The official website for buses and teams is: www.mpk.krakow.pl where you can find timetables. For a very useful app search: jakdojade. But you can also check on Google maps. There is also an app: krk pod reka, where you can see the location of cars live.
@glickyaron9490 Thank you :) Uber cars and other taxis are available if you call them in advance and usually they are going to wait you just outside the terminal. It next line from airport taxis where other private cars can stop.
Hey, thanks for the informative video! I visited Kraków last weekend for a shot stay and it was a pleasure! I strongly recommend visiting the city! I used the train to get to Kraków Główny where my hotel was located. I have a question concerning the tickets. I preordered my ticket via the KOLEO app. Because of flight times and possible delays I booked the last train at 1:15 am in the early morning. As I was faster then I expected I reached the platform at 0:12 am and the one hour earlier train was leaving in 3 minutes. As I was not sure if im allowed to use an earlier train I didn't enter it. The conductor seemed to get a bit nervous due to the train leaving and me hanging around in front of it. So he asked me to get in and I said that my ticket is for the train in one hour. He said that's no problem and that I can enter and so I did. In the train he scanned my ticket and everything seemed fine. As far as I read in the app descriptions a ticket is valid for 4 hours. So I thought that means starting at 1:15 am lasting till 5:15 am. Is it right that you also can go earlier or did the conductor an exception for me? Are you tied to a certain train in general traveling locally? Thanks! 🙂
That is true - ticket for regional trains is valid for a certain time. Even it is a rule I am finding that conductor very nice. I am happy to read that he wanted to do the best for you :)
Yes You have to validate the ticket on the bus, there is an orange machine. The bus will take you there: maps.app.goo.gl/CsQjtSRyMH8V7dAYA from where you see the Wawel Castle. You can take other public transport from there (it is a small hub for busses and trams).
@andrewtoronto4126 they are not going 24/7 but almost. The last train is 1:17 AM than in 3 hours (4:17 AM) there is the first one. But there are also night buses: rozklady.mpk.krakow.pl/?lang=PL&rozklad=20240708&linia=902__2__26
