Hey! Thank you for watching this week! Sorry our video was a little late, we've been battling with dodgy internet for the last few days 😅 We also wanted to know, how are you feeling about winter coming? Are you a fan of the colder weather or do you miss the summer sunshine? Jack & Gabby xxx
Tip :Hy I live in a metal Boat too.. You live in a Cage of ferraday.. I bought a wifi repeater and have an antenna outside whit a cabel.. So I have exelent internet in the boat. Good luck
I live in a self converted 7.5 ton truck with my little boy, and despite having a good woodburner that keeps us pretty warm I still hate the cold so much that winter is my least favourite season. I’m OK with Autumn and Spring, but Summer is my favourite time of year.
Great work! I am new to the channel. Do not listen to people who are critical of you. Remember the people who mind do not matter and the people who matter do not mind. Best wishes from Canada.
Hi, I love your vlogs. I’m fairly new to your channel so still have loads to watch going back to the start. I love getting cosy at home during the cold weather. I live in England but come from Australia so you’d probably think that I’d love hot weather, but I don’t. I love candlelight, pots of coffee, home baking, warming casseroles and good books and being snuggled up with my dog and cat on the sofa. I hope the heating is up and running now for you. I love those wood burner stoves. ❤
Ohhh that all sounds so lovely. We cannot wait to bake our first bread in it - hopefully not far off that beautiful bread smell spreading through the boat! Autumn is such a special time 🍂🍁
I am pleased that your dog is getting the spa tx. Enjoy your hair while you are young. My husband had beautiful hair when we met 35 years ago. Sadly, he has very little now. My hair is a bit thinner, too. So enjoy it now😂
We love watching you guys you are a breath of fresh air and we wish you everything. Nappy days are on the horizon and what a wonderful Mummy and Daddy you will be. Take care and enjoy this wonderful time and keep those amazing videos coming. ♥️x
Well done guys it all seems to be coming together very nicely and Jack you made fitting that back boiler look so easy, well done! Of course I love the summer but I also love the cosyness of winter to,hunkering down with blankets log fires and hot chocolate. xx
Hi love the tiling cant wait to see it all finished. Love the idea for the stove heating and the lovely pipes too. Already missing the warmer weather here as fuel prices are too expensive now living in an old built house and my sore bones get cold very easily. By the way nothing wrong with your hair at all..Be who you want to be :)
A good job tackling the back boiler (a very intimidating task). I’m sure things will be fine, once all is sorted. As to hair? I’m pretty gobsmacked that people even think it’s relevant to comment on someone’s appearance :)
Well done for getting the back boiler in. You’re nearly there. You definitely will need the heat this week as it’s definitely getting cooler. Take care. Nick
You are a delightful couple and very brave attempting fitting that back boiler to your stove. Could I suggest you look at distributing the radiator heated water using 18mm pipe. It speeds up the transfer of heat and the small bore radiators are much better looking and lighter to fit. Using adaptors you can still use the the wider bore piping for the general hot water distribution and feed the 18mm for the radiators. Your hair is a fine mane, no need to cut any of it and why not enjoy the warmth. Good luck with the plumbing you can only learn by your mistakes, use PTFE tape carefully and test every joint before you commit to it. Your growing family will appreciate your efforts through the Winter months.
No way!!! No way!! I was Moored near to you guys just last week!!! Me and 3 boys. And I kept thinking what a beautiful boat you guys had, such a beautiful colour!!! Also congratulations on you little one set to arrive
🔥 *edit: Ahh at least I was spurring you on to get the fire lit. You got so much done though, not much further to go and lighting the fire isn’t far off.
There is something so special about it - now the temperatures have dropped a bit, feeling a little nippy but having the warmth of the sun on your face is unbeatable!
If you ever need to move that stove again, get yourself some plexiglass! I have a big heavy stove and when they come to service it, they put the plexiglass under it’s legs and it slides around like it’s on ice!
I hope its not going to be too warm for you guys. Just with my little multi fuel stove it heats the whole boat up. I just couldnt imagain having radiators on board too. But thats me. Your doing a great job!
Enjoying and appreciating life around you is critical to good mental health, no matter where you are. As to the water attraction, remember, we spend the first 9 months of our lives in a liquid-filled sac...
Well done on the back boiler job, great to see you get stuck into the pipe work, a good piece of work all round. Love the run up to Christmas now with Halloween and Bonfire night, Autumn is lovely but cant afford the heating bills😬. Keep up the good work. 👍
Hi jack Gabby and Tilly, great video as usual nice to see you nearly ready to start up your cooker although I got it wrong about you having it completed by the end of the video but that is just how it goes isn't it. Hope you have it finished soon so you can have it on both for cooking and for heat. I'm one of those that although I like the look of the countryside in winter i don't like winter itself as it affects my arthritis if it's too cold, love your videos guys xx
Hi guys, great vlog this week, we have just discovered your channel. My partner asked if I knew what you are using to stick the tiles up with. I will admit. I prefer your way than the tile cement stuff I would use. If you could let me know that would be great. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Hey - thanks for finding us and subscribing! We used Victas hest resistant silicone. Worked really well! We did do quite a bit of research first on the forums so content it's good in the long run, we've found cement gets quite cracky and ugly after time!
Well the dog got a hair cut if you are not how about tying it back out your eyes area. You have a good amount of hair. Your new bubble will have good crop of hair too
Hello Jack & Gab, all the way from Verona Italy, love you both. Just wanted to say about the copper tube Jack has installed , and that it's running on the back wall of the boat, shouldn't it be lined? As it will become hot? If I'm Wrong please excuse me, I'm just a woman, hahaha , xxx
Hey - thanks for saying hi!! It will become hot but it doesn't need to be lined 🙂 But just have to say.... being a woman has nothing to do with whether you'd be wrong or not on that!!
Thanks for the update😊 I am not bothered or “ boverred” by Jack’s hair…some people are just jealous that they don’t have hair or whatever? Gabby looks a bit “bigger” today, won’t be long now…I am still looking into buying you guys a “coffee “, I am use to Patreon, Anyway, I have a problem with Jack’s running shorts he wears while working on the boat, I am deathly afraid that “something” is going to pop out😂 How much will it cost me to have Jack permanently retire those gray nylon/rayon running shorts? Thanks😊
Haha shorts season is NEARLY over.... unless the fire is too hot and they remain a year-round fixture 😅 Gabby has popped these last couple of weeks... makes maneuvering around each other in the boat interesting 😅
Please please please address this issue, you must leave at least 50mm between the top of you double lined flue pipe and your T&G boards, they are combustible and the manufacturer will require that 50mm as a minimum clearance otherwise your timber I’d very likely to scorch and possibly even catch fire! It’s really very important to do this!
Would you not be better off getting an expert to do your boiler plumbing....I know you want to save money but might be better off in the long run......good luck....Martin.....
We did have a little initial look around but there's not many options for people that would take this on!! But hey, learning new skills is only a good thing... we're nearly there!
Well you appear to be doing a remarkable job, but as a hairdresser for goodness sake get yer hair cut Jack (at least the top front) so you can see what the heck you’re doing! Wearing a hat helps but not all the time since you’ll get a hot head!!!! Good luck ! 🧲 xx

