Also interesting to me that Jess is very sure/precise in her selections whereas Jamie likes to play around more with vocabulary. I think it shows different thought processes in addition to different dialects.
I'm currently in therapy in the process for strong depersonalization symptoms. There's a chance I have DID or OSDD-1b but it's uncertain at the time. I have a part that's English but the body is American and has never been to the UK.
Same here. I'm British but the body has never been. I think it's because we grew up on British media like Harry Potter (read in a British accent) and doctor who
I don't personally have DID, but I am in a relationship with a system that does and I just wanted to share a little. We actually discovered the system together a few months after we started dating. It's been an experience for the both of us as we all learn things about each other and we've worked our way through a lot and for the most part discovered the reason for each alters first appearance and trauma. I don't want to go into to many details since it's not my story to tell. But I wanted you all to know that they found your channel shortly after the realization of the system and what it is they had. While I haven't seen a lot of your videos they will sometimes share some with me (including this one) and it's been a big help that has told me that even after coming into all of this blind and before having meet their system (not even having heard of DID before and this actually being my first ever actual relationship) it's been really heartwarming to me that I've actually been helping them and not hurting them (as is a constant fear of mine) through this and figuring out where their place is and that each of them do matter. While they'll likely never comment on one of your videos I want to say from both the system and me. Thank you for what you do to show that alters in a system are just as human as the human they are a part of. Also sorry for the run on sentences, I've never been good at writing.
I have a DID videos series and it is all about the partner who lives with a DID person. My partner tries to help others to understand and accept and love a DID person. He would be great for you to learn from. Our videos are called Sparrowisms www.TH-cam.com/c/Sparrowisms. It is a great informative series for the singlets
Yooo, are u still uploading yt vids? I came across this comment and checked out ur vids and it seems like u never got a new pc, i wouldve loved to get a response if ur still uploading somewhere
I found this very fascinating actually. I'm an alter in an American System, and we have one alter who is English, specifically he is from Lancaster, but the body has never been out of the US and we are all baffled as to why Alan is English when the rest of us are American. What's more, we are a mix of overt and covert. We usually chose to hide when one of us comes out, but if we are alone and in a safe environment we will just be us. We find your videos to be very helpful in our own learning process when it comes to DID, the host in particular has found a lot of comfort in it. Thank you.
We really relate to this. We're quite overt when comfortable and around our SO but covert when in an unsafe place. For us though, trying to be covert usually just pushes the host forward bc we're actually overt. -Kyle
We have a British host alter who is from Brighton and we are American. We also have a swedish/Italian alter. I find it so interesting how our accents can be so different.
For us I’m genuinely a big believer that DID is logical and that our experiences moulded the need for different parts to be in their different ways 😊 voices included!
Love Jamie. “Don’t know what Jess says, probably something inspiring, take care 😉” very interesting to know that not every system has different accents. Sending best wishes to you all x
Though I might share this, cause why not: Not a system, but I am Autistic. As a result of Autism I was slow in learning to talk. The vast majority of media I consumed as a child was American (Disney, FRIENDS, etc) *esspecially* comedy, which I'll circle back to. Because of this, while still pretty much having a Southern English accent, I was asked countless times over the years if I was American. Since I'd learnt to talk listening to a general American accent, I'd picked up a lot of the dialect. People would correct me for saying words 'wrong' when I'd only heard them with an American accent and not an English accent. I.E plausible. I once said "Pl-AH-sible" in class instead of "pl-OR-sible" and was told off by literally everyone, including the teacher. Circling back to my taste in genre: Comedy, this has played a massive part in how I speak. The best way to explain it is I talk like I'm in a comedy show. These days (I'm now in my early 20s) the American accent is pretty much gone, but the speech pattern is still heavily influenced by stand-up. It doesn't translate to formal stuff like this, but listening to me IRL is telling.
