But the outlet says 104w.
That is 90w for the miner AND 14w in efficiency loss for your power transformer.
Your power transformer has a 86% efficiency and is wasting into heat and other losses 14w..
A tip is to maybe use a power transformer that uses GaN technology that has less losses.👍

Thanks for the in-depth review of this. Just ordered two of these after your review. I have Dell 165w power supplies on hand and will post what the speeds and temps are when this arrives. It's not cost effective for me to run any of my miners due to my power costs but since I have to run a space heater anyway to heat my basement, this solves two issues, warmth and mining. Thanks for the awesome reviews and keep them coming.

After the halving them 0.30¢ per day ($109.50 per year) will turn into an easy 0.15¢ per day ($54.75) 😬
What if you hooked this up to a Kano or NiceHash etc. to generically mine 256. Would the BTC reward you receive also be halved in that scenario?

I'm not getting the economics of this yet. I'm obviously overlooking something. If you make $.40 a day x 30 = $120 a month x 12 = $1,440 a year. But you power use is say... 140w x 24 hours, x 30 days = 100800w, x or 100KW. In CA that's about $.30 a kw, or $33.5 a month x 12 = $405. So, you clear roughly $1k a year if you have no added costs or maintenance? Is that why you bought 7 more - to make it generate 7K a year?

These will be great next winter. I won't have to bring in a jPro from the garage to heat the house and tick everyone off with noise. I hope by then they have a 2nd gen with even better specs. Everyone will have to do better now in the light hash fight.
This has completely changed the game for low wattage low cost solo miners! You can get 5 of these for the same cost as a Futurebit Apollo.
My opinion: any 120V profitable miner is great to get new home miners into the game. The price of these are great, we'll see if they are still profitable after the halving though.
