Qualtrics Embedded Data URL Tracking - How To Video

It is very simple to set up Qualtrics to track unique information from a single, generic anonymous survey link! This tutorial is for my students so they can easily track the performance & effort contribution of one another during their group project ("Hey, I collected 100 responses, and you only have 3? What gives?"), but it is also useful for a wide variety of other applications.

Hi Dr Baker, How can we transfer participants' ID to another website ( they will be redirected to another website once they are done with Qualtrics survey for more survey questions but I wanted to transfer the same ID to that external website).

Hi Dr. Baker, I am playing around with Qualtrics based on this video tutorial and have sent out anonymised test links with different names to some friends. However, on some completed surveys there is no 'embedded data' or name of the specific link visible. Instead I am seeing approximate geographical locations. I am just wondering if you might know what i am doing wrong? Thanks so much!

It sounds like an intermittent issue, if I understand correctly (meaning the embedded fields are *sometimes* at least correctly working). If so, that's a tough one... maybe people are trimming the hyperlink (thus no embedded data info), maybe the link was distributed incorrectly. Maybe people have browser extensions or are receiving the link via some sort of link shortened that's stripping the embedded info. This sort of intermittent issue is a tough one to solve, unfortunately. You might have also placed some invalid text inside the variable field of your embedded link, so it simply won't be passed into the stored data field.

Qualtrics *can* have its results automatically exported to other systems, but that's entirely outside my wheel house, sorry!

Hi Pragati, I'm not sure I fully understand your question, would you mind rephrasing? It is possible to have MULTIPLE embedded data attributes stored in Qualtrics (just keep adding onto the hyperlink)