(As far as I'm aware) I don't have autism but had a similar thing with accents growing up, I'm Scottish but had a very English/American accent when I was young. When I got to secondary school I started speaking broad Scots (probably not to stand out) I have quite a neutral accent now but it changes depending who I'm speaking to. If I speak to someone from home I snap back into the accent but I've had americans, australians and Irish people all ask me if I'm from their countries. It can be quite embarrassing cause I don't want it to seem like I'm taking the piss or anything
I experience this lots as an autistic system!! Before our system developed (our perhaps before we realised we are a system I’m unsure) up until 5 we spoke in a very British accent (we’re Australian but watched a lot of British shows). But now there are many of us with British accents! Probably from those sorts of experiences growing up! Sorry if the wording is bad I’m not good at it
My best friend was recently diagnosed with DID and I wanted to say, your videos have given me the information and insight to help support her and love all her parts, without these videos that remove the stigma and because of jess’s information because of her line of work in mental health, I don’t know how I would of responded to her. It’s hard to support her, because I don’t just look after her, but her little ones too and they all have different needs. But these videos are so so so helpful thank you so much
I also have DID with 8 alters. We have a video series strictly about teaching and educating the “singlet” loved ones . My advocate and partner has great insight into understanding DID and helping others to understand too. www.TH-cam.com/c/Sparrowisms.
I thought at first jess' makeup looked bolder like I was expecting ed then I knew it wasn't his voice! I've recently started dating a someone who is in the very beginning stage of learning they have DID. So far not too many clear cut differences in alters other than a little, but we're patiently trying to learn and thank you so much for your videos bringing so much comfort and education. They aren't ready to watch them themselves, but have found a lot of comfort in me passing on some things I've learned from watching all your videos long before I even met them! I was meant to watch DID videos for a reason, I guess!! 💜
We have several accents in our system. The body was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne I (kitty) have a geordie accent Buddy- is very well spoken with a slight northern twang Luca- has a broad west Yorkshire accent Georgie- has a slight Yorkshire twang but he rarely talks so 🤷♀️ We have one "American" accent within the fragments that dont front as well as Scottish 😂🤷♀️ We're a mix match system -kitty 😺
Jess, Jamie; thus video has got to be one of the most interesting videos from you ever. I never really placed that the Welsh English Jess speaks and the London English Jamie speaks until you both really brought it to focus. Not only was that interesting but I loved that Jess responded with her gut reactions to the words probably because she did the test before to make sure it would work for your channel. But Jamie was far more analytical with his answering... and that glasses push up the nose is so something I could imagine a doctor doing during a consultation... this was a smashing good video, it was the Weasles Pajamas!
I had the worst day. Lots of random dissociation which resulted in hours spent staring at the void, one of my littles accidentally came out at work and started a food fight then decided she was tired and sat on the bathroom floor crying because she wanted to go home EVEN THOUGH NOBODY TOLD YOU TO COME OUT, my stupid protector didn't allow me to order takeout and he probably will have a go at me for calling him stupid, and I just poured my boiling coffee all over my lap and my new jumper. But multiplicity posted and impossibly handsome James is here so all is well. Edit: I also have an alter called James
My alters do not have different accents, but some are left handed, some are right handed. Their voices are different in pitch and tone, and one of my alters has a heart murmur. One writes poetry and one is an artist… I have a dancer also! DID brains are just amazing.
just wanted to say- you must be such a giving parent! you're so kind and capable of thinking on and adjusting your actions, which I think is the most important trait for a parent to have.
We have OSDD and everyone has a different voice and way of speaking. I think that it helps us to distinguish the different parts. There are some accents. We live in Texas so that’s the most influential way of speaking that we know and one alter can have a very strong East Texas accent. We have two folks who are English. I really appreciated what Jess (?) said at the end about alters’ accents, that they don’t have to be perfect. That really helped us because we watch soooooo much British TV and I think sometimes things get a bit mixed up. I also have an alter with an accent that just is. It just developed for him and doesn’t really represent any place.
Jess, I'd like to thank you for having this channel. I don't think I have DID, but have been dealing with some intrusive thoughts that were very out of character for myself for some time after a medical scare. And when I was searching for answers, I came across your channel. Its helped me in becoming more accepting of my thoughts and learning to have a conversation with myself and trying to figure out what is it that I need and that I've been ignoring or suppressing. Its a lot less scary and a lot less isolating now that I am now taking the time to address my thoughts rather than trying to shake them off or push them away. I've liken to much like a driver chatting with a stressed or moody child during a car ride. Kid vents, driver tries to alleviate what it is during the drive time. So thank you, because of you I've been able to realise some of my needs and have been able to find the help that I need.
