My favorite opening is King's gambit. Can you recommend something remotely similar for black against e4? I tried Owen, Pirc, Caro and i didn't like them. Stafford is hard to get, most people decline it. (2k lichess elo) (thanks folks for all answers) I stand corrected, aggressive play 2.e5 3.Bc5 is working in general, plenty of options to avoid boring lines.
Against the Ruy/Spanish, I really like 3. … f5. I think some people call it the Jaenisch, but there are multiple Jaenisch gambits IIRC. It’s like a sounder KGA. Against the Italian, I play both knights out to get them to attwmpt the Fried Liver since that is sharp and enjoyable (if they decline, I find myself enjoying the position).
Great video and I already got a win with this when I tried it! However, how do you respond after 1. E4 E5 2. F4 D5 3. D4?I just got this and didn’t know how to continue
00:37 in my video I think Nxc6 is best here, most common move is Nxe4, which loses to Qe7, Qe2, and Nd4

Maybe something like a Rousseau gambit against the Italian (quite dubious though)
Have you watched his Busch-Gass video?

@@jakebiderman2175 tried B-G, 6 or 7 games 0 accepted. this is the main problem with gambits in general.

Good question! In general I like exd4 there and after qxd4 to play nf6 and get a knight to support the very strong bc5 (where nd7 or ne4)
