Love the goring gambit. I am 1400 rapid and am winning 80% of games with your goring repertoire. I have gotten wins like never before with rook sacrifices and bishop mates. Really a game changer for me. Thanks
lol, I wasn't expecting to hear "The Rose" while watching a chess video. Anyone else find themselves singing along? Some say love, 🎶it is a river 🎶 That drowns the tender reed 🎶
Isn't the move g4 at 12.15 a big mistake? After blacks answer g5! white has to scrifice either the h- or f-pawn in order to get a pawn promoted. Black wil promote as well
I tend to prefer 1.d4 positions but have recently been playing 1.e4 a lot to improve my sense of the initiative and how to play open positions. Eventually even closed positions open up!
How do you see stuffs so quickly? I realized I’m not that bad I’m just really slow analyzing/calculating etc… I did a significant amount of drugs when I was a kid maybe that’s why idk
Great question! :) Including Nf3 and Nc6 takes away black’s best options vs the danish (notably with d5) and offers much more attacking opportunities for white. See the goring repertoire video which offers this explanation: th-cam.com/video/7aq-wYxeYjU/w-d-xo.html
Really like your videos, but I just have two constructive criticisms: 1) I really can't stand the music. No music is much better. Easier to concentrate on the game. 2) Your mic volume is very low, always have to turn up my volume for your videos. 3) (Not a crit) Please make more "how to" videos. The deeper the dive the better. Thanks!
Thanks for your feedback!! :) Had a couple twitch streams where I tried out some music, and there was another one or two where my external mic had unplugged and switched back to my built-in laptop mic without me realizing, going forward neither of these things will happen! still might be a couple TH-cam vids that feature some content from those past streams. Glad you enjoy :)
Fun line for casual quick online games but I wouldn't try this in otb classical with anyone intermediate or higher. All black needs to do is play 5. Bc4 Nf6 and not only is the attack over before it started but we also allowed black to equalize free of charge or worse. Below is a simple line (5. Bc4 Nf6) black can play to avoid all the nonsense. Even the simple 4. c3 d5 puts an end to white's attack. Lichess databases for players 2000+ (both amateur and titled) show that black wins the majority of these games. No thanks! 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. c3 dxc3 5. Bc4 Nf6 6. Nxc3 d6 7. Qb3 Qd7 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. c3 d5
Would recommend checking out the original goring gambit video, which advises what to do against these lines and more :) th-cam.com/video/7aq-wYxeYjU/w-d-xo.html

no music is more preferable than your pure voice William!:)
4:55 seeing that you had to sack the pawn to avoid stalemate with 2 seconds left was incredible. Only thing missing was h8=bishop for checkmate
I'm glad you kept the music. Miyazaki soundtrack brings me back.
One of my favourite gambits
Genial analizis.gracias FM William.Saludos.

Yes-a truly beautiful song

stop making me wish i played 1.e4 😭
Nothing is stopping you from playing 1.e4 :P

Monster 👍

man I suck, every time I play Goring or the Danish my opponent plays like h6 a6 doing nothing and I still can't punish it
why goring over the danish?

Music really is terrible. No music or high-energy music