@I Yam Who I Yam youre not alone. I will say some of my thoughts are so loud and so out of character i literally stop and say out loud, "wtf was that? Why?!" And look around. Sometimes I get an answer and others I don't. But some do drone on and fill my head and I've been told its mild depression and anxiety and I've been working on them because they are my thoughts, the back of my head thoughts that I've repressed and they finally got to shouting. Which makes sense, after my trauma, my stress levels just skyrocketed and never really came down. There are days, where i will have full conversations and Q&A sessions during work or during my drive, and often times it feels like I have a nervous, moody, and clingy kid next to me or in my car that I have to talk to or reassure them for them to calm or settle back. The more hateful and toxic thoughts are harder to work through, but if I can get a word in through all that chatter and swirling, i usually say, "I'm listening, I'm not going anywhere, what else, tell me." because i literally cant, I'm frozen or very timid to move and rather than to say "stop and go away" which never really helped, attempting to show empathy to those thoughts have helped a little. Its very disorienting, often times i feel like my body and spirit are misaligned. Like i know my feet are on the ground, but it still feels like my heels are hovering in my calves instead.
@I Yam Who I Yam I hope it helps, I think it does take practice. Strangely at the time I was researching and practicing communication, education and dealing with difficult situation with children techniques for my job. I never thought I'd use it on myself, when I noticed it, I was kind of surprised that it somewhat worked, because I was using language that I usually didn't with myself. It did feel like a lie in the beginning, the attempts of saying something soothing or compassionate or understanding, still does depending on how bad it is, but for the most part, its serving a bit of a speed bump when I realize I'm starting to speed down with unwanted and stressful thoughts...though sometimes, it doesn't work and just feel like an unpaved road and then I hit a tire eating pothole. Those are hard days and very loud.
I don't have DID but I'm absolutely in love with Jamie and Ed. Ollie's a teenager right I'm a teenager to just thought you should know. Also, I love your Channel and it's so amazing how different your altars are, this taught me a lot and you're all British in some form. I'm American so that's exciting, Jake isn't British hello which is really cool.
I haven't taken it but I bet my southern-ness would definitely come out too! As soon as I saw the heavy rainfall question my immediate thought was "gullywasher" lol! XD Edit: Just took the quiz, and it was all southern for me too!
Wonderful to see you guys again! Sorry to hear that you've been having such a rough time. I hope things are improving for you all now. I just wanted to say again, thank you so much for all you guys are doing. I'm a streamer on twitch and recently had a couple of systems join my online community and if it wasn't for channels like yours, I would have had no idea how to interpret and interact with them. I feel like I've gained a bunch of new friends and it may not have been that way without you guys. So thank you. Wishing you all the best and sending you guys lots of socially distanced love and hugs!
I said out loud "YAY!!" when I saw you'd posted a new video, and clicked on it right away! Have been thinking of you (all) lately, and wanting to send a wee message to encourage you. Then I remembered that you don't know me, and may not even receive or read an email if I did send one!! ... My heart was sending you affectionate energy and empathy though, in the words I didn't end up sending... Know you've been in the thoughts and prayers of many people who know fully that it isn't easy, this thing called life! Not easy at all. Being a public figure complicates life at times too. Wanting to honor all it takes for you to face and then make it through each day... You really are amazing, and continue to teach us all! (Safe) hugs from Canada! ~ Nadine
I am Canadian and grew up obsessed with Disney movies and I can definitely see jakes accent coming from those movies. Once u said it was like ya that totally makes sense I can hear that in his voice for sure. Love you guys watch all the time. Your whole story is so interesting I love learning so much about DID. Good work to you all 😁
I have recently come across your channel and I just want to say that you all are doing something amazing. This year has been rough on us all and it is good to hear that you're taking care of you. Love your channel.
This is very random, but I recently learned that I have a covert DID...your video popping up today kind of made my day as it's been a rough one due to my new therapy (EMDR). Your video's are a shining light.
This is such a fun video! It's interesting that Jess says "pop" I'm always told that only people where I live say pop and I live in the USA. Also the quiz says that I'm definitely not from Ireland or Britain but I'm most similar to people in Galway and London.
