    No apologies needed that was a great rundown, learning as we go, I was only thinking myself as I've been watching you build a while now, most of it learn as you go, so the troubles your running into mate helps heaps with our troubleshooting later, so never think a video is unsuccessful my man or lacking content, cause they never do. I got 200 acres at disposal for solar mining and a 2 story new empty house, fly over and let's do this thing lmao ;) j/k ....but you can imagine, I have all this in anticipation, not in capital so starting small. Rambling on again, great start to the day great vid, rock on

    I'd love to know the wiring. I have a little education in solar but almost zero experience. I believe you have two parallel lines of 12 volt panels (24 volt system). You might think about a higher voltage system. Each line is only as strong as the weakest link, so if a panel gets blocked or shaded, the other panels' energy production in the same line are affected as well. If you had a higher voltage system, you would have fewer panels in each parallel line. Essentially, if one panel drops production, fewer panels are also affected.

    • @ChumpChangeXD
      @ChumpChangeXD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So my system is 24v and I have 4 x 100w panels, 24 Volts each equaling 80+ volts per parallel string. I am learning as I go so mistakes will be made I’m sure! Lol tomorrow’s video is adding 4 more panels to my system

    • @derek2593
      @derek2593 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ChumpChangeXD maybe you have a higher voltage system. Not sure your terms are accurate. Parallel panels would be compounding amperage, not voltage. But, if you misspoke and they are 80 plus volts per line (so, in series, with each line in parallel to the other lines), you are in better shape than I thought. That would be a high voltage system.

    • @derek2593
      @derek2593 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ChumpChangeXD , each parallel line can only produce as much as the weakest panel, so if one gets blocked, all panels in the line reduce production accordingly.
      However, if the lines of panels are in series, with each line in parallel, if one panel goes out, you merely lose the production from one panel, however each parallel line will reduce production to equal the degraded line production. So, essentially, you would lose a panel in each parallel line, just cuz one panel went out.

    • @derek2593
      @derek2593 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could be wrong.... You're the one with practical applications. But, that was how I understood it when it was taught to me. Like I said... Almost zero practical application experience. I really hope it helps though.

      Dude that’s awesome! I am trying to figure out what’s going on with my set up currently I got it working last night for most of the night and then it did the same thing to me so I am assuming one of my batteries are at fault here I’m going to purchase two more and see if that will solve my issue; having four hooked up instead of two but we will have to see! Appreciate your support!

    I have the same unit running Some Mini box miners - you want to set setting 21 point back to utility probably around 40 % discharge of battery bank - or it will shutoff in the middle of the night do to self consumption of the inverter … also check your pv Voc . It says it can handle 145 and run at 115 but - at 115 volts it shuts off .. so I had to reconfigure the solar strings to lower the voltage ,to keep it from kicking off charge controller ..

      Dude I would LOVE to talk to you in my discord. I have been checking in messing around with the settings all day on number 21 I’m not sure how to set it as you’re saying I put it to 24.0v that correct?

    • @ChumpChangeXD
      @ChumpChangeXD  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also my power coming in from the panels is around 80v

    • @erockduf9974
      @erockduf9974 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You probably have to switch it back to utility power before it gets to 24 volts probably 24.7 . The reason you can’t find percentage it’s only available if you’re using eg4 battery with communication ... I also would set the charging to only solar - I found if you have a heavy load on it ,and when it switches over it kicks off . .
      The voltage u have coming in from panels is good .

      @@ChumpChangeXD yeah. Have you checked out the battery stacks? A guy I talked to uses 6 batteries and runs a 2kwh farm constant with it. It’s pricy but man being off grid is nice. Run roughly 10kwh for my farm. So battery power will be expensive. And it has a shelf life. That’s the thing that worries me. I get a year on and batteries are losing power
