      @Butler_Buck I'd say if you are at the stage and ready to paint the entire room at once it's great. Only downside would be the cleaning necessary between applications if you are doing multiple different colors. Just be mindful you WILL have to clean thoroughly after every use or at least before switching colors. But it does in fact make it a less tedious job AS you are painting.

      @@newyankeedoesit I just found your channel while looking at legends. I know years ago, in florida they allowed home built vehicles to be registered. I did 3 motorcycles in my life. The key was showing all your purchases parts and materials receipts. No matter of date. Then you fill out a form, you transport it to a DMV where a state officer will inspect and review your documents and then go inspect your vehicle. A mirror, tail lights, head lights , car needs a windshield, tires ,rims brake, systems. A good Idea to look is to get a check list of vehicle inspections. And make sure everything is DOT approved. So, when the officer checks it out and they see it's safe, they will attach the Vin a sticker, they'll print you a title for special construction vehicle. And you pay the fees. Are about $200 $85 for the title and then you have a tag and inspections fee. Now once you get a title, you go buy insurance, then go back in the Dmv and they will register it /Tag for you. So prepare to be there a day or two. Once this is all done, it's title for life and you can then register it anywhere you like. You have to be a florida resident or know someone that is/ or willing strawman. You can do this two ways, one find someone willing to help you do this in florida for a fee $ or become a resident. The resident will allow you to get a driver's license here, tax Domicile, vote and register vehicles and vessels. And worth the $175 If you're interested in going this route and to know how, I'll explain. Nice car and I'll be registering mine when I finish it. Keep up the great channel.

    Could you comment on the clean-up; esp the long feeder hose...It seems for a small job, ie, one Wall, that the cleanup time is too much...???

    • @newyankeedoesit
      @newyankeedoesit 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The clean up is actually pretty easy. You put the feed hose in a bucket of water and or cleaner depending on the paint type and run it through the machine with the roller off and let the wand feed into an eappropriate. Repeat until the waste water runs clean. Then dispose of appropriatey. As far as for small projects I would NOT recommend. Due to the long feeder hose and the amount of paint that would go to waste during cleaning it wouldn't be the most efficient product. For small projects I would probably suggest some sort of spray system that has a short hose and can utilize small containers. I hope that helps!!

    My 2 cents. The rattle can bedliner is garbage. All of it. BUT if I was to use it I'd spray a light coat, sprinkle some grit or sand on it then top coat it. The purpose of bedliner is 2 fold. Protect the surface and have a rough texture and canned bedliner doesn't have the texture.

      @newyankeedoesit I know ea h state is different in what can be "street legal". I'd wonder how you could pass this off as SL to the state/DMV..... They have motorcycle engines....wonder if you could somehow use a bike VIN and title to get it registered.

  • @murraymadness4674
    @murraymadness4674 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have the same 37 Chevy body and plan to make it a street car...but not using the racecar drivetrain/chassis. You do know it has no reverse gear right? I'd also add the sequential gearing will be a pain on the street. The wheels stick out so they will throw off debris onto itself and others and will not be street legal to pass an inspection, you need to think about that from the beginning. My plan is to widen the car to fit two people and make it longer also in back and make it a 'panel truck' with solid window in back. The front hood and grill I got with it is actually a 34 Ford, I was looking to borrow a 37 hood to make a copy, but I will likely just make a custom grill for it anyway, not go with the 37 one. Look forward to seeing your progress.

    • @newyankeedoesit
      @newyankeedoesit 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I am aware of the no reverse gear. As it wouldn't have been a daily it wasn't that big of a deal. Also has no parking brake either. Plenty have been made street legal so as far as the tires that's up to the region inspecting it or the cops being cool about it or not. Best of luck with yours.

      @@newyankeedoesit In California the CHP has to inspect a 'homemade' car, which this one would be, and it has to follow all the rules, horn, windsheild wiper, parking and headlights done correct, etc. and fenders. If you can find an 30's car with a title, just call it that and no inspections. Or take off your legal fenders once it passes. Back in the day my V8 had to have a stock air cleaner to pass for a 1961 Chevy, so I borrowed on and had to remove the hood so it fit, looked totally silly, but then it passed.

    For wiring E-Z kit includes fuse box, turn signal connector, ignition switch and headlight switch. For headlights fender mount like 40 chevy or 47-54 chevy truck, with park light on top. Headlight bulbs with turn signal in bottom. For tail lights I like 39 ford ,led lenses are flat but must be glued on. Wiper left only boat. Stop light switch, ford still used a pressure switch in the 60's. Speedo, electric can read off drive shaft. Tach can work on 4 cylinders. What about reverse? Look in Speedway Motors, or Yogi's for ideas.
