Just a few things! Love your channel. I van dwelled for two years and then went back into trucking. I am working on my next camper conversion for when I decide to retire. That said. The reason why your ecoflow (I have one. The 600 watt.) is pulling so much juice is because you keep taking the top off. Stir it initially. Turn on high and then when you see bubbles drop to low. You shouldn't have to cook more than two hours max. For your dishes you can cut a Viva paper towel (or the like) in half, take a gallon Ziploc bags with 1 1/2 cup distilled water, 1/2 cup vinegar and teaspoon of dish detergent. Mix that well and then add your paper towels. This is a great way to clean your dishes. You can also mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Happy travels and I look forward to more of your videos!!😊
Am 65 on Soc sec and have been dreaming of going on the road for many years now. My car is old ‘97 accord so first item is getting maybe a newer minivan. Love watching your videos and lives. You’re giving me the courage to travel as a single lady. I’m actually getting into the mindset that I CAN DO IT!!! Keep safe sweet one. I look forward to sharing your adventures ❤

You give me hope !! I’m not living on wheels but you are great at it 👍👍 Tomorrow will be one year my husband passed away from a long illness. My very first time of living alone, all alone and a condo. We sold our home of over 20 years to move into a condo purposely because of my husband‘s condition with Louis Botti dementia he was diagnosed at 52 years old. My husband would’ve turned 60 in June but he died February 8, so tomorrow is the one year anniversary. Hardest thing I’ve ever went through in my whole life and I’ve been through an awful lot anyhow, it just occurred to me one day after he had passed that I am all alone. I’m living in my condo and I’m working, of course, but it’s so different and so strange and there’s so many things you have to think of and do and anyhow I watch many different people on TH-cam but I’ve come across you several different times and watched a lot of your videos and you really inspire me you give me hope that if you can do this as wonderfully as it looks like you do and you make it all work out I can live in my condo by myself and get through this. Anyhow, you do inspire me also, I wanted to say you have a beautiful smile and I love your laugh. Your laugh is always so special you’re just a wonderful personand you’re in my prayers for safety and good vibes sent sending your way. Keep doing what you’re doing and living your dream of your journey. Just wanted to say you’re amazing and I’m grateful to have found you much respect from Melissa Rooker.❤❤
Thank you so very much! 💖 welcome to the channel! 🤗 I am glad I can bring you hope. I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. Being alone can be lonely but there is also a lot of peace available in the solitude. I’ve found in the solitude I have the chance to really explore all my feelings, and as they begin to settle, a peace arises that holds a lot of contentment and sometimes joy. My prayers are with you and I’m am grateful you have chosen to be a part of the channel community!
Sorry for your loss, it'll be two years soon since my husband passed away after a long illness. It is hard to adjust. Everyone told me not to make any big decisions for at least two years, but I'm now thinking of maybe moving to a condo - no more yard work.
@@patriciaphelps5875 yes that’s so true ! I’m so sorry about your husband! Yes it hits so hard when it is your spouse 💔💔. Life is totally different and it’s hard to adjust. My prayers for you 💔💜🙏
I saw another person who lives in their car keep a spray bottle of vinegar and water mixture to spray on their dishes after using them to clean. Cleans them and sanitizes them. Your chili looks delicious!
Wow, that chili looks awesome. You could do a quick fry up of ingredients, then throw them in the crock pot to slowcook plugged into the running car while you Door Dash. (A Win-Win...earning money while cooking dinner!) 😊 I also loved the bracelet you made! You should maybe look into getting more plain bracelets, wire and stones and make a few more up for sale to your viewers. That would be a nice, relaxing little sideline to add to your crochet hats and Door Dashing. I enjoyed the video.
I love Albuquerque, NM 87107 . I love hosting folks who travel. I help women and others with being safe . Mother Bosque Garden . We support folks who need clean, safe, sane and pretty , in a good space for camping . Glad you had fun in ABQ. !
