Actually, I've seen one copy with an insert. It's hard to tell if it should have one or not, I feel like my battered copy when I was younger did. Again I'll just have to look for more information haha
I can confirm you that those boxes came with an insert, however it was a smaller one which just occuped 1/3 of the box. This insert was not too useful, it only served as housing for the cards, dice and character sheets. The rest of components were intended to be placed outside the insert.
Ah thankyou! Yes I think the box came with the same insert then as the original game, but the original box was much shallower so the insert plus board would have been a nice fit, this box being deeper leaves much more empty space inside. I can at least look around for one or mention the insert in the next video 👍
I have two copies of this one, one for playing and an ‘unpunched, on sprue’ copy.. mine doesn’t have the insert either but I did notice the door stands are shallower than the other versions
QUESTION TO YA'LL PRORFFESIONALS.......if i get this new HQ advanced edition, is there any point to get the original still, or does this have everything and is just a remake or whatever??? thx!!!
This HQ advanced quest is the 1990 release and contains everything from the original 1989 release, plus an extra quest book and a dozen men at arms. There's a few slight rules differences and one quest, but otherwise get this and no need for the original

Yes the back is different to the original box. It actually took me three videos to include it (although it pans over parts of it rather than the whole image) but the final chapter of my US to UK comparison video has some looks at the box art.
