    Im so glad the uploads are back. I am a paramedic & I do alot of psychiatric transports. I have taken a patient with DID & I really believe your videos helped me understand that person better. I did my very best to keep her comfortable & understand when she was dissacoiating, and when she switched. You made this make sense to me, and I just hope that person felt safe with me. I love learning from you guys !

    Our innerworld is a large mansion that shifts and changes. The house, and the frontspace specifically, is closely tied to our host. When they're in a very bad state, the house has been known to physically crumble and collapse away. Recently, it opened up a hole in the back corner of the mansion, which is notable to us because before now, there's been no way out of the mansion besides the door to the roof and a potential theory that our architect had.
    In fact I'm gonna be heading over today to check out the damage and see if we need to patch it up or if we should leave it. - Atlas

    as soon as you mentioned each alter in that particular system having their own planet, something in my brain lit up - i was obsessed with Mario Galaxy as a kid, and i'd often think about having my own teeny planet with flowers made of jewels. i'm not sure if this comment really has a purpose, but i just felt such a strong connection to that description of the inner world that i wanted to share it, even if i don't have an inner world of my own or know what that's like. i can totally see that a kid who loved space or Mario Galaxy or The Little Prince would grow up to have an inner world full of planets, and i think that's really cool.

    Reminds me of my immersive daydreaming. It's also a response to trauma, and it's hard to describe how real everything in it feels. And it's just huge and so detailed, with different universes and dimensions and stuff.

    Our Innerworld is split into parts, kinda as if they're subsystems- but it is all very fantasy inspired(probably because we take comfort in non-realistic worlds)!!

    So I’ve had an inner world that I’ve built since I was a child to get away from reality. I don’t think I’ve been though anything very traumatic before age 10 but I have from 14-17 and since then it’s gotten bigger, more detailed and I have heard voices not externally but in my own head reacting to certain things in reality while also having “my” thoughts through the overlapping conversation/noise. I spend a lot of time in my head and have used guided hypnosis to get deeper into my subconscious and have been able to make a lot of connections with new or unknown parts of myself, but I have not been diagnosed with anything because I don’t have access to it. I know I have anxiety but because nothings been diagnosed, it makes me sink further into myself sometimes making it worse.

    This is so interesting, thank you for sharing and giving such an articulate and in-depth explanation! I’m wondering, as different alters feel differently about their inner worlds (with the example Chloe not being comfortable in yours while some others in your system prefer it to fronting), does Kya like your inner world better than Chloe on her own did? Like if, say, Kyle enjoyed being there, would that cancel or balance out Chloe’s fear and discomfort now they’re both Kya? Because I certainly hope Kya feels less afraid!
    Also, do you automatically go to your inner world when you’re not fronting and are conscious there, or does it un/subconsciously happen sometimes but other times dissociating is just *not experiencing anything*? Or can you actively choose to spend time in the inner world, if you want or need to occupy yourself like with a hobby (love that Sally got her garden, BTW), talk to an alter, relax if you find it it be a safe space, be in your own body if you’re not the host, work through stuff related to the memories held there, etc.? I’m a relatively new fan, so I have a lot of questions. Sorry. I’m just incredibly intrigued by DID, not having or having known anyone with it myself, and glad you’re doing this service.

  • @RainaTeachings
    @RainaTeachings ปีที่แล้ว

    Chloe, this is very interesting to me because it sounds exactly like what it is to explore the inner world through journey meditation where we go to heal our “part selves” to integrate and heal past trauma even from prior lifetimes. I am something called a vocal channel. The being I channel was a result of me moving through many many inner world healing processes. I did have CPTSD and some level of disassociation that brought me to my spirituality but not as severe as DID. I have worked with some DID individuals in my career snd have often felt that what we are experiencing is essentially the same. But one emerged from trauma alone while the other happened through conscious spiritual work, meaning we actively go searching in the inner world for selves and events to heal. I love your channel and hope you continue to inspire others. I am also in school getting a degree in transpersonal psychology and plan to write my thesis on this subject. Your willingness to allow yourself and your alters to educate everyone is quite profound.