Rowan I know you said you left eye is from a birthmark . My 6 year old granddaughter was born with many birthmarks all over her face and body . They lasered the big ones on her face when she was newborn . No scaring was left. I know you said you will tell your story one day . Wish I could tell you the whole story but in short the birthmarks saved her life . The Dr ordered and MRI at 2 weeks old and it showed she had 3 blood clots in her brain . We praise God for her birthmarks
Once you start a crock pot, don't open it to check or stir. It looses a lot of heat and has to start over to get up to the cooking temp if you open the lid. Instructions that come with the unit usually state this. Just a quick tip....
Wish you the very best in all of your endeavours. You are doing an amazing job out of what life handed you. Love what you said your Mother told you ‘It’s not about if the glass is half empty, or half full, just be grateful you have a glass’. Keep being you ❤
To save yourself scrubbing, there are crock pot liners. Greatest thing for easy crock cooking. Love that. Love your bracelet. Show your new tattoo up closer. I want a raven tattoo.

I remember always having to pre heat a crock pot for it to cook at high in 5 hours and you never lift the lid during cooking is another crock pot rule. You did the safe thing browning the meat . I love the set up you have . Your one smart cookie. Have a great day.
Hello Rowan! Your smiling face always beightens my day. It was fun to see a bit of New Mexico - I especially loved the cacti. We have sandhill areas in Saskatchewan with large and pretty cacti. I adore your crockpot - it's perfect for you. That chili looked so yummy - great toppings. Congrats on your tattoo!
The chili looks so good. Suzanne here again, ever been to North Carolina, we have the best beaches and mountains here. For Door Dashing, probably the best place for that would be Raleigh or Wake Forest, a big college town. Thanks for sharing your life on the road. It’s helping me get through this breast cancer thing. Take care and be safe.
The combination of your smile and your laugh is just wonderful. Your videos are such a vibe. Watching makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. I’d imagine people who know you IRL would say the same.

I was on a live from another youtube traveler and I mentioned your youtube name for someone needing ideas and other people had heard of you as well! Just thought you would get a kick out of that.
We have spent a lot of time in ABQ and NM in general - and one of the most beautiful places in the world is Taos. Not a place where Door Dash is likely happening, but it’s beyond words, the beauty. And the air after a rain fills with pinyon pines and rosemary. Heavenly. I highly recommend El Pinto for food in Albuquerque.
That after rain smell sounds amazing! I was in Taos but it was many years ago. It would be nice to go back sometime. I loved seeing all the earthships!
Really enjoy your channel. Just for your own safety, other vanlifers have suggested not telling people where you are until you've left the area. Other great tips you might find helpful are on a channel called Lady Bugout (in her small red van with black ladybug dots) Stay safe, and continue the great content!
I love your little crockpot! So cute! 🍓I have a small one too and use it a lot! Here’s something very easy and quick I make in mine when I don’t want to stand at the stove stirring in a big pan: 1 can Black Beans (drained) 1 can Corn (drained) 1 can Petite Diced Tomatoes (don’t drain) Stir together then add (but adjust to taste): 3 Tbl. Cumin 1 Tbl. Chili Powder Just a dash or 2 of something spicy like Red Pepper flakes, or Sriracha, or any good old “Hot Sauce” Lastly, add any favorite shredded cheese… I use Cheddar or a good Mexican mix. As much as you like, but I start with 1 cup and sometimes I wait until the rest is heated through and turned off before adding. Depends on what you’re using it for. This is very similar to chili so you could add cheese earlier as a thickening agent. As a dip, cook it longer so it thickens down on its own (if needed) and add cheese last to top as a nice cheesy top layer to dip into.
