Remember that when baking you can always substitute! For pancakes I would use applesauce, about a quarter cup for every egg needed! And if you get the small snack cups they are the perfect size without having to store a big jar that you don't use all the time! 😊 Oh yeah, you can also use a small banana instead of an egg as well! 😉

I learned how to make ghee last year from salt free (grass fed, but that’s expensive!) butter. You just put a block in the oven in a glass pan at 250F for an hour and all of the milk solids will fall to the bottom. Then you scoop off the clarified butter from the top. As long as you don’t get any milk solids in your jar then it’s shelf stable and doesn’t need to be refrigerated ❤
If you do it on the stovetop and allow the milk solids on the bottom to brown, the ghee develops 10x the depth of flavor and a gorgeous caramel color! Mmmmm!

I live in a four bedroom home with my niece but because of health issues I have been limiting myself to my master bedroom area a lot lately. We moved a T.V. and my computer into the bedroom for me. So in some ways it feels like living in a smaller confined space like a camper or car. I have found it quite comfortable so I understand better where you are coming from. I'm a retired high school teacher and I love to travel vicariously through the youtube channels I watch like yours. I love your friendly personality and your happy personality. Keep filming.

Hi Rowan. In my 59 years as a Florida native I've never seen a croc but tons of gators. They are mostly in fresh water lakes and rivers, etc. Though they will definitely swim in brackish water (mixed fresh and salt). If you are approached by a gator while kayaking give it a firm rap on the snout or head with one end of your paddle. It will disperse. Also If you have fish, bait or strong smelling food on board it's possible to get a "visit". Keep your food in a small cooler. Enjoying your channel. Welcome to Florida. Hugging the shoreline near trees and bushes is NOT SAFE in many areas of Florida since Alligators rest nearby and if surprised will rush your kayak. I kayak and also Winter in Florida but I DO FAR LESS shoreline activities here than in other places in the country. Locals here will assure YOU that "YOU'LL BE FINE .". HOWEVER, that's Tourism Talk since Florida COUNTS HEAVILY ON TOURISM and SNOWBIRDS. Be aware that ALLIGATORS MATE DURING THESE MONTHS so they are very ACTIVE AND PROTECTIVE of THEIR SPACE. On a happier note 😂, your Pancake Cookies looked 😋 great 👍. I had a Sugar Rush earlier today and broke open a can of Hershey Chocolate Frosting 😂. I know, so 😋 and it'sa convenient fix for a few quick spoonfuls of pure PLATINUM chocolate goodness. It also keeps well in the can FOREVER 😊.
Hey Rowan, yes there are alligators and crocodiles 🐊 in that water, and Sharks 🦈 too! They are in basically all Florida waters. I only kayaked in the Ichetucknee Springs River but there are gators there also. I have a video on how to make your own Ghee. You can use applesauce to bake with as a replacement I think for oil. I'm not sure about an egg replacement but you can buy powdered eggs to keep on hand. ❤
I would fall into the water in a kayak with my bad balance & those mangroves have the creepiest ugliest huge spiders. I'd be terrified of it all.... The gators & insects. Your fearless!!

That is something that I would never do because of all of the alligators so I was a little on edge watching you go through the water and also get out on the shore. But secondly about the Publix water that's not spring water I hope you know that. Plus they had fluoride. You want a good spring water? We definitely have seen gators on the beaches of southeast Texas near Galveston. They’ve become acclimated to the muddy Gulf Coast waters. So please be safe, I was for sure thinking you might find a gator in your kayak expedition. Just can’t get over what a brave gal you are and how I wanna be like Rowan. 😎

Goodmorning , Rowan . Im sitting here with a hot cup of tea with my cat Bella . She is a Bengal and she stays very close to me . Yes , Im a cat person . Its cold here and will be even colder tomorrow morning , possibly freezing . I have two outside cats and I'll be working with them today getting their kitty boxes ready for tonight. I have some old canteens I fill with hot water and place under their bedding to keep them warm all night . It does an excellent job . Home cooking is best and lastnight I made a pizza from scratch with plenty of onion on it . Well , take care and stay warm . 😊
Hey girl Ghee takes the dairy out of it. :-) so it makes it shelf stable. I've been a fulltime vanlifer over 4 yrs. and I'm a vegetarian- so you learn over time whats easy to cook/travel with..... sending love and light from my rig to yours :-) PS, I also make pancakes when I want something sweet on the road.... I add walnuts for protein so I feel better about it lol..... I think I know the area you might be in, (I'm from FL) You really should ck out the Salvador Dali Museum

