A wonderful conversation to listen to, and boy o boy ame I grateful for having been born 1953, our generation were so lucky, even though it wasn't always easy, still we didn't have to listen to hiphop or gangster rap, we had REAL MUSIC❤❤❤

Love this! I need to let me two sisters know about this. All three of us read/have read Rolling Stone magazine through the decades. And we'll finally get to see Bruce in concert early next year. So ... win/win!!

Bruce is a terrible interviewer. No offense to the boss but stick to music.

Hey Jan I provided Bruce Springsteen with lyrics to several of his major hit songs. When I was 15 when I was 16 and when I was 23.
Roughly from 1974 to 1982. I met him when he was 26 he didn't have money to pay for lyrics. This is what Bruce said to me " I will take the songs and I will pay you if I use them depending on how good they are.?"
I asked " how much.?" He said
"That depends on how good they are." I met him when I was 15 in 1974 working at Sky Blue studios in Sonoma California. I provided him lyrics then and I provided him with additional lyrics in 1982 that were included on the Born In The USA album. Jan Bruce Springsteen is not an honorable or decent guy.
I gave him songs that made him millions and he didn't pay for them.
He is a song shark. My uncle Peter Heine was director of advertising for Billboard Magazine. I learned to write for the charts from him and the people that made up the charts at 9000 sunset in LA. My first exposure to a 16 track was when I was 13 years old. I used to take out the trash and run the vacuum cleaner.
Money is just a way of showing respect. Bruce Springsteen has no respect for anybody but himself.
He thinks it's all about him..
I currently live in Glen Ellyn California.

Wow. All those rock "greats" are con-men. All business, 90% phony.