Thanks for sharing your recipe. How long do you normally cook it in your little crockpot? It is a good recipe that you can modify, based on what you have on hand. 🍓👍🏻🍓👍🏻
@@jodyhalbedl4716 - I cook it long enough to reach thickness I desire… for example two or three hours on low for a good salsa… 1 hour or less on high if I want it more like a soup or like chili. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn to the sides of pot. If you do add cheese, I always tend to add it AFTER I turn off the crockpot, and give it time to melt. Sprinkle on top once it’s “dip” consistency and let melt. 😋
@@jodyhalbedl4716 - I also have a secret 🤫 ingredient that I add if I want to upgrade the protein and good fats… Tuna! No one seems to notice but I do get more compliments when it’s added. Try adding albacore if you’re not crazy about possible tuna flavor… but honestly, no one seems to notice! Just a very small can or half of a regular can if you’re not really sure. 😊
Oh my goodness!!. Definitely you are a great inspiration. I will do my travel of only four hours, pending. You are an example!!🥰🫶🏻👍🏻👍🏻. You go girl!!👍🏻👍🏻
Just starting the video but love seeing your channel growth! About 45 minutes after 500views and almost half hit like…. Here’s my comment for the engagement algorithm😎
when I use my 2 qt cooker, I used canned chili. I put it on low and let it go for several hours while I do errands. After it starts loosening up, I then add my small cans of tomatos and chili beans. I like onions in my chili so I use onion soup mix for some onions and added flavor. Later on I might add rice to it to bulk it up. One th ing I did learn, it you have a 2 qt or a 7 qt slow cooker the cooking times are about the same. Making chicken veggie soup today. Using shredded carrot to cut down on the cooking time. But it still requires enough cooking time to soften then to my liking
OMG! Strawberry pot, it is sooo cuteeee, I love strawberry too. Your tattoo is wonderful, psalm 23 is my favorite since I was little girl, I know it by memory. I enjoy your channel so much. Your videos bring me peace and relax me. I recently came across your channel (If you have read some of my comments, hi again Im Rossie from Florida hahaha) and I have been watching videos since then! lol. Keep beautiful, keep simple and keep being you :D
I saw the live and that little slow cooker is too cool.🍓WOW your in NM.When you take off you go…got a good ways too. There are still a few people at Quartsite in Az you might like it there now that most of the crowd has dissipated. Lots of sweet older gals out there that live in there vans and cars too. Take care and thanks for sharing.
Hi Ro Just saw your video ,omg that chili looks so good never thought about putting the fresh cilantro. 🌿 I’m going to have to try your recipe. It looks simple and delicious. I’m drooling over here . I swear if I lived in the states, I’d beg you to drive over and give me some.😅. I think your crockpot took longer than it needed heating up your chili TIP .I think you should have heated it all in the one pan got it really hot and then put it into your crockpot. Due-to your energy you have to deal with. Your tattoo and bracelet are fabulous 😊.
Love these kind of videos! Crockpot fudge is an easy one and you can do so many variations and toppings. Also to say you have such a calming aura and I love watching your videos on a bad day 😊
I keep a spray bottle of water and vinegar for dishes. It leaves no taste and cuts the grease on pots and pans etc. I do a 2/3 water 1/3 vinegar. Or sometimes more vinegar less water. All depends on how much water I pour in the spray bottle. I also use Dr bonners soap I think it’s called. It’s expensive but can dump water anywhere. Environmentally safe. I use the water vinegar sprayer in my urinal thingy takes odor away completely. Just an fyi for the tmi. 😆
Hi Rowan, I always look forward to see where you are...and what you are cooking. Im wondering if you could do steamed cinnamon bread/rolls in your crockpot...and if it would work like an oven? Just wondering if you are considering a Bird tattoo after your awesome encounter the other day. Wendy
Steamed cinnamon rolls sound amazing! I made them on the stovetop but I bet steaming them would make them really soft. I’ve been planning to get a swan tattoo someday but had t thought of one of the parrot. That was a sweet encounter though and so maybe! 🤔🦜
New crock pot User mistake. Taking the lid off and on. You lose all your heart and it's like starting all over. You have to leave lots on. No stirring no peaking. Nada.
