Thank you! I was following the instructions on the website, but it was better to follow your tutorial. I am unable to redirect you to Prolific at the end of the survey. It reads, "Redirect to a URL ... (Unavailable for your brand)." I'll have to pay for an account.
Correct. In theory, it should work like that. However, always run a pilot study to make sure it works, and you can always do both for redundancy/backup.
Thank you, very helpful. I'm wondering why you would need to have a separate question to ask for the ID if Qualtrics automatically gathers the ID from the URL anyway?
Having a separate question would make it show up alongside your other response questions. This isn’t required, but it’s just a step to ensure that the ID is correctly captured.
I can make another video, but basics are answering most if not all questions, passing attention checks, checking time spent on answering questions, etc.
Hi Dr. Griffin, thank you so much for such an informative video! It will surely help me with launching my study for my dissertation. I just sent you an e-mail about the same comment, but I wonder what to do about participants who fail attention/manipulation checks? Would you recommend I exclude them from data analyses? Pay them if they complete the survey? End the survey for them? Any guidance would be appreciated, thank you!
Hey Brandon, I have a question. For my Master's I want to do a survey with Qualtrics. I am planning to ask friends and family to fill in the survey since they fall into the target group. However, I am also planning to post my survey on Prolific to boost the response rate. My friends and family do not have a Prolific ID which will automatically be filled in. Could this lead to problems with recording of data? Thanks!
Thank you for this video. It was really helpful!
Thank you!! so SO helpful to watch someone do this in real time!
Awesome! Thanks for the video mate!!!!
Thank you! That is exactly what I've been looking for.
Thank you, so helpful!

Thank you! So, we don't need to have a separate question in Qualtrics that gives them a completion code, since the redirect will take them to one?

Thank you! Very helpful! Have you recorded another video on pre-screening data? What are the criteria that you use to reject submissions?

I love you. You saved my life.
Thank you very much, very useful for me!

I don’t think so. The ID field would just be blank for them.
@@BrandonPhD Thank you for the reply! I created a branch for Prolific users and one for non Prolific users. I think this works fine too. :)
