    I purchased a medical grade, full body red light device from Platinum LED in February 2022. I've been using it daily, 2x a day for for 7 months. The benefits are absolutely amazing. I noticed a change in my skin within just a few treatments. It's amazing for recovery after workouts. It's incredibly relaxing and calming. My cats get their daily treatments and absolutely love it. It calms them and puts them to sleep too! The benefits are so numerous I believe everyone should have one in their home.

      Thank you for the video. Infrared light and red light are in the same movements, but what makes one red light product better than the other? What are we to look for as consumers in terms of the energy or the strength. Not sure if I’m asking this question correctly. Thank you.

    I have been using red-light for 4 years now and I hardly have any lines except when I smile, I soak cotton pads in green tea and place all over my face and leave for 25 minutes. I have a full body panel too and I'm sure it lifts my mood and I sleep better.

I have watched MANY videos as well as read books/articles on red light therapy and this is the clearest, most succinct explanation I have heard to date. I have been using Novothor once a week for 15 minutes each at a local health clinic where I live. My experience with it is the same as what Dr Qian describes. There is an invigorating sense of well being I experience overall with an increase of circulation. I have healthy skin to begin with so it is hard to assess improvements. But if it can maintain collagen levels and a youthful appearance then it is a definite bonus. Only time will tell. I highly recommend Novothor. It is very relaxing.

    I use the mito red light therapy lights and interestingly I've noticed that the red light is helping get rid of the fungus on my toe nails. I was very surprised because I wasn't using it for that purpose. I'm beginning to see pink on my toe nails after years of trying to get rid of the fungus. Another thing I noticed was that I had a wart on my wrist and began to notice that the wart is disappearing. So, if the red light is doing that, there is definitely something happening to the rest of my body. I use the red light to help my hair grow, and have not necessarily noticed a change, but I feel that the skin around my belly is tightening. I have been on red light for about six weeks, so I'm going to keep the daily routine of 10 minutes a day. Something is definitely happening even if it is gradual.

      @@gia-144 I use the mito red light panel that has both: red and near infrared. But, I do want to say that I have also used a vibration pad (the kind you stand on and shakes your whole body. Lol!) The type you get on Amazon. Don't know if that's making a difference.?? I had purchased this exercise gadget a couple of years ago and stopped using it. Then, I watched a video explaining how these can help people with osteoporosis. I don't have that, but I'm 63 and want to keep my bones strong. So, I wonder if using this for 10 minutes then the red light is helping with the belly skin tightening. I don't know for sure, but I'll tell you what, I will keep doing it.

    I have used red light every day for twenty minutes every single day for over a year, and the results are excellent. I wake up around six am, exercise, shower, and then use my red light treatment. According to the manufacturer, you can use it every day because using the home treatment once a week would not make a difference; you might as well not bother. It is almost like going to the gym once a week and expecting to have a toned body; it's simply not going to happen.

    I have used the HAIRMAX brand red light headband for 2 years now. It took six months of consistent use to see results. My dermatologist had recommended for my androgenic alopecia. His office also sells an helmet of I think it’s called I Restore. Do research on all devices. They aren’t made equally. Dr. Xi stated the strength of the light necessary. And check how many bulbs.

      @@herakleiaandreadis1808 I use the HAIRMAX 82 head band. HAIRMAX says it takes as little as 3 mins every other day for that device. But isn’t as quite as powerful as the one my dermatologist sells. So the dermatologist suggested I use it longer. I use it as much as 6 min every other day. I like it because it has combs that part the hair and then the light can get right to your scalp. I started off with their comb because it was less expensive. But when I saw it worked I up graded because I thought I am in this for the long haul. I also started using minoxidil foam. I wanted to try everything possible. I’m considering using an oral medication also. The dermatologist told me using multiple proven modes to increase hair growth is the best approach. I have been diagnosed with androgenic alopecia. Not everything works for every person or on every type of alopecia. For instance if the hair follicles have been scarred and can’t produce hair nothing will make hair grow. Example if say you see a person and you can see their scalp and it is smooth and shiny. no hair will grow out of a follicle because they are let’s say dead. Do your research and don’t just listen to someone trying to sell something. An unbiased scientific opinion with nothing to gain. All the best.

They don't have distribution in European market , so my best choice is probably something from Hairmax. Have you checked your thyroid recently? If your brows are thinning too , most often the thyroid hormone levels are low. Do you wash your hair daily ? I am asking because Minoxidil foam is a bit of a deal breaker 😄for a good hair day for me. If i put the foam at night , the next day my hair are a mess. And oral therapy like Finasteride is something i am thinking also. Thank you for answering me. You helped a lot ! Best wishes for amazing growth 😄🌾🌱🌿🌾

    Very interesting video and I totally agree with you on how Dr Qian helps us understand such a complicated topic in her very clever way of explanation. I have seen many TH-camrs who are not skin of colour, rave about red light mask helping their skin but I am curious if it will help people with skin of colour? I did also see some people with fair skin raising concern about red light causing pigmentations as well. I see that Dr Qian is Asian and skin of colour like myself. Hi Margaret. Red laser is the gold standard for removing age spots but red light should not make skin pigmentation worse, particularly if used within guidelines. If it’s just an anecdotal comment I wouldn’t give that much weight. Red light is a very commonly used therapy so we would be hearing more about it if that was a big issue.

      Hi Lily. Part 2 of my interview has already been recorded but if you have a red light panel then you should follow the manufacturer guidelines on distance as they will vary from product to product depending on whether they use near infrared etc.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've spoken about fat loss linked to clinical skin-tightening treatments a lot on this channel so you might want to take a look at some of those videos specifically.
      That said, I have not seen red light therapy linked with fat loss - those reports usually relate to more intensive treatments like radio frequency and ultrasound which target deeper layers of the skin. If you've seen evidence of fat loss relating to red light do let me know.

    And it doesn’t reach the fat layer of the skin? That is my biggest concern. She says radio frequency or microwaves are safe but they reached my fat pads and I had loss of fat around the eyes and on the sides of my face which was not good. The explanation is supposedly that this dermatologist who did it to me did it for too long and she essentially heated up my skin way too much. I don’t like even talking about it anymore. The red light therapy sounds gentle enough but I want to make 100% sure.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      She’s only talking about light wavelengths here not radio frequency so she is saying red light is believed to be safe when it comes to fat loss. RF most definitely reaches the fat pads and I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had that experience.

    great video with Dr Qian Xu thanks so much fascinating subject, I love my panel it is so healing for muscle fatigue and myalgia I use it foe 3/5 mins each area, but you can have too much less is more overdoing red light therapy can decrease effect and how close you are to the panel regulates the time spent using it, drink water before and after use, a good read for lots of info is The Ultimate Guide to Red Light Therapy by Ari Whitten

      Hi Angela. Dr Qian did mean cms as she was talking about its potential for deep tissue penetration. That would only be possible through some of the more powerful technology currently on the market. For most at-home masks you are talking about mms as you say.

      I think because the warming of our cells will inevitably cause a bit of fluid loss. I would imagine that even after a 20-minute red light session the practitioner would suggest you drink a glass of water to replace any lost fluid.