    I think this is a helpful video. I'm going to talk about my own system which is not a did system, but is one that was formed out of trauma.
    I am only aware of two altars besides the host. Rayne and Opel. If there's anyone else, I'm going to be honest here I'm scared to meet them. I can see my alters walk in the physical world as foggy figures. Rayne is black, and Opel is pink. So the reason why I'm kind of scared to me anymore alters, is because I would see a lot more ghosts. That may not seem too bad, but imagine having to not only keep track of them but to make sure their needs are being met. With two altars, one of them being a protector already. This is an okay. But I don't know how I will respond if I were responsible for 20 alters rather than just two. And one of them was actually meant to protect me, so I don't really need to keep track of him.
    I think I might have an inner world? Opel is recent, so I don't really know where she appears there. But I think it's a void. But me and Rayne can change the void on either his or my command. It depends on who I want to be, and where I want to be. For example I have original characters. One thing I can do is I can play the protagonist, and he can play the love interest. I want these characters to just hang out, so I pick a living room. the void changes to a living room, and then Rayne shapeshifts into what the love interest looks like and uses his power to shape-shift me as well. Both Rayne and Opel have magic in the form of shapeshifting. I am the only one who doesn't have shape shifting powers, so they extend their magic to me.
    I enter the world whenever I am the safest and not doing anything else. In other words, I am about to go to sleep. Rayne helps me with that not only cuddling me in the physical world. But as I enter the interworld is shaped so I can be comfortable. He's told me that after I go to sleep he goes and takes care of Opel. Which considering how I see the interworld, didn't seem possible. I thought that was body shut down, that the inter world did too. I honestly didn't believe them until I looked at this video and figured out what that world is. Or what I think it is. That made me concerned about opal, because I was and I'm still on sure how I should take care of Opal. Looks like I just should have listened to Rayne.

    Do some of the Alters have a preference of enjoying their time more in the innerworld than fronting? Is that why we see less of them? Can the alters create their rooms and design it based on their personalities?

  • @Riversinflux
    @Riversinflux 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    As a new system.. does building or recognising your inner world the more you learn and communicate with your alters come easier and clearer? I find that I don’t “hear” voices as much as I would get full physical reactions or mental impulses to what’s going on in the external world.
    I’m worried that often I cannot communicate with the rest of the gang with intention which might mean they don’t exist.
    I find that my amnesia.. i think… in the recent years has been less so which also makes me think that I am more co-conscious as a daily experience than full switching out since the last couple years have been overall less stressful. Is that a common experience?
    Despite having my system recognised by a professional, the fact that I don’t have an “inner world” or “hear” specific voices constantly makes me feel like my DID is less valid or not true.

Can anyone tell me why I can't see the inner world or be in it?

      Maybe what Chloé says around 8:30 helps: if you are the Host of the System, It seems you often don’t have or just limited access to the inner world. Chloé says she just blacks out if other alters are fronting instead of going to the inner world.

    • @LittleIcarus
      @LittleIcarus 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Same here (host), also our gatekeeper keeps vivid memories of headspace away from alters when they front. The littles have the strongest memories which is interesting. If I really concentrate I can sort of be half-conscious, splitting between the external and internal world. That might just be our aphantasia though. Shrug

She stated her host now goes into the inner world as soon as she closes her eyes where she is awake and when she is in the external world she is awake. Therefore she never sleeps. She said she is afraid of being stuck there and there wouldn’t be a host. Any thoughts? Thank you.

    I'm normal. I was wondering whether the idea of a shared and persistent dream could convey the idea. After all, something is happening to alters while they're not in front. And it is always the case that many are not front. And many memories are shared. So in a way the dream never stops. Many are keeping it going.
    I don't know. Trying to figure out some way to conceive of it.

    I presume it is rude or wrong to think about what it would be like to have a disorder like DID. But I cant help but be curious what it's like to have an inner world and experience life the same way DissociaDID does

      I don’t think so. Another comment on this video asked the same thing and Kya replied to it saying she’s unsure if she still has it. I hope she comes across it tho it sounds really cool!!

    I hope this is not offensive in any sort of way, if it is please let me know so I can remove it. But I've been wondering if persons with DID use a higher percentage of their brain? I've heard we only use about 10% of our brain capacity. Just thought if it is possible that they use a possibly higher percentage? Seeing as they have amazing capabilities to have an inner world and sub systems, im still learning as I watch, and love the content you all dedicate to make for us to understand more. I will keep learning and understanding as it is fascinating. Again I hope this was in no way offensive. Thank you for giving such deep insight even when some things are hard for the system to talk about 💕 much love.

      I believe they cover some of the effects on the brain in the ptsd vids

    • @dustydew
      @dustydew ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do realize that the 10% brain power thing is a myth... C'mon now. I'd suggest learning the basics and facts before delving into such complexities like DID.