I've been having a really serious problem with not knowing what my alters accents are, because I have one that is from the islands and then the rest of us are a mixture of southern/midwestern American. Thanks for the video, they are all amazing.
Fun fact: In my personal experience, I’ve talked to quite a few systems that use the term “Little Ones” for child alters,, hearing it on this channel, and thinking it’s purely DID terminology, myself included. I just now am realizing that it’s apparently just a dialect of English, but has unofficially been adopted by the DID community. All the other systems that use this terminology have watched this channel, and coined it from this channel.
It's always so inspiring and reassuring every time there's a new video posted here. We're a large system and quite a few of us do have accents and identify as from parts of the world we've never been to. And while one of us has the thickest Northern Irish accent, it probably isn't accurate to a person actually from there. Just our learned conception of what that accent is like, and it's sometimes hard for her to not feel like it looks put on, but that's just how she speaks. This really helps put things into perspective on that front.
We also have lots of alters from different parts of the world, and some feel a little nervous about their ethnicity because our accents aren't really accurate besides what we've been exposed to It's always nice to have videos like this cause we are all valid and we're just raised in a different place then what we identify with
So I was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, but I have spent the last 15 years in the UK (Mostly East Anglia) and I took the test as myself (Sapphire). It picked up that I was not from around there and was more likely to be from outside the UK. Pretty accurate! I will ask some of the Alters if they want a go and see if their answers differ to mine. Thanks for sharing Jess and Jamie! :)
Thank you for all your videos you have made my husband learn about did.He watches your videos and he is now learning even more, the accents and all that come with it you have helped so much.thank you jess thank you guys.
i just want to share my experience. The body is Italian and we all are italian except for Jake, who is American i think (?), i'm not sure, but if I (the host) have to talk to someone in the inner world and sometime even in the internet, i just switch to english and I think that english is my mother tongue. Emma (the caretaker/protector) is SO italian and loves to speak italian, idk about the others really bcs they never fronted "alone" (most of the time I co-front with them so i'm not sure if they speak english bcs they fell comfortable with it or bcs of me). Anyway, this is so weird for me but i love it bcs it makes me proud whenever i switch to english. bye, Greta
I didnt know being overt was a thing. I always wondered why our alters sound and act so different outwardly. They aren't afraid to be who they are at all. We also have a British alter who is a co-host and he is from Brighton but we have never even been out of the United States. I find it so interesting how he knows so many things about the UK that none of us knew.
My family is from Southport and I grew up on the Wirral (over the river from Liverpool), the test picked up Liverpool and Blackpool (Southport being in the middle) so not only did the test pick up the vocab I grew up around but also what I've picked up from my family which is really cool. There was a little section in the middle of England which I'm a tad confused about but that could just be average terms most people use I suppose. Love this video! Such a cool idea and the test is so fun
I too am Welsh! It’s super nice to see someone more local on TH-cam, especially someone as delightful as yourself! Let’s go Welsh friends let’s go! 🏴 (Hello to Jamie as well! It’s nice to see you!)
What a wonderful video, both to theorize as to your own system’s accents, but to also remind people that each system will be different and specific to their experiences. Welcome back and we hope Ed finds the peace he needs to feel comfortable enough to come back. 💜
I'm Dutch but took the quiz for fun, apparently I have a vaguely London accent but it could absolutely tell I'm not from anywhere in Great Britain. Loved this video btw, I definitely enjoy these more laidback videos just as much as the very informative ones!
I missed you guys. I’ hope you are starting to have an easier time now. Thank you for uploading, that was fun. I feel safe whenever I hear Jamie talk and hearing your voice makes me feel happy, Jess. The accents are a part of how I feel, I guess. 💜
Thank you for this interesting video! I never really thought about how I pronounce words and now I’ve noticed my way of words change depending on the headspace. Thanks and Smilies!
Im so glad to see yall back. Its always ok to take a break when its needed. Take it easy a d loved the vid. So cool to see these differences in the accents!
