- I always endeavor to either avoid painting rooms, or make it easier to do, so I bought this Wagner Smart Sidekick at the orange home improvement store for $80...was it worth it!?

same here, hate painting, don't know why, I think it's the clean-up
First time I've seen any of your videos. How do you compare to a Wagner smart roller?? Better? Worse? What about using this on a textured(not popcorn) ceiling? We'll be painting about a 1,300 sq ft home in the next month. Trying to make it the easiest, most economical, and fun way we can. Thanks,
@Butler_Buck I'd say if you are at the stage and ready to paint the entire room at once it's great. Only downside would be the cleaning necessary between applications if you are doing multiple different colors. Just be mindful you WILL have to clean thoroughly after every use or at least before switching colors. But it does in fact make it a less tedious job AS you are painting.
Just as i thot bout it just have a transparent paint box
Could you comment on the clean-up; esp the long feeder hose...It seems for a small job, ie, one Wall, that the cleanup time is too much...???
The clean up is actually pretty easy. You put the feed hose in a bucket of water and or cleaner depending on the paint type and run it through the machine with the roller off and let the wand feed into an eappropriate.
Repeat until the waste water runs clean. Then dispose of appropriatey.
As far as for small projects I would NOT recommend. Due to the long feeder hose and the amount of paint that would go to waste during cleaning it wouldn't be the most efficient product. For small projects I would probably suggest some sort of spray system that has a short hose and can utilize small containers.
I hope that helps!!
You didn't show us how much paint you used, and was it difficult to clean out the hose? Also, how many times have you used it since you bought it?
@lakeshavallejo7889 cleaning the hose was easy . One 5 gallon pick up with soapy water into an empty 5 gallon and dispose. And I used about a 1/2 gallon.