I prefer spring, when it’s in the middle 🌤️
When he said " for this beast down here" I thought he meant something entirely different than the dog😂
Hahaha! This properly made us laugh 😂😂
Me too… and I thought “oh cheeky” te he.
Great work! I am new to the channel. Do not listen to people who are critical of you. Remember the people who mind do not matter and the people who matter do not mind. Best wishes from Canada.

A good job tackling the back boiler (a very intimidating task). I’m sure things will be fine, once all is sorted. As to hair? I’m pretty gobsmacked that people even think it’s relevant to comment on someone’s appearance :)

Good job on boiler and pipe work, so kind as the fires on before baby is born.😂
Thank you!! Almost there 🙂
If you ever need to move that stove again, get yourself some plexiglass! I have a big heavy stove and when they come to service it, they put the plexiglass under it’s legs and it slides around like it’s on ice!
Ahh great tip! Hopefully it's never moving again now 😅😅
🔥Barbara, from sunny Queensland. I am enjoying your vlogs very much and admire all your hard work with the new boat .
Hey Barbara!! Thank youuu ✨
I remember having to leave the door open when coal fire was going in winter.
I hope its not going to be too warm for you guys. Just with my little multi fuel stove it heats the whole boat up. I just couldnt imagain having radiators on board too. But thats me. Your doing a great job!
Our last boat was way too cold with just one fire so we wanted to up our game on this new one!
Your 1st family 🔥xXx
Long hair don’t care 🤭 good to see things coming together!

Hey, looking good the firestove. Soon will be warm, walking round in the nuddy on camera eh 😃🤣😂🤣

@@thistinylife that is how it goes especially when you're learning how to do it from scratch but you've done well so far

How does that stove not sink the boat..?
