    I personally know Shari. She is my older sisters best friend. She got DF because her husband was cheating with their congregation befriends wife and she got depressed and started smoking cigarettes. Then a couple years later her youngest daughter sadly took her own life at like 13 I think, I can’t quite remember anymore. The girl playing her in the videos is her actual oldest daughter whose husband was put in jail for child SA but never DF from what I remember. We used to be in this congregation many moons ago, and she ran with the hoity toity crowd. I remember going to her wedding when I was a little girl to her first husband Cliff and it was known knowledge that she got pregnant before they were married but never got in any trouble for it at the time. Fast forward again to when she got disfellowshipped my father in law was on the committee and I remember she was not even DF even a year I think it was like 6 months. I personally think it’s because this was a total party congregation and she threw some pretty good parties.

      Sadly, I have knowledge about this too. She went by a different name back then, she became an alcoholic after her husband (an elder) was caught cheating. At that time, she forgave him, but went to AA and met a guy there, cheated with him, and her husband refused to forgive HER. They got divorced. She went on to have a daughter with another guy...as post above states... Her ex, the elder, and father of the girl playing "young" her in the video, well he married a young blonde and had twin boys and simply switched halls.

    And that married couple! They change from Joy of newness and Life to rigid, worried WT robots going through a mud puddle in their car. And they can’t even do meditation. When asked: “What did you say?” The couple admits they froze but they got homework. Oh Gee. You know, WT shows these young people who have not yet experienced life. They don’t show the forgotten elderly in Nursing Homes. They do not show widows or homeless or terminally ill. They show young, perky adults (gullible), the targets of the WT BUSINESS.

    I loved the conspiracy that the Colleges and Universities are scouring Kingdom Halls for potential students because Watchtower has trained their young ones with the perfect skill set prized by said Universities. It's as crazy as TM's rant that gay men go into the fashion industry so they can design tight pants that men will buy, and they can then stalk said men to watch them in their tight pants. Who listens to this stuff and concludes "that all sound reasonable to me". Great job on the video.

      Those that believe these ludicrous theories and prejudicial beliefs, are those that have had their powers of reasoning, of critical thinking and cognitive clarity removed and they are function solely on Cult Micromanagent and Intimidation.
      The very first thing that Religious Cults, like Watchtower Org, do, is removed all Personal Boundaries and Self Driven Beliefs and replace them with Cult Imposed Doubts, Deep Seated Fears and Shame Centered Guilt Tripping.
      Once the person becomes Codependent,Trauma Bonded and Reliant Fully Upon the Cult; They become a Completely Moldable Source for Cult Agendas and Propaganda.
      Zero Individuality is left.
      Zero Personally Held Convictions or Discernment is left.
      I often say to a Staunch JW I know personally; "If the GB told You that the sky is actually purple🟣 and that Satan is merely convincing The World that it is Blue🔵, You'd accept it without any debate. Without a moments thought or rejection. Ridiculous? You "wouldn't", because you know the truth? Well...Why then, do you not allow yourself to question, every other declaration and expectation from these Men? Why don't you choose to staunchly uphold other personally held beliefs that contradict what these Men are pushing? It's because, These Men are in control of your life, and not yourself as you profess to be."

    • @B.W-k8k
      @B.W-k8k 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @dwaynecaron5629,
      Well, the Society seems to talk down to its followers as if they were incredibly incompetent, unfortunately. The idea that gay men create fashionable pants just so that they get check out JW men who buy them and wear them. What balderdash. Even if gay men were checking you out because they think you look sexy in tight pants, all you would have to do is say thanks but no thanks. If anything, gay dudes thinking you look hot in tight pants, wouldn't that be a compliment? Isn't it better than having someone think you look like a total toad face?
      The idea of colleges and universities wanting JWs to attend their institutions because of their skill set--wouldn't that actually be a good thing? Oh, don't get me wrong, all work-related institutions want to use your skills to make money off of you. That's part of living in a society that practices a rather unsustainable form of capitalism. I believe workers should own the means of production, personally. Why wouldn't God want to be all you can be in this life? Don't get me wrong, I'm an atheist, but still. What makes the Governing Body so sure that God would be happy with you ignoring and neglecting your potential if you have the chance to do something with it?

