u think u could do a video on natural supplements that actual work. I'm 39 years old male and new to lifting and wondering if test booster pills actually work because i know at my age my test levels are low. Cheers bro and have a great Christmas
WYCKED merch coming soon. 😎

Coming Sunday 🤫