Yay loved this video! Deffo want to try this quiz now, we have a few different accents, would be interesting to see how ‘deep’ the accents are or whether they all come up as the same. Thanks for sharing
Jamie, there is no need to apologize. I'm sure I speak for all of us watching when I say we understand that life can be a troubling sometimes, take as much time as you need. Also, I loved this video, accents has always been an aspect of DID I have always found fascinating :)
I am an English alter in an American-bodied system and this quiz actually got relatively accurately whereabouts from England I am!! which is interesting because the system has never met a British person, we've never been out of the country, and all of our knowledge of English accents is from Harry Potter and other English media, although to be fair the hosts did hyperfixate on it for quite a long while and almost obsess over being able to near-perfectly replicate what they heard, so that could be it. --Ocean
when i did this test a while back, it placed my accent as being between where i grew up (east midlands), and where my parents grew up (essex/london), which i thought was FASCINATING. my accent has always been different from local to me, so to sorta visually see that its sorta physically a blend of the two was really interesting.
This quiz was so telling I was raised in Newcastle but left when I was 12 and I am 21 now and have lived in the southwest since but the quiz still knew I was brought up in the northeast...I feel so northern right now and I am happy about that!!
We have Nigerian and Xhosa accents in our system, as well as an Alter with a Californian surfer accent. One of us has a 1940s American dialect and another has a Northern Chinese accent. We are all over the place haha. Rogue / New Host / Ex Persecutor / M / 19.
Don’t apologize. I truly hope you’re all feeling better, if not I hope you all will soon. Sending a huge hug to those that will accept it and a shy 👋🏻 to everyone else. Much love.
Was really happy to see this video. We’re a multiple with a few different accents. So there’s 12 of us. I, the host, have a northern accent which is very strong. We have a new alter, Malachite, who has an accent which is a mix between northern and Scottish, with more of a Scottish lilt when it comes to certain words. 7 of us, including our youngest little have American accents which I attribute to all the shows we watched and our love of American culture. Some of them our southern, some our from the east coast. And then we have one alter with an Australian accent. We think that’s a result of the friends we have from there and again a show from years ago that’s close to our heart. The last two are mute. Oh and btw we’re an OSDD-1B multiple from England. Susy
This test was surprisingly accurate! my hubby is English and I’m northern Irish. He’s been living in Northern Ireland for 5 years. The test picked up our accents and was quite accurate with locations.
It's annoying to me that youtube isn't showing me TH-camrs who are Welsh! You'd be surprised at how long it's taken me to even hear about this channel, and add a Welsh girl, hearing about a Welsh TH-camr always makes me feel so giddy. One of our dragons is flying high for our little proud country
I’m so glad I found multiplicity and me, everything I’ve seen so far has answered several questions and created a few new ones. I got multiple diagnoses and haven’t been able to get the help I need learning due to losing my insurance 😔 I just want to figure out how to feel ok again and how to sort it all out, I think that’s how I mean to say it. Thank you so much for these videos!
I always thought it was so fascinating how alters can have different nationalities (and by extension accents) than the body. I wonder if Jake took a similar quiz, we could learn what part of America he gets his accent from.
Hello, can you guys (if you haven’t already) make a video about alters and aging? How does it work? What about age-sliders? Just answers to questions like that I guess
I find that interesting that there's a difference! I haven't heard my headmates talk through my body much, but I know that one of them who fronts semi-frequently speaks in a deeper voice and a slower tone, almost like they're speaking with a different part of the larynx...
I want to do this test. I'm Canadian but my mother is English and her mother is Welsh. I also now live in Suffolk UK so I've no idea where idea where it'd place me.
I have alters with accents from New York, Gen American, London, Yorkshire/Lancashire, Hispanic and Russian mostly American even though I was born near London and mostly up North. Some from our family (English) and movies and shows that influenced us.
Hello, everyone in the comment section! I saw some of you were wondering about the American version of this test? This one might be what you're looking for: www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/upshot/dialect-quiz-map.html
It got me pretty close, if more northern than I technically am (yorkshire born and still there but it put me further up). Intriguing how yours turned out! Be intrigued how the other alters scored too 🤔
The body is British. I am British. We have 21 alters. Carmen is from Heaven (she's an angel) Delta, Roman, Logan, Alex, and Alexander are American Sammie is Irish Ali is Australian The rest of us are English - Rem
Greetings! I am going to be presenting research on DID at an Undergraduate Research Symposium and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas! This research for DID could include different psychological perspectives or social problems that occur in our world. Thank you for the content you bring and I really enjoyed the video.
