  • On the edges of the Rift Valley in Tanzania, pressure from both climate change and human activity is reducing the land left for wild animals at an alarming rate.
The banks of the Riva Ruaha are the last remaining watering place and a meeting point for all species. It is an Eden under threat where prey and predator alike can be found: Elephants, lions, baboons, buffalo, and antelope must all learn to live together in this endangered environment that has become their last refuge.
Will they kill one another, slowly wiping themselves out, or on the contrary, adapt to this challenging situation?

Don't know why you were surprised that the leopard ran away from the baboons? That's very common, down to the fact that leopards are solitary cats so they just can't afford to get injured. If they're injured and can't hunt then they'll starve to death. The baboons are very strong with razor sharp teeth and claws and they've strenth in numbers. Individually the leopard will easily kill one monkey, but with dozens of em coming at you from every angle the leopard's in trouble.
This is the same for most solitary predators who can't afford to get injured, the odd one out is the honey badger. This bravery can be the badgers biggest downfall, when leopards, lions, hyenas etc actually turn round and seriously fight the badger 99.9% they win. Often the badgers scare off the larger predator down to their sheer viciousness and tenacity BUT like i said when thelarge predator actually turns round and fights back then the honey badger losses,it may have balls the size of boulders but he's just not as big and strong as a lion or hyena or leopard etc

I just watched a film about a family in South Africa running a private camp. The elephants break into the bathroom windows to drink the toilet water. They drain the tanks. Drain the pool . Some show up injured and need medical care and they cant help under law because it’s interfering with wildlife unless you are a designated orphanage. These people’s property has been destroyed but they take everything they can to get them water on their own dollars made from the camp. Their on their own but al long as we have people like that in this world they have a chance at another possible year of life. Drought is nothing new to Africa with all the orphanages and sanctuaries I don’t think it enough. We are down to 300,000 in Africa. I think it’s way less for India or even pigmy elephant . Cheetah 🐆 not lepard what gets me if it's protected area why isn't it supplied with water quite clearly it's not protected and the people are protected are allowing the poachers 100% obvious because they allow it to carry on where there's a profit the protectors look the other way allow the Poachers to do their evil nasty thing.if there was no profit in ivory the animals would be Perfectly safe everybody knows. that
