Hello everyone! I just wanted to come on here to let y’all know to tell your surgeon to do an alar base stitch. My surgeon does this automatically for all his DJS patients.
What this does is keep your nose from getting wider. I had DJS almost three weeks ago, and my nose looks exactly the same as before. Just something to ask your surgeon about if nose change is a concern for you.

You look great. I just had DJS a few weeks ago. Doctor also did some nose work due to the upper jaw movement. My nose is also wider. I'm 100% ok with it.

Hi, I had double jaw surgery and have a noise that's 3 times wider than it was before surgery, so I'm thinking on doing something about it. How did the nose work go for you ? I'm extremely scared that it might get worse 😢

I had my jaw joint replacement surgery with Genioplasty and Lefort done on 27th of April and now 1 month post op and I have been doing my excercise but I am not seeing any results of my mouth opening getting any wider I can fit 2 fingers as used to before my surgery can you please a video on what exercise did you use to do and how much time did it take you to the point where you could fit your 3 fingers in your mouth.

I actually didn’t do any exercises and was never told to by my surgeon/orthodontist... I only did a few exercises after seeing videos and I probably didn’t do them any more than on two separate occasions. I guess just eating and talking helped. Good luck! Time and patience really is the key :)
