  • A pride of lionesses reigns supreme on the banks of a river in Tanzania. They are merciless hunters, unrivalled in their fearlessness and strength. These killers are feared by all the local wildlife.
But for the past few years, this region has been hit by drought, and a dam being constructed upstream has dried up the river’s flow. Whereas prey was once abundant, it has now fled the area, and the lionesses are struggling for survival. They resort to attacking the giraffes for food.

How can you miss out the BEST part of the action which is the actual take down then suddenly cut to the lions feeding. Great footage but the cameraman FAILED to film the best part.........

One moment, the male giraffe thinks he going to get lucky, the next - he’s being devoured by lions. Brutal nature!

The part where they brought the giraffe is always missing.
What dirty shenanigans are going on in these documentaries.

Sad for the other giraffe. You search endlessly for the love of your life and then when you finally meet them, they get eaten by a pack of lions. Typical.

You know that way big cats sit half down with their front legs straight out flat on the ground, the Trafalger Square lion pose? I think they do that because their legs can pick up vibrations from potential prey walking by and precisely locate them at night. I realised this watching a wildlife video which was filmed in infra red at night and the wildlife narrator pointed out an antelope with a white hot patch on it’s rear which they said was a muscle injury and then to their astonishment the lions singled that antelope out and caught it and they said the lions must have heard it limping but I think they felt it limping. By extension if this is true then big cats will know when their captured prey has died from the stopping of a heartbeat. It’s scientifically accepted that elephants communicate over long distances using infra sound picked up by their legs so it’s certainly possible.
