At some point I would get around to doing a video of the rules, although I admit that's probably fairly far off at the minute. And the rules are set up slightly different with the almost choose your own adventure style. I wonder if they already exist online somewhere? I'll have to poke around

It's a fairly short game which I think mimics the actuaky video game, and just chaotic! The plus side is a splash of pink and some massive white eyes and the minis are basically already painted haha so shouldn't take too long to get then all done!

I know that they've been keeping the artwork consistent for each adventure. Which helps identify that at a glance even if the issues inside it all look the same

A bit of a mix really, some quests are two parts and so link together. Most of them could be played as one-shots as all that link them are some NPC characters that can lead as hooks for the adventure. So the first 11 take place in Phandalin. The next few are on route to Neverwinter and so form a travelling quest. So far in Neverwinter they've linked more, as previous quest NPCs have started giving information, but there's still several that could just be one-shots, although this issue is the first half of a two-part encounter

No problem. I should be finishing the second two part adventure this week. Then it's onto adventure 3 which takes place on the high seas, from what little ove seen ahead they're to doing with ocean travel, so possibly they can all be various one-shots linked by boat travel, although I'm sure I saw something about a 7-part encounter. Exciting stuff

That would make life much easier! Although there could be some left over empty space, I'm not sure if the boxes are the same sizes

Haha thanks, glad it's helpful. And it's just a start, there is someone on a project translating and creating them all as English images, they stuck them on sticker paper then onto duplicate components. Hope you get to enjoy playing it!

I haven't seen the final product yet, bur user TheKazoo on BGG has made much better translation images to use. I guess there's several different ways to do stickers depending on your equipment and technical expertise. I've seen people print onto whole sheets and use a cricut to make stickers on the shape they want. There's also the option to print on label paper and trim down to size if needed.

@@franksiegames since you've gotten to see the translated rules in detail, I'm curious about a few things. first of all the green level chips, how do they interact with evolutions? like if you have a leveled up Rhyhorn and then catch a Rhydon do they transfer over to the new Rhydon or nah? and also the 16 new wild Pokémon chips that were introduced, do they get included in evolution bonuses like normal? like can flying/surfing Pikachu still grant an evolution bonus to Raichu? or dancing Clefairy with Clefable? or the raging Gyarados from Magikarp?

Good questions, none of these are directly answered in the rules as far as I can tell (it's a very tiny pamphlet aha) But with evolutions your Pokemon don't actually physically evolve, you merely own the entire line which gives you the bonus, I've reas the original game rules for answering that, especially because adding team rocket there'll be plenty more pokemon chip movements between the players. So for your example your Rhyhorn stays levelled up while your Rhydon gains the evolution bonus as long as you possess both chips. For the new Pokemon any can count as long as they are the correct family line, you just happen to have a special anime related one, a surfing pikachu is still a pikachu after all, it's different to say the TCG whete special evolution cards state they only evolve from certain special base pokemon. Hope that answers your questions:) (Just don't ask what happens if you have both Magikarp and both Gyarados chips haha 1😅)

Hopefully you're able to read them well enough :) I'll probably be scanning them in at some point to do full videos, definitely to get the maps for making visual playthroughs. But thats some time off yet haha

Yea it's an opt out letter, so unless I choose not to they'll send it. Similar to the binders where you need to opt out if you don't want to collect them during the run

Everything you see in the videos has all come from the magazine, so that dice tray contains every dice gift up to issue 19 :) And yes blue dice gone, however I do see a pattern of similarities between original dice in red and these in blue, and I know there's a few green too

So I've had a quick scan, technically it's possible but most of the cards won't make sense. The time cards won't match up with the video for instance, and some of the other cards will be off, such as in the second video players can earn the Dirtbag title, and the Chosen One title wouldn't be in play. You could probably adapt it and just play as it is with a different video for variety, but its not really the same experience

😂😂😂 it's never the colour that's the problem, it's the amount I get!! I think it's the look I like, and in the back of my mind I'm just thinking about those similar green ones that I've got coming up.... :)

