    Beautiful tractor, it's too bad that finances got WFE, Field Boss, I would have loved for them to stayed in business, I use to setup white farm equipment back in high school, my brother in law dad owned a dealership and I just bought a 4-150 to restore and take to the antique machinery show near Georgetown ohio in August, love the whites , thanks for sharing Mike ,great video

    I had a White 4-150 articulated tractor with a 3208 Cat loved that tractor. It never gave me very many problems. Even hooked it to my 8 row 7000 JD planter when the 1850 Oliver went down and the rain was coming. That was 20 years ago though. Sometimes I really miss farming.

    What a beautiful tractor in lovely condition, - none like that in the UK, (at least not working). If you want my opinion it was being used to keep all the oil and parts moving so as they do not get seized up. I have a number of old commercials, and we always give them a "run" at least twice a year. After all if your going to spend a lot of money on restoring and keeping them, there is no point in "re-doing" them again in 10 yrs time when something breaks due to lack of maintenance.

    Nice machine. I read a story on Successful Farming about a tractor like this that was auctioned off after the farmer had passed. The auctioneer wanted the sons to have a something to remember their dads favorite tractor. So he found a toy replica of it and drove thru the night to get it and made it back to present it to them at the auction. Makes me wonder the story behind this one.

    Hi Mike, a week or so ago I saw a video you posted of a haying operation in Rockland Idaho. I actually live in American Falls just 15 miles down ID Hwy 37! I was just wondering if you got any other farm videos as you traveled through our great State of Idaho?

    Outstanding video Mike !!!!
    Not only does this farmer take excellent care of his equipment, his tool bar tank and tractor match !!
    The green growth in the field, is this a cover crop or weeds? Did the farm spray prior to this tillage? Just wondering how this growth is managed.

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are weeds and I'm not sure but I don't think this has been sprayed yet.

      @farmhandmike  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DaWhatEva Yes again those were end rows he was doing at 1:40. Maybe it doesn't look like it on video but I was there and that's what was going on. Maybe they didn't have to put as many end rows down last year with when it was soybeans.

    Is that White tractor basically an Oliver with different sheet metal and paint? The Oliver’s seemed to be very reliable.

    • @nellsonstout7001
      @nellsonstout7001 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These tractors replaced the Oliver, moline and Cockshutt lines. A few early models had some Oliver and moline features but the field boss cab is 100% white. This tractor was a later model and there wouldn’t be anything Oliver about it
