believe me I can confirm that after using it for over ten years my Tripollar Stop RF for the face does NOT cause fat loss. I use it twice a month, on the other hand Tripollar Pose for the body does shrink fat cells I am using my Pose at the moment it is making a marked difference to my stomach, but it's not permanent , I would only use at home devices with a background history like Pollogen not cheap copies, lots of research to do before a purchase is best

I look forward to the updates, Clare and the new videos. I have tried an RF device monthly for some time and I only use it for around 4 minutes each area. It does not seem to cause fat loss and helps to give a 'glow' to my skin. I'm experimenting with using my red light device on my face for a few minutes each night. Previously I only used it for aches and pains. It has all the frequencies needed for the skin. An LED mask would be even more convenient! Thanks for sharing - I always take note and pay attention to what you've discovered 🙂

That sounds like a good regime you've got going there, Val. I really like my RF device, too, and I've been using my red light mask much more frequently since my chat with Dr Qian! So glad you're still finding the channel helpful : )

Another excellent video. Thank you Claire! Have been pondering this issue for a long time. I think if there are no definitive longitudinal studies on such at-home devices then they are probably not going to deliver significant, clinically-verifiable results. For the most part, it is a very unregulated industry. However, some therapies such as low level laser therapy can deliver results although the device must emit the red light at a very specific wavelength.

Yes, I agree it seems the industry is not well regulated and it would be good to see more studies. I’ve found my at-home RF device to be very effective so I was keen to find out how safe it is to use longer-term.

Very interesting and helpful. I think the most important takeaway I get from your interview with this doctor is that at-home devices are not at all standardized, meaning one doesn't know if they are getting the amount of ultrasound or electricity in the RF range, etc. that the device claims to offer. It is really caveat emptor and the Wild West!

Glad you found it helpful. There really does need to be much greater regulation of the aesthetics industry. There are so many unknowns and so much money being spent on them!

I thought this was a great video, thank you. I too experiment with antiaging devices here on TH-cam and it is a bit scary. I'm delighted to hear her biggest concerns were efficacy over safety. Whew!

Thanks Mary! Glad you found it reassuring. I still err on the side of caution and use devices less than the maximum recommended amount of time. I was also reassured by Dr Qian's comments though : )

I tried BBL skin treatments a few times and I definitely had fat loss..my face seem to be the same for quite awhile ..then when i started these treatments my face changed.. i think at home tteatments might be safer for me Great Video .

got a red light therapy lamp. do I need goggles to protect eyes? It is 660nm and 850 nm near infrared i can switch the from the 660nm red therapy to the 850nm near infrared and its 54W do i need to use eye protection?. One of these red lights heat up and I haven't received the lamp yet so I done even know which red light to use for hair growth and anti age are the red light that work for hair growth the same one thats used for the skin too? And there's no directions for it and how far away I need to put the lamp from my Scalp and face i see pics advertised with ppl sitting under the lamp a few feet away front and back of the body.. but nothing shows how long these ppl are laying or sitting under it for.

Hi. I can’t say I’m an expert in all things red light - I can only really speak of the devices I’ve tried. All I would say is to read and follow the instructions on the lamp carefully. The makers are best placed to advise on safety and you can email them or send them a message on social media to put your questions to them. Hope the lamp works out for you.
