Was it worth buying? I have been considering the kit vs machining my own flat tops.. one concern is the stops need to function so I don't put my ujoints at too much angle. Saw you mention that same thing.. supposedly the knuckles in the kit have 3/8" more material at the flat top to clear SOA leaf springs. Did you have any issues?
Yes still worth it. I don’t know what year or parts I had to begin with. Who knows. If I knew then what I know now, I’d reuse my original knuckles and not have to grind to fit anything. I used the new knuckles because mine were rough and I’m sure bent from me hammering them off. I’ve been driving and off roading w my kit for a while. Works great
So you recommend just reusing the old knuckle and drilling the holes yourself? I saw this kit on ebay as well and i thought about buying it.
Depends. My knuckles were pretty beat and I pounded on them w sledge to get the old ball joints out.
This is a really nice kit.