You might want to get a spray bottle for vinegar and water mixture to wipe clean your dishes. Also, mashing some of the chili beans while cooking will thicken up the chili. It did look very good as is, though. Your videos are totally real. I really like that about your channel.
I just watched this so you may already know this. It is not good for your car to just sit and run. Please ask a mechanic about that. It may not be a problem anymore with your van. Just wanted to help. I had to pay a lot in car repairs due to that happening. It was not on purpose but, due to terrible traffic. Good luck! 🍓🍓🍓
Wow that chili looked delicious! If you haven't already, check out Santa Fe and Taos. I think you would really like those places. So much art and history in Santa Fe especially.
Rowan, that looks like an amazing video! I loved seeing your tattoo journey and all the delicious chili cooking. It's so cool that you challenged yourself with DoorDash and got a great tattoo to commemorate your success. Jeremy at the tattoo shop seems like a fantastic artist. The chili looked absolutely mouthwatering - what a tasty way to use your new crockpot! I'm impressed with your resourcefulness in powering it with your ecoflow pack and car. Great job making it all work. Your videos are always so enjoyable to watch. It's lovely to see your positive spirit and kindness shine through. Thank you for sharing another entertaining glimpse into your vanlife adventures. Wishing you all the best as you explore beautiful New Mexico. Keep up the great work! 🍓🤍
Hi Rowan! Welcome to Albuquerque! I don't know when you were here, but if you were still around I would happily treat you to a meal featuring New Mexico's "chili"...green chili grown in Hatch NM! It's truly delicious! I am a fairly new subscriber and have been enjoying living vicariously through you as you take us on your adventurers. Thank you for taking us along :)
I was really curious about the size of your Portable Power Station. What is its MAX when running ONLY from its internal batterypower (without added Solar or Car charge). BTW, since you cook your meats first a lower Watt Rice Cooker would cook your Chili faster and use less power. Simply put a quart cup extra liquid in the Rice cooker to compensate for the escaped steam while its cooking. Get a Rice Cooker with a "Keep Warm" setting and you can let those flavors blend together again for reheating it over time. Super easy, just don't open the lid as often to save power.
Maybe cooking the raw veggies in with the meat while frying would save some on the battery pack when using the crock pot👍👍👍 you can make a dump cake in your crock pot👍👍👍
Hi Rowan! Jeramie did an amazing job! I love your bracelet! You’re very talented! 😋Yummy looking chili! Love the cactus!🌵 Take care and stay safe!❤️🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
I use a remoska instead of a crock pot. Its low energy and like a mini oven. If you heat everything up before putting into the crockpot it uses less power and cooks faster.

That looks soooo delicious!!
Oh my goodness!!. Definitely you are a great inspiration. I will do my travel of only four hours, pending. You are an example!!🥰🫶🏻👍🏻👍🏻. You go girl!!👍🏻👍🏻
Have fun and safe travels! 😊
Dear Rowan. I enjoyed the past two lives on Sunday. The pot is cute with all the strawberries and the chilli looked delicious 👍. Safe travels🙏
❤ Yes! Love your ink. Thats my favorite reading.
Just starting the video but love seeing your channel growth! About 45 minutes after 500views and almost half hit like…. Here’s my comment for the engagement algorithm😎
Awe! Thank you! I appreciate it! 😊
You have such a youthful and joyful presence. I enjoy catching up to wind down after work! Warm wishes from the Detroit area 👋
Maybe you would get more doordash near UNM on Central, or maybe in Northeast part of town
when I use my 2 qt cooker, I used canned chili.
Your 🍓 crockpot is Purrrfect!! The chili looks 😋 I love leftovers over rice or as a burrito too. Excited for your cool tattoo. Ride safe! ❤
Thank you! 😊🍓
Its best to keep the lid closed on a crockpot. The flavors will still combine even without stirring.