    As a JW myself of some 30 plus years but faded, i have to say i never stopped associating with "worldly" people both socially and professionally. I paid little attention to the organisation's admonishments to "not associate" ( socially) with non JWs. In the time I spent in the organisation, I found the friendships to be very conditional and somewhat fake. Their idea of "wholesome" socialising was having a meal together followed ideally by the singing of kingdom songs or discussions on "how I came into the Truth" etc. Ive noticed however, many children of the JWs I grew up with have left the organisation and some have well and truly "let loose" and gone to extremes in being the very opposite to the ultra conformist personalities often developed within the organisation. Interestingly though some of the most dedicated JW parents I knew, DID allow their children to go to university thus allowing them to become professionals in various fields. I guess the parents did have SOME sense of reality in terms of what their kids should do in terms of employment and living independently financially. In my case, in fading, I had no trouble at all in going about my life outside the organisation. Indeed , so absolutely hypocritical were some VERY prominent elders I knew in our congregation who were so heavily and deeply involved in secular businesses ( to reaping the rewards of materialism- but hey, I have to make a living right? ) to the extent that their children on the urging of their "spiritually minded" parents also eventually followed in the same line of business and so great was the pressure to succeed it ended with one tragically taking their own life. If I ever see that elder again, I may want to ask him whether it was all worth it?Preaching one thing from the platform but leading a contrary life to what is espoused by the Christ. Also I cant help notice how much this organisation is run like the dystopian government described in George Orwells "1984". The resemblance is uncanny.

    Don’t demand your own rights says Mr Bell. It’s funny how the watchtower demands rights and takes court action at the drop of a hat.
    Norway takes grants away and the JWs demand the grants as being their right.
    Even the earlier mention about the watchtower going to the European courts because their rights were impinged upon. It’s not like other religions had their rights removed or limited in Georgia either.
    In other words don’t complain if we remove your rights but if anyone else removes the organisation’s rights as a whole we must institute legal action.

    • @B.W-k8k
      @B.W-k8k 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @murph8411,
      I don't think any religious institution deserves government funds, especially if they don't engage in charity work that could benefit anyone in need. The Watch Tower Society only cares about civil rights as long as it involves their adherents being able to practice the Witness faith. The Society is very litigious and will take action on that front. All other civil rights are irrelevant to them. They didn't advocate for desegregation in the American South during the Civil Rights Movement. They would never advocate for women's civil liberties or the LGBTQIA+ community's civil rights, unfortunately--even though most JWs are women, and most probably know someone (even in their own family) or work with someone who is LGBT. The civil rights of immigrants don't matter unless you, as a JW, are able to go into detention facility or camp to proselytize to them, apparently.

How about treating JW women who survived an incident of rape that did not call out for help for whatever reason like human beings and give them the comfort and support that they both need and deserve.

At this time I was 22, had been a ministerial servant since I was 18, had parts on every meeting, had parts on assemblies and conventions and gave public talks. When I said im not a regular pioneer because I have to work full time she immediately got turned off and never saw or talked to her again. Made me feel conpletely defeated and not good enough. Its no wonder so many JW marriages fail when all that matters is whats on the spiritual resume.

      @JAMESANdjames9,
      In the world of Jehovah's Witnesses, it's one rule for the goose and another for the gander. Yes, it's always morally wrong when the JWs (or any other religious group) undergo persecution by any government and have to endure verbal, emotional and physical abuse from adherents of other faiths-- there's no question about that. It's also just as wrong to refer to former Witnesses as "mentally diseased" because their religious or moral beliefs have changed. You can believe that ex-Witnesses' apostasy will doom them to die at Armageddon all you want, it's no different than the belief that God will send unrepentant sinners to burn in Hell for all of eternity after their mortal deaths, that doesn't bother me. But us being "mentally diseased" because we no longer believe in JW doctrine? Really?

I know Lloyd and other commentators have done vids about the missing videos but a few examples of date of the orig videos would be great.
    I also asked about why JWs were not allowed to see the shepherd the flock books if that is the book that they in essence have to work too and the answer was it’s all elsewhere in other publications (just not in the one place !). Again any thoughts if that’s it true

An angel hovering in midair is willing to watch over them as they prepare to evangelize in their local community and as they rev their car through a big mud puddle on their way to participate in Field Service---but is that same angel going to go help a starving, sick non-Jehovah's Witness child living in a remote African village by providing that baby with good, tasty, nutritious food and making sure that the child has access to quality healthcare and a good education? Or do angels only care about you if you're thinking about becoming a Witness, or if you're already a Jehovah's Witness?

Jesus said at Mathew 11:28-30 ‘come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest…my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’ Remember why he said this, because of all the restrictions and rules of the Pharisees. Anyone who is a jw or studying to be one and starting to jump thru all the hoops should consider this scripture and why he said these words.

      Well, I think what Lloyd means that is instead of reading fictional non-JW literature a Witness should really be more dedicated to reading the Bible and studying the Governing Body's interpretation of the Bible through the Watch Tower Society's own literature. Reading fictional non-JW literature for pleasure is essentially just a waste of time and an unnecessary distraction from one's religious life as a JW in the Society's eyes. The difference between the JWs and you, a self-professed nondenominational Christian who leads a mostly secular life, is that you don't have to abide by anyone else's specific interpretation of the Bible and you probably don't have anyone else telling what you should or should not be reading; you probably do not have anyone threatening you with divine punishment or estrangement from your family and friends if you aren't abiding by another person's, a congregation's or an organized denomination's specific interpretation of the Bible, or if you're not reading the Bible as often as they want you to.