As an avid paddler I was thinking about crocodiles at the very same time as you were Rowan. Your pancake cookies looked yummy.....you have such a homey little setup ...and spread your sunshine to others. Does it ever get too cold for your butane stove to work? It does here in Canada so I need to warm it up first inside my coat or sleeping bag. Has been in the -20s here in Ontario lately. This reminds me of my weekend trip to Chincoteague island in VA. I went Kyacking too and loved it. Saw wild horses. You’re also very brave. I couldn’t go kyacking alone let alone in clouds or thoughts of alligators in water. 😮

Hey Rowan, it’s possible that you could find eggs where you saw those Muscovy ducks. My girls have been leaving eggs in different places. Found one nest in the overgrown brush around my property this week and was fortunate that they were all good all 17 of them. If ya find some and want to make sure they are not rotten, you can test by putting the entire egg in water. If they float they are no good, if they sink they are good, if they tilt or stand on end they are not as fresh. As far as checking to see if fertilized you can use a flashlight. Ya might google that process. They are super good for you and best for baked goods. Oh and they do not have to be refrigerated just saying.

If you come more South, we have tons of beautiful nature preserves and state parks! There’s one right across the street from me where people have definitely parked, it’s nice and hidden from the rd. In NC there were gators seen swimming merrily along one of the beaches. They arent supposed to be able to swim or live in saltwater, but they were doing as they pleased that day!😮😊

Hey girl Ghee takes the dairy out of it. :-) so it makes it shelf stable. I've been a fulltime vanlifer over 4 yrs. and I'm a vegetarian- so you learn over time whats easy to cook/travel with..... sending love and light from my rig to yours :-) PS, I also make pancakes when I want something sweet on the road.... I add walnuts for protein so I feel better about it lol..... I think I know the area you might be in, (I'm from FL) You really should ck out the Salvador Dali Museum

Also watching you make your little tiny chocolate chip cookies without the proper ingredients I was curious to see how it would come out. But one thing you really need Rowan is a spatula. Would make things a lot easier.
As an avid paddler I was thinking about crocodiles at the very same time as you were Rowan. Your pancake cookies looked yummy.....you have such a homey little setup ...and spread your sunshine to others. Does it ever get too cold for your butane stove to work? It does here in Canada so I need to warm it up first inside my coat or sleeping bag. Has been in the -20s here in Ontario lately. Glad to see you got out on the water....its such a feeling of freedom ....when you arent trying to film...that is.

This reminds me of my weekend trip to Chincoteague island in VA. I went Kyacking too and loved it. Saw wild horses. You’re also very brave. I couldn’t go kyacking alone let alone in clouds or thoughts of alligators in water. 😮

Hey Rowan, it’s possible that you could find eggs where you saw those Muscovy ducks. My girls have been leaving eggs in different places. Found one nest in the overgrown brush around my property this week and was fortunate that they were all good all 17 of them. If ya find some and want to make sure they are not rotten, you can test by putting the entire egg in water. If they float they are no good, if they sink they are good, if they tilt or stand on end they are not as fresh. As far as checking to see if fertilized you can use a flashlight. Ya might google that process. They are super good for you and best for baked goods. Oh and they do not have to be refrigerated just saying.

Also in the dollar store you can buy a silicone spoon to scrape everything out the bowl. No waste at all.
Rubber spatula gets everything out no wasye very little cleanup too
If you come more South, we have tons of beautiful nature preserves and state parks! There’s one right across the street from me where people have definitely parked, it’s nice and hidden from the rd. That sounds creepy 😂 Englewood/Rotonda West area! - Lizzy (my son uses my TH-cam, so it looks like I’m a 12 year old boy 😅)

In NC there were gators seen swimming merrily along one of the beaches. They arent supposed to be able to swim or live in saltwater, but they were doing as they pleased that day!😮😊
They can live in what's called: "brackish" water, which is half salt, half fresh water.
If you get a chance, hike the Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail. Beautiful views at sunrise or sunset!