Love the psalm! Love your channel! You have a sweet personality.
Nice !! That is one of my very favorite verses!!
I absolutely love watching your videos your so relaxing to watch... From Kerry in England 😊
Welcome to NM! Hope you enjoy our beautiful state. May God bless you and keep you safe. Great tattoo🙏🙌
The Chillie looks YUMMY 😋!!! Very nice tattoo looks nice!!!
Hi Rowan, the chili looks really good it makes me want to make some. Congrats on the new tattoo. Stay safe
Thank you for being you!! Love your videos!
Thank you! And thanks for the tips! I think I’ll try that next time!
I’m glad I found your channel and I love your laugh
Welcome to the channel! 🤗
So glad to see you put a board under the crackpot. I was nervous for your white fluffy covering. Chili look good. Love watching your videos.
Hiya Rowan! Welcome to my city! Hope you enjoy it here and come back often!
Crock pot awesome
New crock pot User mistake. Taking the lid off and on. You lose all your heart and it's like starting all over. You have to leave lots on. No stirring no peaking. Nada.
Love new mexico a great place to vist
It’s beautiful!
You might want to get a spray bottle for vinegar and water mixture to wipe clean your dishes. Also, mashing some of the chili beans while cooking will thicken up the chili. It did look very good as is, though. Your videos are totally real. I really like that about your channel.
Nice ideas! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos! 😊
That crock pot is super cute. I wouldn't be able to resist it, either. Your chilli is making my mouth water. Congrats on your new tattoo. 🙂
Thank you! 😊🍓
I just watched this so you may already know this. It is not good for your car to just sit and run. Please ask a mechanic about that. It may not be a problem anymore with your van. Just wanted to help. I had to pay a lot in car repairs due to that happening. It was not on purpose but, due to terrible traffic. Good luck! 🍓🍓🍓
The more you open the lid on a crockpot you will lose heat. It’s set up and forget it kind of idea.
Good to know! Thank you!
We call this taco soup❤ we had it last night for dinner. I just add a couple more types of beans in as well otherwise same!
your laugh s wonderful and warms my heart
You could get everything ready, cook on high to get the dish going, then put on low while you drive!❤
Love your videos! They are so relaxing. My dream too is to have land and a tiny home! You seem like such a lovely person ❤
Yum
Wow that chili looked delicious! If you haven't already, check out Santa Fe and Taos. I think you would really like those places. So much art and history in Santa Fe especially.
My residence is in ABQ. I now nomad, too. Very high property crime thefts. Be very careful with things....anything being stolen.
That little crock pot is sooooo cute!! 🥰🍓
Congrats on your new tattoo 🎉
Thank you! 😊
The heat in the crock pot comes from heating unit on the sides. Under side doesn’t get very hot, but it does still get warm.
Chili looks awesome. Liz
Maybe cooking the raw veggies in with the meat while frying would save some on the battery pack when using the crock pot👍👍👍 you can make a dump cake in your crock pot👍👍👍
Cool looking tattoo 😊
Thank you!
The chili 🌶️ looks yummy. Thanks for sharing your experience getting your tattoo. Have a wonderful week. Stay safe.
Thank you! Have a wonderful week as well! 😊
Thats awesome crockpot
Hi Rowan! Jeramie did an amazing job! I love your bracelet! You’re very talented! 😋Yummy looking chili! Love the cactus!🌵 Take care and stay safe!❤️🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
Thank you so much! 😊
I use a remoska instead of a crock pot. Its low energy and like a mini oven. If you heat everything up before putting into the crockpot it uses less power and cooks faster.
Alburqueque is beautiful 😊
Love all your videos
Ty for putting your cutting board under your crock-pot!!!!!!! That situation had me very anxious 🙃😊
❤ hey how are you doing today I am really enjoyed your videos I am 63 and disabled and my dream is to get me a camper and go on the road but I can't be by my self but I am going to try what do you think your friend Sandy
Well done !