This is really interesting! I got friends with DID, though we only ever have written together, I never realised their accent could change! I however have Autism and been dissociating and had/have heard/hear voices but when I told my doctor and he wrote down to the psychiatrists. They have just said I just were burdened alot, since I too have ADD and Depression- even when I tell them abt me not remembering things having happend and all- qwq
I'd love to have done this quiz being a New Zealander brought up mainly on British English terms but it costs money to do it. I wouldn't say I have DID although I possibly have BPD but my now ex partner discovered he had DID through learning about it from me and noticing he'd have these switches and memory blocks, Although myself and him as the host are no longer together I still keep in contact with him to support him and look after/spend time with a few of his alters, particularly his little alter who sees me as a comfort source for them and the person they can come to when they need reassurance or support. Even though he and I aren't together anymore I'll always be around for him or his alters to lean on and I still care deeply for him and his alters.
Not completely related to the video, but its a question I've had for a while. When it comes to media representation of DID (I know split sucks, never seen it, just heard its bad), I have a question about a particular thing. Its a game called Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice, and during one of the trials, it comes out that one of the witnesses has DID. I found it really interesting, and its honestly my favorite trial and what led me to looking up more information about DID in the first place. Is that representation more positive or more negative?
This is such an interesting quiz! As the host of a DID system, one of our alters (Dave) has a Liverpool accent, and another has a Canadian one. It would be interesting to see Dave do this ^^
Also interesting to me that Jess is very sure/precise in her selections whereas Jamie likes to play around more with vocabulary. I think it shows different thought processes in addition to different dialects.
Me: There's no way that's a real word
Jess: (Choses that word)
Me when Jamie chose “sprog”
@@jordi221b you’ve never heard of sprog!? I’m gonna take a guess and say you’re not from this side of the Atlantic 😁
@@elmondo-s1e yeah gotta say, "sprog" is not a word that made its way to the states lolol
omgg. We have like 3 system members who are British and the body is American, and we have never traveled outside of America- Winter
Same!
Bruh we got a Japanese one and a British one- the body is chinese and we grew up in America- this is so wack

We have also never been out of America ever
That’s really fascinating how all of these different dialects in your system seem to have a specific, logical reason for them.
For us I’m genuinely a big believer that DID is logical and that our experiences moulded the need for different parts to be in their different ways 😊 voices included!
Love Jamie. “Don’t know what Jess says, probably something inspiring, take care 😉”
very interesting to know that not every system has different accents.

Though I might share this, cause why not:
Not a system, but I am Autistic.
When I got to secondary school I started speaking broad Scots (probably not to stand out)
I have quite a neutral accent now but it changes depending who I'm speaking to. If I speak to someone from home I snap back into the accent but I've had americans, australians and Irish people all ask me if I'm from their countries. It can be quite embarrassing cause I don't want it to seem like I'm taking the piss or anything
OMG, reading this I could just think about Abed from Community, specially when you said you explain everything better as if you were in a comedy show.
Was the word you were saying “plausible?” If it was, you DEFINITELY said it the “right” way. Lol.
But these videos are so so so helpful thank you so much
Show your friend a lot of other DID channels too! DissociaDID has a TON of information and advice.
Its possible Ed did the make-up for Jess
We have several accents in our system.
The body was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne
I (kitty) have a geordie accent
Buddy- is very well spoken with a slight northern twang
Luca- has a broad west Yorkshire accent
Georgie- has a slight Yorkshire twang but he rarely talks so 🤷♀️
We have one "American" accent within the fragments that dont front as well as Scottish 😂🤷♀️
We're a mix match system
-kitty 😺
Do you know who is the host?
@@arbitrium1520 hey, I (kitty) am the host, but we've had several hosts over the years
Jess, Jamie; thus video has got to be one of the most interesting videos from you ever.
The weasels pyjamas 😂 amazing! Thank you 🙏
I had the worst day.
I'm sending you all hugs!
