Boy was i happy when I watched your video. Why I didn't think of ironing the creases instead of drawing them I'll never know.😂 I have been making placemats & marking them . I was having trouble getting the chalk lines removed. So thank you!
I love giving homemade gifts at Christmas. This will be cute with a bag of cookie mix and maybe a spatula tied with a pretty ribbon. Thanks for the tutorial!
That is a great tip in folding it. I have had problems at the end after flipping it, lining the material together. Thank you and cool iron!! Also tying the thread, great tips!!
Hi Laura, great tutorial, tip and trick before sewing on sewing the bag together, after inserting the rice, instead of pinning it , I don't pin I don't have luck pinning I always poke myself. I would take fabric glue to keep it place than I sew it together. Great Job love it
I was thinking my ears were going bad until I realized your iron pops back up with the little mechanic noise after you press your fabrics xD thought I was going crazy

Is there something else to use for filling that would be washable
trim corners before turning inside out and get a clean edge
Does it have too be 100%cotton
do you happen to have an Etsy account? or happen to sell these online by chance?
At the moment, no. But we are working on starting a store on our website, www.cdcrew.com
Couldn't you make an insert bag with the rice and then just put them in hot pad with your design?
Then the cover could be washed.
How do you launder them?
Can only wipe the off. Would not put them in water because of the rice.
How much rice? 1 cup? 2?
never thought of using rice
What have you used? Problem with rice -- can't wash.
Chia seeds
People make it like that for heat pads for thier sore muscles