So as I don't have the core books I can't directly answer that. But I can say everything so far looks like it could be covered in the core books.I think the Genesai stated it came from a source book, and there have been a couple of other parts where more source books have been mentioned.(The original trial issue said that an optional rule from a different book was used on a character, I can't remember now, and the Bard has access to a spell that needs a rule from a different source book to use, I researched that for the error video.but can't remember again off the top.of my head. I do have a list somewhere of all the sources books mentioned so far. I will say the adventures are probably worth the magazine, and they all have a standard 6 page limit so could be useful thrown into campaigns or just as one shots. But if you're not a fan of dice then thr price might not be worth it

@@franksiegames Right. Interesting... I know that there were some things that were taken straight off of the core books. The chase complication tables on issue #30 came from the DMG. I don't know how much more (that has been published so far) came from those books. But if there's stuff from supplements plus an adventure, plus some dice, then that might make those worth the cover price.

It would be pretty cool if they did! If you look at the Marvel version there were some villains who didn't (or hadn't at the time) feature on the screen. So it's definitely possible. Although I feel like it was easier for Marvel with how based in the Comics everything is, whereas the majority of Star Wars viewed by the masses will be the movies, and possibly animated series

It was fairly pricey but ended up being a gift basically so just means no more gifts for a while haha. But I think it ended up being around 25ish posted from Europe, then around an extra 60ish to get cleared from customs

PD: Did you by chance corroborated what is the maximum clip plus 1 that you can attach to a pokemon chip? By watching the image in the rules I think is 12 but not sure.

PD 2: About passing onto other players the team rocket piece... Please confirm if I understood it well or if you understand it in other way.. If you chase another player and you pass by them he receives the team rocket. If you pass by two players you give team rocket to the first you pass by... But if you land in a space and another player is there is that player who receives team rocket even if you passed by another players along the way. Thanks!

Haha well good luck with the translations! The card is the group of Gyarados' Dragon Rage sends the current player back to the starting town. It's very similar to the end of the SS Anne episode in the TV series

You're welcome! I realise there were multiple parts to your comment! Yea 12 is the maximum number of clips that will fit on one chip if you put them all on and push them together. With the team rocket the summary of rules for me are basically the first player thay you move past or land on takes Team Rocket from you, unless you've moved with the Fly card. And if you pass on Team Rocket then you move back 6 spaces. However, it leaves a bit of ambiguity there so I'll leave you to play it as you feel works :)

Yea I never got into Chaos in the Old World so no chance of that now, especially the expansion. But I picked up all the bits for this and Space Hulk DA from a local shop years ago before the prices went crazy aha

As far as I know it should be mostly backwards compatible, so I reckon they'll probably finish all the rules they want then bad the later issues with changes to update it

Yea, fairly useful DM wise without adding too many new rules to learn. The dice are a nice shade but they need more than just that these days to save them from the rest haha

Hello there, I do have some videos planned for the future but I am always behind in my schedule from work and life aha. I've got an actual Japanese copy which I can mix the set in with, although I may just homemake cards to fit in with the English version rather than teach my friends Japanese! With the instructions I'm fairly sure BGG has rules against posting game instructions without the creators permissions, and unfortunately I'm not sure I'd be able to get those any time soon!

Oh yea for sure, I know some people who collect it for their children and that seems to be the best way, the DM and character creation sections might be some good parts even for people who have played before. I think it helps too that they're always using the online Beyond system, so they won't walk you step by step through every bit your character needs and instead they can focus on the roleplaying aspect of it

I have the same as you do. The 11th Skill card not listed on the character sheets being Pugilist, and also the Moralistic weakness card. I had a quick scan over all the other cards and couldn't see any mention of these two, nor have I seen anything on the KS page. I might have to do a little digging

Maybe they decided to gift us with a bonus skill card. 😄

Originally there were, they had to change them though, I think they couldn't get the backs to match (which makes sense considering all the other foil cards are foiled both sides). They swapped them out for two different one. I've just gone back through to check, update 49, they added Blasphemy and Defragment. It's a shame as I would've loved a foil Snecko Eye, but at the same time I don't have sleeves for my relics so I imagine I'd ruin it fast!