@@sophiekerr8964 aw that's so sweet thanks 🥰
Our host is called James. You can call me "Al" which is a nickname, not really comfortable giving my actual full name publicly.
@@RialVestro nice to meet you AI 😊
@@diddiaries6068 you're so beautiful🥺
My alters do not have different accents, but some are left handed, some are right handed. Their voices are different in pitch and tone, and one of my alters has a heart murmur. One writes poetry and one is an artist… I have a dancer also! DID brains are just amazing.
Jamie: “sorry for the lack of videos for some time”
Me: “I’m just glad you’ve returned” -Jacob
just wanted to say- you must be such a giving parent! you're so kind and capable of thinking on and adjusting your actions, which I think is the most important trait for a parent to have.
One of my alters has a British accent (Southern England)
it's amazing how different they look despite being in the same body
Jamie's just like "every word i might ever have heard used" 😂
I've taken the American quiz and, the obvious for me: Southern as all get out. Lol
Can you link me? I'm curious to see what I'd get

Yes please post the link. I'd be quite interested to take that quiz.
I haven't taken it but I bet my southern-ness would definitely come out too! As soon as I saw the heavy rainfall question my immediate thought was "gullywasher" lol! XD
Edit: Just took the quiz, and it was all southern for me too!
Yea' we'd love the link to to American english test..

Im from Texas and want to take this test it would be like " there's an imposter among us"
I feel like Ed was co-coning when Jess fronted, it was obvious from the start, from her makeup to her accent
Me too! I’m from Michigan and it took me 20 years to find out everyone except us, and some parts of IL and OH, call it “soda” 😂
I'm from South Wales also and I say Pop! I was almost angry when I found out most people call it soda or a soft drink 😳🤣 its Pop! 🤣
My brother likes to call it soda because it sounds fancier and it causes big debates 😆
Hello fellow Critter!
We also have lots of alters from different parts of the world, and some feel a little nervous about their ethnicity because our accents aren't really accurate besides what we've been exposed to
It's always nice to have videos like this cause we are all valid and we're just raised in a different place then what we identify with
You guys are my fave mental health channel. I hope things are going well for you. Ive been having rough mental health issues lately too
So I was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, but I have spent the last 15 years in the UK (Mostly East Anglia) and I took the test as myself (Sapphire).
Anyway, this is so weird for me but i love it bcs it makes me proud whenever i switch to english.
bye, Greta
For some reason I wanna write in British accent every time I write english, because I think it is cooler, than my own dialect.

Love it! It is lighthearted and completely enjoyable. I hope things are settling for the family 💚💚

This is amazing a I've never thought of Jess as having a welsh accent, until she said welsh words when i could suddenly really hear it!
I'm always amazed at how all the alters work together to make the videos interesting. Kudos to M&Me

Jamie, there is no need to apologize. I'm sure I speak for all of us watching when I say we understand that life can be a troubling sometimes, take as much time as you need. Also, I loved this video, accents has always been an aspect of DID I have always found fascinating :)
I hope things get better for y'all, and that your family is safe. Keep your chin up! You got this
I'm not surprised Jamie got mostly East Anglia, I have family who live there and he sounds a lot like them (in the best way, I really love his voice)
Apparently my accent is just really confused. I could be for anywhere down south or in the Midlands. I've moved a lot so I guess that's why.
Thanks so much for this! Our British headmate took this quiz for a bit of fun and it was surprisingly spot on!

I took the US one and it was pretty accurate to my location. I’m curious to see what Jake gets :)
Love y’all’s channel!
I'm still impressed by the change in accent and appearance.
Really missed seeing you all!! Hope everyone in your system and family are in good spirits and health!!!

Greetings! I am going to be presenting research on DID at an Undergraduate Research Symposium and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas! This research for DID could include different psychological perspectives or social problems that occur in our world. Thank you for the content you bring and I really enjoyed the video.
Loved this, nice to see you both, hope you're all well 🥰
This is really interesting!
It would be interesting to see Dave do this ^^
As a scouser, im interested to see if itll say im welsh or something lol. Also go liverpool!
I'd be more fascinated to see Ed take this test! Lol love you guys
Nice to see you both again! This was fun and interesting!
I've noticed even their eye movements are different.
