I am starting to regret putting timestamps on these videos. I would like to remind everyone, that I talk about PvE pretty much exclusively. The disclaimer right at the start (0:17) isn't just there for decoration. Not gonna complain about the engagement, so if you want to talk about PvP & WvW have fun. Just know that I have 0 things to comment on for those and they're not addressed for a reason.
For warrior it does very few things, since warrior is like.. the only class that got 2 off hand weapons, in 3 expansions... the only relevant thing is happening with the daggers... Weapon mastery is basically a mechanic that boosts every class except warrior xD
I love these videos - but the Weapon mastery changes have been bad news for me. As I main Thief AND Warrior - I'm thankful for videos like these because it's a clear sign that I should start to branch out. Great Video! Keep it up!
going from 1-80 on a guardian using exclusivly the longbow should prove to be entertaining Revnant having shortbow and greatsword sounds really strong and fun a mix of power and condi there more excited about the future prospects of staff for warrior but dagger/torch and dagger/pistol sounds fun to go from 1-80 with~
since some classes get two weapons with soto (necro getting main hand sword and off hand sword, ranger same with mace and guardian with pistol) i dont understand why they didnt combo scepter with focus for revenant (i also wanted to see scepter+focus for ranger). everyone who can use focus can use it baseline btw, no elite spec ever gave focus, such an underused weapon (also cosmetic-wise)
Hizen makes pure Open World (and maybe competetive) builds and is very good at hyping them up. There's a reason I've opened all of these with some variant of "I'm focusing on the group content, because you can make anything work in Open world." Him and I are coming at this from two very different angles with two very different goals in mind
@@MarenAlu this!sadly many people fell into this "trap" including my self when i first playing this game,couple days a go i train some new player on fractal,and he felt like he was "left behind" in terms of performance than the others,since he was using hizen herald build,told him right away as some one who were in his potition that build is "exotic" build that is best to build that after you already establish player that have everything needed and then use it when you want to do "sketchy" stuff solo in open world ,dude then felt sad after i told him this because he have to farm gear again to do gruop content,which i 100% can relate because i was in his potition.
Dagger/Pistol will probably dominate all power warrior specs in Pvp. Pistol 4 grants aegis and is a movement skill so synergize well with discipline in ignoring movement imparing effects. Pistol 5 isn't as much damage as axe 5, but also counts as a movement skill and doesn't lock you into the spin to win animation to do all the damage. Dagger is a better damage/cc weapon than mace, the boon strip will help berserker in one on one fights and the cc would help bladesworn pricking stability when they spec into defense. Dagger/Dagger probably won't be a troll pick for Longbow berserker in wvw. Extra boon strip is always good and you can at least move when using Dagger 5, unlike 100 blades. Plus barrier and projectile reflect.
At 6:36 where you talked about Greatsword on Rev, you didn't mention how the other classes having greatsword will basically make the Vindicator less viable and completely replaced by the other options. I really hope that fix that problem because greatsword was honestly the ONLY reason to pick up Vind, now greatsword ends up having way better synergy with the other specs than with the dodge mechanic of Vind does sadly since they nerfed the damage of it when they added 2 dodges to Vind.
Well this video is about the new stuff after all, not the old. And it sounds a bit defeatist to me. Vin still has a bunch of strong Power Traits to work with and even if it falls behind the other two then that's just a small numbers adjustment away from catching back up, no big deal really.

I thought about that too, but I think for most of them I don't have enough info to go off to actually make that interesting

Condi vindicator is amazing tho, even Hizen agrees.

Highly doubt, but it's gonna be interesting seeing pistol while also being able to use your normal bursts, like a good synergy with SW F1 and pistol 5
